I have stayed here multiple times with my Finnish groups during the winter seasons. It was always a big pleasure to return, as it's a cozy small hotel, beautifully maintained and the staff really welcoming. Location is perfect next to the river, surrounded with rice fields, and easy access to the beach / old town by walk, bicycle or the shuttle bus. Excellent stay! Hope to return here once again, with my family this time though :)
My wife and spent 3 days in Hoi An at Trails resort in Feb, 2020. The room we were given was terrific, at the back of the resort, on the first floor, so we could hear the local (2 ) cock-rills practising at 5.00 am, who needs an alarm? Great to hear. The room was huge, 1.5 levels, with bed on the top floor and a living/lounger area balcony on the lower floor The breakfast buffet was a full on eggs, cereal, fruit, yogurt, pastries, tea, coffee, everything you would want to have to have a good start. Massage services got a work out, which all came back with great tributes. We had dinner with our group on two occasions, on both occasions those that ventured into the Vietnamese menu had a very tasty dinner, which looked and smelt lovely and got plenty of thumbs up.
Lovely staff, great breakfast buffet, big clean rooms in tropical garden. Great swimmingpool.about 10 minutes weet with bike to Old town and also free shuttle bus to toen and beach.so close to everything but in the resort just silence.
This review could have been so much better with more attention to detail. The room was large with nice balcony and the pool was also large. The hotel is let down by a lot of minor things. Pool could do with a clean as there is visible green algae on tiles. Saw gardener maintaining garden well and even clearing moss off some stones. Would have served better to get a brush on the pool tiles. There is a games room with pool table but missing black ball and white ball chipped and battered which just indicates a lack of attention. Initially given wrong room but they moved us quickly. No maintenance of toiletries as we had to ask for them to be topped up after first day (were not full on arrival). Free shuttles to town centre but large gaps in timings so best arrange your own taxi. About 45 mins walk into town if you feel up to it. A bit more attention and this could be a really great hotel…
This is by far the nicest hotel we've stayed at in our 20 days of touring Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. All of the accommodations have been very good to excellent but the Hot An Trails has everything: spacious clean rooms, comfortable beds, stunning landscaping and gardens, a very nice outdoor poo and hot tubl, delicious breakfasts, and a free shuttle service to the beach and the Old Town. In addition to this, they have a most accommodating and courteous staff! They are consistently friendly, helpful, gracious, charming and professional. We also took advantage of spa services and were very pleased with our massages. Kudos to the staff and especially the manager, Ms.Vinh, for her leadership. Job well done!
The hotel reception is decorated nicely and we were welcomed by friendly staff who congratulated us on our honeymoon and we were able to check in smoothly. They were able to advise us on a trip to ba na hills. We were shown to our room, which was a suite. It was an impressive room with high ceilings, nice rustic wooden furniture and it’s own jacuzzi bath. This room did unfortunately have a few things which I would say could do with improvement, firstly there was only one chair on the Balcony, which meant we did not use it as we would not have been able to sit together outside. Another thing I would suggest is new flooring/tiles in the bathroom and jacuzzi area. The flooring was a pale green lino and something you would only see in a public toilet which we felt could be improved easily. The tiled floors in the hotel communal areas looked fantastic, they should replicate this in the rooms. The ‘mini bar’ had two beers, two cans of coke and a bottle of water which were not complimentary, hardly a minibar. These a minor things which would not take a lot of effort to improve. The pool area was really nice, but unfortunately we did not have time to use it. I had a Thai massage at the spa which was superb!! Would definitely recommend this! The breakfast buffet had its own egg station, nice juices and fruit and various other options. The hotel is located 40 minutes walk from the ancient town which we walked once but it was very far. We mostly took cabs as the times for the shuttle bus were quite spread out and sometimes at short notice the bus would not run. We did not see the bus once, so it may not even exist! In this scenario the hotel was organise taxis to the town free of charge which was good! The return cab is about 60000 dong which is £2-3 so it’s not bad at all. To summarise we had a nice relaxing stay in a fairly decent hotel which could do with some room improvements and is quite far from the ancient town, if I came back to Hoi An I would try and stay closer to the Ancient town.…
This was my 5th stay at The Hoi An Trails and I will be back! The Hoi An Trials has it all: spacious clean rooms, comfortable beds, stunning gardens, a huge outdoor pool, delicious breakfasts, and a free shuttle service to the beach and the Old Town. In addition to this, what makes this hotel stand out from the rest is the staff! They are consistently friendly, helpful, gracious, charming and professional. Many thanks to the Front Office Manager Minh and his team - Minh, Vinh, Luy, Chau, Quynh and Diem for another memorable and outstanding stay!
Thanks to all the staff who made our stay outstanding. I got really sick on the second last day and the staff sent a ginger tea over to our room. Very caring. Because I have left it so long to write the review I have forgotten the young lady's name who we spent much time with at reception, but to you I hope your wedding goes well this month. Our room was perfect and the staff were perfect - so what more is there to say. Thanks to all the staff.
We had a really lovely stay in here! The location was great within a short taxi trip both from the beach and the Hoi An old town. There are also some delicious restaurants nearby and a small massage parlour just the opposite of the hotel. The hotel also organizes free transfers to the nearby beaches a few times a day. The atmosphere of the hotel was beautiful, it had a lovely garden and swimming pool. The staff was great too, very friendly and always ready to give an advice what to do an see each day of our holiday. Our room got upgraded to a huge two-rooms-combined suite which was quite comfortable and A/C was working well. The biggest minus was the breakfast that was quite modest. There was omelet frying point which is always a nice touch but otherwise it was hard to find much to eat. And when we stayed there was quite a few guests so it felt like many foods were standing on the tables for hours and for example pancakes were always cold and hard. However, I would recommend this hotel for those who want to stay nearby everything but also sometimes want to relax from the hustle of the city.…
We stayed here for two nights and it was honestly too short a stay. Would absolutely recommend this hotel. The ambience of this hotel was magical, big thanks to Minh and team (Luy, Quynh, Thang, Vinh, Chau and Diem) 😊 If there’s one recommendation that would make this hotel even better, it would be to suggest the pool be closed later as we would have loved to have a swim after we got back from the night market!
