Under the Coconut Tree Home stay is the perfect place to relax and escape the busy lifestyle that Vietnam offers. We provide a Bamboo Beach hut experience, a literal two minute walk from the beach with a great choice of restaurants and bars which regularly offer live music and always have great food for you too enjoy as well as a colourful burst of culture. Our Home stay provides a great atmosphere and setting for backpackers, holiday makers and families to relax and enjoy the postcard beach that we call our back garden. We regularly host entertainment nights at our hostel, with a BBQ Buffet being offered once a week followed by a impressive bonfire on the beach and spur of the moment bar crawls through Hoi An's infamous bar street. Hoi An is a Culture capital of Vietnam, as previously one of the main shipping ports in SE Asia there is alot to see and more to experience.

Saw the photos and reviews of this homestay and it looked lovely. Was lovely and cosy on arrival but as the days progressed, I became less and less happy with the place. The first night, after a long day of travelling, I took a shower which then flooded the bathroom. My partner had to put some antacid down to unblock it. The walls are solid brick with no tiles which was not ideal. Second day I found small mites all over my toothbrush. Third night the toilet blocked. My partner spent 45 minutes unlocking it, which left a lingering stench of human excrement blowing into the bedroom. Lastly, it was an effort trying to figure out the mosquito net which was a round shape instead of a square shape. That made tucking the net it difficult as it kept coming apart. The last night was very noisy, as there seemed to be some sort if party going on. As a result, we did not sleep much. Really lovely staff and lovely cosy place, but an very disappointed with this. Would not stay here again.

As far as dorms go this is one of the best I ever stayed. The beds are in a kind of bungalow style house with lots of fresh air. You can hear the ocean from your bunk. The matress is super comfortable and the lower beds have curtains. The whole place is full of plants and flowers - nice to sit and read in the garden if you want to chill. The food was really good. The staff is professional and friendly. You do have many options for the free breakfast but only green tea for free. From the backdoor, you walk to the beach under 2 minutes.

"Welcome Home" I legit fell in love with Under the Coconut Tree. I knew the moment I arrived that this place was special. Located approximately 100m from the beach, the rustic style getaway is perfect for those looking to unwind and chill out. No review is perfect without mentioning the AMAZING DUO of Tien and Thanh. They make sure that this place is running tip-top, and will go out of their way to ensure that you are having a great stay. This homestay also seem to attract people of similar vibe, so don't be surprised if you find yourself hanging out with the same people every day. The food was so good, that i rarely left the cafe. This location was truly perfect. Will be back soon!

The staff were impeccably friendly and helpful, I already miss them! I am so glad we decided to stay (literally) on An Bang Beach, rather than Hoi An itself. This backpackers like homestay was very suitable for anywhere from solo travellers to families with both shared dormitories and private bungalows available. The huts were awesome, the complimentary green tea and breakfast, as well as the reasonably priced lunch and dinner was absolutely delicious. We loved their fresh fruit juice and smoothies and their fresh vegan spring rolls and chilli grilled calamari! Such good vibes and atmosphere around this place for sure and the cutest dogs ever. The only thing I have to note is that this place is very much open air and thus exposed to the elements. Being mildly allergic to mosquitoes myself, I had to be extra adamant about keeping all doors shut, my repellent on and the mossy net down. The open air aspect also made it easier to hear some of the noisier guests. But honestly, even in saying those couple of things - there would be no chance I would even consider going elsewhere, I absolutely loved it and cannot recommend enough! Thank you <3
