Anantara is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I travel around the world and stay at the best hotels. Anantara is #1. I will definitely refer my friends who travel to Hoi An to use this resort. They will not be dissatisfied or disappointed. Every request that I had made was fulfilled beyond my expectations. There was always a Manager at the front desk area to ensure that my stay was going well. I’m extremely happy with your staff.

Just when I thought Hoi An couldn’t get any more spectacular, we checked into the Anantara Hoi An Resort. After a short flight from Saigon to Da Nang, and a comfortable 45 minute transfer via the resort, we checked-in to the wonderful vistas, lush gardens and waterfront views that is Anantara Hoi An! We couldn’t help but feel the excitement seep in as the wonderful staff showed us to our room! Our room was absolutely stunning! From the crisp clean linens, to the luxurious bathtub, followed by touches of colourful elegance in the lounge area and the beautiful photography by local artist Réhahn, everything was perfect. Our room was a delightful treat! With a ‘welcome’ written in petals on our beds and a small cheese board left for us to enjoy, we soaked in the riverfront views and relaxed from our balcony. Each morning our cup of coffee came with a splash of the scenic Hoi An river below! Talk about breakfast with a view. Their buffet of freshly baked French pastries, tropical fruits, live cooking stations, traditional Vietnamese dishes and endless cups of coffee always set us up for the day ahead! In the evenings we’d dine at Anantara Hoi An’s enchanting Hoi An Riverside Restaurant or catch a couple of drinks at Art Space. Luckily for us Hoi An Riverside Restaurant was hosting their monthly ‘Full Moon Buffet’ while we were there. This lavish buffet experience, with their live food stalls, seafood barbeque stations and selection of local delicacies transported our taste buds to a culinary cosmos of Vietnamese cuisine. Their ‘Full Moon Buffet’ is definitely something not to miss! The pool seemed to call our names in the late afternoons when the sun was blazing and a refreshing drink was the only thing on our mind. It was so nice to have such a stunning pool at the resort, especially after a long day exploring in Hoi An! During our stay, we also jumped aboard Anantara’s sunset cruise. As we headed down the river in their traditional long tail boat, we were offered a tasty platter of varying appetizers, tropical fruits and a choice of wine, beer and other beverages! As we sipped our glasses of sav blanc, we sat back, relaxed and soaked in the sights of a different side of Hoi An! It was magical! Our three days in Hoi An came and went so fast, but we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect way to enjoy this ancient town than in the company of Anantara Hoi An and their incredible staff. With the warmest welcome from Kate and Ms. Hai, to the incredible Mr. Tai and Mr. Ngoc who made our sunset cruise so magical, everyone at Anantara Hoi An was just so incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our time here was truly unforgettable and we are so appreciative of everyone at Anantara Hoi An. I will definitely be returning as soon as I return to Vietnam!

This hotel was one of the highlights of my Vietnam trip. The grounds were huge, lush with greenery and lend the hotel its 'tropical paradise' credence. The room was designed in a modern colonial style, and had the most comfortable bed I've had during my 9 day Vietnam trip. I was also very impressed by warmth of the staff, and the fact that the hotel employs differently abled staff. Will definitely return. For GHA members, My GHA titanium status was recognised, and I had my room upgraded and also received a cheeseboard as a welcome amenity.

We visited for the day from another hotel (our pool was dirty) We were charged a small fee to use the poop which was redeemable on drink and food. I had a mango daiquiri. Which was very watery, not very strong in mango and no alcohol taste. I sent back. Everything else was amazing We requested a bucket of ice and beers for the day. Ordered some delicious food. Was close the the best we had during our stay in Hoi an. Pool water was hot like a spa. Most pools are here but we didn’t mind.

Check-in process was smooth and fuss-free. The hotel is stylishly designed in a contemporary colonial style. The location is quite good. Walking to the Ancient Town takes about 5 minutes, and bicycles were free for hotel guests to use. The hotel is fronted by a wide river, but there is no beach to speak of, nor does anyone actually swim in this part of the river. The view is pleasant, if not exactly spectacular. There are a few restaurants, cafes and shops located close to the hotel so it you don’t need to feel tied to dining within the hotel. The room itself is clean and comfortable, as you’d expect with Anantara’s reputation. The bed and linen is very comfortable, and they provide numerous glass bottles of water to keep you hydrated. There is not much natural lighting in the room (due to the room design) but there are many light fittings to compensate. The bathroom had a large but no bathtub. I like large bath towels as much as the next person, but those at the hotel were a bit TOO large and heavy. The swimming pool is adequately large, with many deck chairs. Service staff were polite and efficient. Breakfast was comprehensive and delicious. The Anantara as probably the only luxurious hotel within walking distance of the Ancient Town of Hoi An, so it’s an easy recommendation.

I stayed here for four nights on a recent trip to explore the UNESCO heritage site of Hoi An, and after researching on options that provide easy access to the old town, my options were dwindled down to a few – ultimately the anantara was my final choice as I wanted a international brand name so that I can at least be assured of quality. The hotel is right by the river, and sits across expansive grounds with a few low-rise buildings in a quiet area that is 2-3 blocks away from the old town (a 10 to 15 minute walk by foot or less than five minutes bicycle ride on one of the hotels’ bicycles that you can borrow). Service was amazing at the hotel, and it started the moment I arrived by taxi. The bellhop was extremely friendly and helped with the luggage, and the receptionist was also at the arrival porch to greet me, before leading me to the check in area in a separate building. She explained about my booking, where breakfast will be served, and led me to my room – I I was upgraded to a Riverview ground-floor suite, and I was impressed by the layout, cleanliness, and classic Indochina-inspired decor in the room that featured lots of teak and wood. The layout of my suite was identical to the base category room I had book - they both have separate sitting and sleeping areas. Outside the main entrance is a small nook with two small day beds and a ceiling fan that you can lounge (but this faces the main walkway so you may occasionally see guests and staff walk across). I believe the only difference for my room is that it has a bath tub built into the base of the shower in the bathroom, whereas the entry level rooms only have a standing shower as they occupied higher floors. Note that the hotel houses its rooms across a few low rise buildings, so rooms on the second and third floors can only be accessed by stairs (no elevators), so if you have mobility issues, you may wish to book a room on the ground floor. The room is very spacious, and there is a nice L-shaped sofa in the sitting area that faces a work table. You have to climb a small flight of 2 to 3 steps to reach the bedding area, where cabinets across the bed to house the minibar, closet and TV. The bathroom has one sink and toiletries are in the signature Anantara pump bottles. Water pressure was extremely good, and hot water gets pumped through quite fast. There was a small drying rack for you to dry your wet clothing if you’ve been to the pool. There are also huge umbrellas in the closet which came in very handy during one of the few days when it rained. The mini bar area had a mini fridge stocked with various items, and there was also a Nespresso machine with nice local viet coffee pods provided. There was also a kettle, and bottled water are from a well-known Nordic water filtration system where Michelin restaurants are also known to use. The bedding was extremely comfortable, and my request for foam pillows was met – the hotel actually has two different types of foam pillows and they provided both. However do note that electrical controls are not ultra-modern touch panel types and consists mainly of wall switches, so you do have to control the lighting individually through these wall switches, but that is not a huge issue for me. There is a Bluetooth speaker on the bedside table that has a USB outlet for your charger. This is definitely not a cheap hotel, with rates going for 2 to 3 times that of local hotels in the vicinity, but it is really very comfortable, and probably the only international brand-name you can find in this town. The swimming pool is also huge and gives you an opportunity to relax and unwind while exploring the town. The breakfast breakfast I was so extremely well with pastries, local flavours, and western options abundant. And as expected from Anantara, service was top-notch across all staff, I highly recommend this hotel if you want a nice fancier option to stay in Hoi An.

I spent 1 night at Anantara Hoi An Resort and it was so relaxing. Checking in with ease and also warmly greeted by the manager. I was then given a tour and shown to the room. The room is very cute and had many romantic touches. The scenery outside the balcony is simple and breathtaking. With the sound of the river, the breeze hitting your face, and taking in the fresh air, there is so much beauty in the simplicity of Anantara Hoi An Resort. - the first thing on the agenda was Easter Brunch. Located inside a cute Art Space and there is a great selection for all dietary needs. The food is fresh and delicious. - Breakfast Buffet is served at The Restaurant Lanters, located on the second floor and there is a great selection with a lot to choose from…simply delicious. - Make sure you spend some time at the spa and wellness center. We enjoyed a couples massage and wanted to do more, and had to choose between more spa pr visit the Ancient Town. - the Ancient Town is a short walk and I highly recommend visiting. Anantara Hoi An Resort is very suitable for a romantic getaway and checks many of my requirements for a great experience: - Sleep: the room is quaint and the bed is soft and comfortable. - Nutrition: the food offerings are fresh and delicious. I am excited to return one day and dine at the Hoi An Riverside, it looks amazing and I didn’t have time during this stay. - Mindfulness: the Spa and Wellness center has many selections to choose from. I would recommend trying one of the baths. - Relationships: Spending time with a loved one here is highly recommended, it is very romantic here. - Nature: the breathtaking scenery and views from the riverside balconies at the entrance to each room. I sent some time reading and napping out front. I highly recommend Anantara Hoi An Resort to anyone interested in a Romantic getaway, even for families since there are many activistes for children. This is a perfect spot for a quiet relaxing getaway.

On 1st May, we celebrated wedding at Anantara Hoi An. 2 month before ceremony we have started contacting hotel team to arrange ceremony, accommodations and dinner party setups. Hotel team sincerely listened our request and offered us various options to meet our requirement. From our arrival until check out, all the traveling member felt very warm and kind hospitality from all the hotel staff. Ceremony arrangement was perfect with very professional management. During ceremony hotel team took very good care of us and all the proceeding was very smooth. Dinner after ceremony was also very delicious and all the member enjoyed very nice and heartwarming service from F&B staff. After ceremony at Hoi An we joined Vietage train travel from Da Nang to Quy Nhon, which is highly recommended to enjoy very luxury and memorable time.

This resort just keeps getting better. It’s my 3rd or 4th stay here over the last 10 years. It’s an older low rise hotel in keeping with Hoi An. The rooms are beautifully maintained, large & comfortable. They’re almost like suites. Lovely pool & bar area right alongside the river. It’s a short stroll to the centre of the old town, either walking along the river or the road. The staff are exceptional. Very well trained and I guess trying just that little bit harder post Covid to welcome guests. We ate at the restaurant here on the first night which overlooks the river. I expected the food to be good but it wasn’t. It was outstanding. We all felt the same opting for Vietnamese which I don’t normally eat. My Vietnamese wife and our Vietnamese friend were full of praise for the food. And of course the service. Miss Ly the manager of the restaurant made sure we were happy. It may be a bit more expensive than other hotels and resorts in Hoi An but you more than get your money’s worth. You get what you pay for plus more.
