#163 of 766 hotels in Da Nang
The first boutique hotel in Da Nang. Hi, my name is Jane. I was born in Hanoi, Vietnam. I later spent my 20s and early 30s in Toronto, Canada where I considered my home. However, as I fell in love with my husband, an old friend of mine who was living in Melbourne, Australia at the time, I now followed him back to Danang and consider this my new home . Having lived in both worlds, the East and the West, I am fortunate to be influenced and learned from both cultures. I love cooking, reading and traveling when I have free time, even though some of these hobbies seem to be a luxury now that we have a 6 years old girl, a 4 years old boy and another girl on the way. They are truly full of joys but driving us crazy all the time too :) My motto is Carpe Diem, a Latin aphorism meaning Seize The Day. Life is a journey and we are trying to live every single day to the fullest.

I don’t usually write reviews or make effort to leave comments - unless I’m REALLY happy with the services - such as this hotel here. The staff were lovely, courteous and extremely helpful. Service is 5/5 no doubt. They made us feel special and appreciated. I do hope the management team recognise the hard work the front service desk girls put in! The place itself is clean, spacious for a couple like us and lovely ! The bed is really comfortable, like sleeping on marshmallows. Would definitely come back and recommend to my friends and family. Love this quaint hotel. Well thought through. Room amenities are nice. Netflix system is a plus. The room is exactly like in the picture. Staff is extremely helpful. Thank you for the great stay. Location is a bit off. No dining service on site. Breakfast advance booking is required.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Moclan. I travelled to Da Nang for the marathon event and this hotel was perfectly located close to the beach where the race started and finished. I was very pleased about everything from the booking experience to the check out. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mila and Cindy who made me feel very welcome and who were so open to have a discussion about anything and practise their English same time. (There were no communication issues what so ever.) I stayed in a room with the balcony where I could enjoy a bit of a breeze at night. The room was very clean and well equipped - exactly like on the photos!! I want to make a special note about two things that are my usual concern and that Moclan handled so well: air conditioning and noise level. Firstly, I absolutely dislike freezing cold room and the A/C unit making noise and blowing to my face when I sleep. So when I got into my room and the A/C was set for a very comfortable temperature I was already happy. Also there was a very quiet fan on the ceiling but not directly on top of the bed which made my sleep undisturbed. The other thing: noise from the outside. Usually makes me irritated.. but loved the quirky note and the ear plugs that I found in the room - just in case the neighbours decided to blast music a little too loud (they didn’t.. not for too late anyway :) ) With all this I slept very well in the super confy bed! Moclan is located two blocks from the beach but a couple of kilometers from the town centre. I ended up walking a lot (though taxis are cheap and safe too) and I wished some restaurants that I wanted to visit were closer.. then one evening in the town I realised what a noisy and crowded place it is and I was immediately pleased about my choice of accommodation and the location. It felt very homely and I found a couple of nice little cafes in the neighbourhood. Favorite local breakfast (brown rice porridge with complimentary tea) is served at Bao An Macrobiotic vegan restaurant just a few minutes walk away. I liked their brown rice set for dinner, too. (If you are into plant based eating, make sure to also visit Jungle House and Roots plant based cafes, even though not in the same neighbourhood.) Overall a fantastic stay and if I have a chance to visit Da Nang again I will definitely stay at Moclan. Hope to see you soon again!

What a beautiful boutique hotel this is. The photos on the website do not lie, the rooms and reception are stunning. As an interior designer, I like to stay in places where I can see attention to detail, and this definitely fits the bill. The dark wood, along with concrete, plants, and water features create a beautiful, tranquil atmosphere, which is exactly what I hoped for when I booked. Our room was large and airy, with an incredibly comfortable bed, plenty of storage, a window seat, and small outdoor balcony overlooking the street (perfect for watching a thunderstorm one night!) The bathroom was gorgeous, although if you’re shy, you might not like the fact that you can see through the glass wall into the shower. We are not shy! The AC worked a treat, and was also complimented by a stylish ceiling fan. Inside each room (and also in reception) was a great guide put together by the owner, that included tips and recommendations, some of her favourite spots to eat, for sightseeing etc. This was such a nice personal touch, and you get the feeling that she has put a lot of love into her hotel. The hotel is located on a quiet residential street, about a 5-10 walk to the beach (such a lovely beach, great for relaxing, swimming, sleeping!) It is not really close to the ‘main’ part of the town, so you either have to do what we did (long walks) or I guess you could hire scooters or get taxis. We liked the fact that it was away from the noise and bustle, because we just wanted to relax. We found a great vegan restaurant close by, they opened for breakfast too, so food was not a problem. The folks on reception were incredibly friendly, always stopping for a chat, to ask about our day, and make recommendations. They also helped us to get a taxi back to the airport. This hotel was actually one of the highlights of our trip to Da Nang, thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend!

Very cute and quirky rooms just 5 minutes away from Da Nang beach with everything you need! Love the small touches in the design of the room. Reasonably priced and the ladies at reception were also so friendly and helpful.
