We stayed here around new years. I'm not picky, I backpacked through Asia and slept in some dodgy places. I just don't like being lied to. Here's the story: We moved from one room to another because we went to Da Nang for one night and they were fully booked after that. They welcomed us a little too cheery and...

My girlfriend and myself stayed at this "hotel", first of all they tried to charge us more than we agreed online, they then told us the room we have is no longer available (we pre booked over 2weeks). We got another room, so didn't really bother us, spent the night, ate by bed bugs (see pictures). Asked to change room,...

A spontanious visit ended up in a disaster. A 'dorm room' with four beds dumped next to each other, with a few cm space between them. The floor and sheets were dirty. A hurrendous smell. No locker, socket, light or curtains around the bed. And my iPhone charger got stolen while the room was cleaned. Everything looked neglected. Never coming...

A great little place that comes with a cute little pool at the back. Although not a backpacker hostel they do have a dorm or two so even if you're travelling solo it'll work. Price of the dorm bed includes breakfast which you can choose from a set menu every morning.

Lilac Hotel (formerly Long Life Hotel) is also known as Hoi An Backpackers. Still the same owners, just had a name change. The hotel has both normal hotel rooms mostly at front & back with balconies and the rooms in the middle are shared backpacker rooms. Very reasonable prices. Helpful and very friendly staff, most speak good English, big rooms,...

We stayed in a four bed dorm for one night and it wasn't a great experience. The beds were the worst we've slept on (and we've had a mix of dorms/ private rooms), mattresses were very thin. The beds were next to each other and very close together. The room wasn't clean, and we could easily hear what was happening...

This hotel was glowingly described by our friends at Lonely Planet as a gem in Hoi An so we booked it for a week. Now, we have stayed in hundreds of hotels so we think we have a reasonable frame of reference, and on first glance it didn't look too bad. No lift, narrow staircase, heavy bags but we got...

Lonely Planet recommended this hotel and it looked quite good online. In fact it's mainly a backpackers. We had no hot water in our room the first 24 hours, the shower was a handheld job so showering was a two person exercise, and the bed was up against a wall so one of us was pretty trapped all night long....

I arrived at 6am and requested a dorm room. I added an additional request of being in an All-Women's dorm (bad experience with guys in the previous hostels) and they totally delivered. Had my laundry done, didn't really push me to get the tours and I got what I wanted in an accommodation in Hoi An. Compared to other accommodations,...

Location really close to lots of bars and restaurants so everything was pretty much in walking distance for us. Arrived to find out that we had an upgrade in room (no change in the price) and which was nice. Also has a lovely pool. Most of all, the reception staff were all very lovely and extremely helpful when we were...
