This hotel was amazing with fabulous staff, I must mention Ann who took us out and about on here moped in her free time she could not do enough for us..5 stars everyday....Thank you Ann from Neil & Catherine
We stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful stay! The rooms are spacious, clean and modern and very comfortable! Staff were very attentive and accommodating. The scenery is beautiful and a nice retreat away from the hustle and bustle. We will be back next year! Thankyou!
When we travel, we normally do not indulge in the kind of luxury offered by this Ancient House resort, but we benefited from deeply discounted rates and thoroughly enjoyed everything it had to offer. Four our family of four (two adults and two young children), we had a huge room (normally 3 twin beds, converted to king + one twin) with two balconies. Super comfy, fluffy beds! We took advantage of the pool and of the shuttle to both downtown Hoi An and to An Bang beach (and private segment of the beach there). My kids were a bit too big for the playroom but I can see how it would be a great place to chill in the shade with a young child. We had to call the reception for assistance a couple of times, and they were responsive and helpful both times. Very good English was spoken, which was useful as my Vietnamese is very, very poor. There were bikes to borrow, including some kid-sized and another with a baby seat on the back, but we didn't get to enjoy them during our stay. Normally they offer various activities but everything was cancelled due to the coronavirus situation - totally understandable. I do take out a star due to the paucity of vegan or even vegetarian options at breakfast and on the menu generally speaking. When I asked a server about vegetarian options, she said: "The mushroom fried rice." That's it? I insisted and somehow they found tofu to substitute for beef in another dish. We had initially planned to stay at the resort most of the time, but ended up going to town to eat instead. At breakfast, the first morning had a couple of solid options, but the second day every single thing seemed to have animal product added to it (except perhaps the white bread), and fruit was running out. In the end, a manager ensured that a noodle dish was prepared for me, which was OK, but it shouldn't be rocket science to offer some non-meat, non-egg options at breakfast in such a nice hotel - especially one that offers yoga classes. I hope we get to return to Ancient House sometime, and that their food offering will have broadened by then. Thanks!…
we stayed 2 weeks, much appreciating the beautiful garden, lit by lanterns at night, the excellent breakfasts with so much choice, the free shuttle bus taking us into Hoi An old town and to the beach( with towels provided and free sunbeds and parasols at the beach), the smiling and helpful staff, in particular Gana, Hahn, Dung and Trung. We will definitely return.
This was my 5th visit to Hoi An and The Hoi An Ancient House Village is hands down the best hotel I’ve stayed in so far. The rooms are spacious, with beautiful bath tubs and huge comfy beds, and they smell amazing! The location is perfect between the beach and the old town with shuttle buses to get you to and from both. The staff are wonderful, friendly and very willing to help with any query. It was a shame that the infinity pool was closed for us on the Sunday but the sunset pool is still beautiful. Breakfast is wonderful and the hotel grounds themselves are stunning. We will definitely be back and it’s a perfect place to take any guests.
A difficult time for all hotels in the region at the moment, but despite this the team at this hotel know how to provide great customer service. On arrival we were upgraded to a villa that was overlooking rice fields, the room was stunning as was the view. Breakfast was of a high quality, also included in our package was some spa treatments, which I normally do not bother to take, but I am glad i did this time. A really good quality hotel in a quiet part of town easily reached by taxi from the main area at a reasonable cost.
During our tour of Vietnam we stayed here and had the best room, it was amazing overlooking the rice fields. The pool was nice and the food great. It is a little outside Hoi Ann but they supply a free shuttle service. Friendly staff. Highly recommend if your looking for a quiet, peaceful location. There’s a local restaurant opposite that’s also good to visit.
I reluctantly booked here for the spacious rooms compared to staying on the river front in Hoi An mainly so that we had a separate space for our 1 year old to sleep. It was the best decision ever! The grounds are so quiet and peaceful, the pool relaxing, the spa amazing, the food incredible. I dont think we would have enjoyed our trip near as much if we were in the loud and crowded center of Hoi An. The free shuttle service in the hotels modern vans made getting to town or to the beach so easy. Best of all, the entire staff was wonderful. They work very hard to make you feel welcome and I feel like they would do anything to ensure that you are taken care of. The 5 star overall review they have is very well earned.
We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at Hoi An Ancient House Village Resort and Spa. I can highly recommend this hotel as the rooms are large and clean, the pool area nice, excellent breakfast - but most of all the best service we have ever experienced. The hotel manager Anh took us on a bike trip with at no cost in the area and generally made sure that we always had what we needed. Whenever we went on a trip, she would make sure that we got snacks for the trip for our kids. The hotel has a free shuttle bus service - and even though it is a "first come first served" policy - if the shuttle is full, the hotel will make sure we get another shuttle/taxi at no charge. If we one day come back to Hoi An I would choose to stay at this hotel again.
My wife and insisted here for a couple of nights in Feb 2020. What a wonderful retreat! Very relaxing with the staff eager to help and extremely polite. The only problem for us is that we only booked two nights! Lovely clean rooms, beautifully appointed, free regular shuttle service to the town. Most certainly a would recommend!
