After just searching on the Internet my husband picked this great little homestay! Huong is very helpful and friendly. It is exactly how it is described. Quiet, quaint and only a hop, skip and a jump to the beach. Everything is supplied and at your service. Also just around the corner Yang Yang Restaurant - perfect!
Great hosts. Nothing was too much trouble! They organised us bicycles and a tour to Marble Mountain and surrounds as well as transport to and from the airport. The breakfasts were top notch!! The proximity to the beach and great restaurants within walking distance make a great alternative to the hustle and bustle of Hoi An. Unfortunately weather was not the best being rainy and overcast. The beaches were rather dirty with litter and the very high seas prevented us from enjoying the beach.
Do yourself a favour and stay here! We cancelled our hostels and did Air B n B instead and it was the best thing we did and cheaper than private hostel rooms. So close to the beach (1 minute walk) and such incredible value for the price. We stayed at beach resorts in Bali before we came to Vietnam and much preferred the vibe of Lido and way way preferred the Vietnam beaches! An Bang is what Bali used to be like- reminds me a bit of a mini Cangguu. Hong is so helpful and will help you with anything you need (scooter, laundry etc) and served breakfast in the garden each morning which was delicious. We couldn't believe what we got for the price we paid, $65 for two nights for two people including breakfast. We stayed in one of the Bungalows. Hong's husbands restaurant on the waterfront is delicious with cheap cocktails. We spent a lot of time there on the free sunbeds just eating drinking and swimming. Absolute bliss, such an untouched, peaceful, clean section of white beach with virtually noone around and noone trying to sell you things. My favourite beach by far from my Bali and Vietnam trip! Locals are lovely and not pushy at all we loved wandering the shops and enjoying massages in the beautiful little village of An Bang. Great place to explore Hoi An. We stayed half our time here and half our time at the beautiful Palm View Villa (equally amazing) closer to town and found this the perfect balance. Have recommended the same to many friends since. Where else in the world can you have the amazing atmosphere of the french colonial old town paired with the peaceful white sand beach?! Could easily have stayed at Hongs the whole time if needed. Easy trip into town on scooter (10 mins) or Grab easy to catch. Also recommend Be Be tailor- great job on my boyfriends suits.…
The pictures told the story the Hotel was exactly as portrayed. Huong and her staff were excellent. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with all the amenities. The place is surrounded by restaurants and eateries which is a lot of fun. You are a hop skip and a jump (literally) from the beach. What more could you want.
We stayed here for 5 nights and loved it. Short walk across to the beach and many restaurants and cafes nearby. Hong arranged a driver for us each day and even had my golf shoes fixed. Nothing is too much trouble for her !! Her family has a little restaurant on the beach and we had dinner there 3 nights. Its not a Michelin rated restaurant but the food came quick and was tasty and the views over the beach at dusk were to die for. We will be back and bring some friends next time
We enjoyed 7 nights at Lido Homestay. Hong was very helpful and gracious. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was not included in the price. However the food we ordered was fresh and tasty and reasonably priced. Bikes were supplied free. Would return.
We stayed for 4 nights at Lido Homestay and were welcomed by our host Hong. She was super friendly and she offered us all the options during our stay. What to do and where to go. We used the homestay bikes the first night to get into town and decided to go further into the area the next day. Hong got us a motorbike that helped us getting around and gave us the opportunity to see the scenery around. The Room was very convenient and breakfast was amazing, the last day we even got it arranged on the beach. When you’re considering Hoi An, stay at Hong’s Lido Homestay also for the beach which is a two minute walk and at this part of the beach not crowded at all.
We booked this place originally for 2 nights but after the first night she said there had been a mix up and the room was booked out! Very disappointing and she didn’t even offer a discount or help us to find somewhere else to stay.
This is my second visit and it has retained the high standard of my first. The staff are attentive, the rooms well sized and the beds very large. It is situated 3km out of town but bikes are offered free to guests. To offset this, the beach is only 100mts from the front door and has sun lounges from Restaurant SeaSun who have great food and will deliver drinks to your lounger. The staff are very attentive and breakfast is delivered to your bungalow. I can highly recommend this as a place to stay.
The host was incredibly friendly and the room was brilliant. Was so nice to have bikes throughout the stay as we got to explore really well. They let us hang on to the bikes until our bus at 8:30pm in the evening after we checked out which was super nice. Thanks for a great stay. Would recommend. :)
