This is a wonderful place to stay in Hoi An. You can feel the history in every creaking floor board! The hotel has been beautifully restored. Staying here is truly like stepping back in time. The hotel is in a wonderful location within easy walk of everything Hoi An has to offer and only a short taxi ride from the beach area. It is a sanctuary when the crush of afternoon tourists becomes overwhelming. Just sitting in the open fronted dining area watching the going-ons in the street is wonderful. A great place to stay in a lovely city.
We stopped here for 2 nights over Tet. Paid the extra for the heritage room at the front with a lovely balcony overlooking the street. So the positives. Great location, lovely building, fabulous rooms. The bath was amazing (felt like a cowboy). Breakfast was ok but choice and quality of the food wasn’t great. The “free” evening meal was lovely but a little rushed and would have been nice to have been served hot and after you were seated. The Negatives. Service. This badly lets the place down. Booked a car to drop us off but then had to drag our luggage 300m from the car through busy streets to the hotel in the heat. Would have been nice if they’d told us to get dropped at their sister hotel and a ported would move the bags. Not informed of the increases for Tet. Doors locked at 10:30 but not told. Eventually woke the night porter up who was sleeping in the dining room. Noise! OMG!! If it’s not from the street all night, it’s from inside as the staff move baby elephants around to get ready for breakfast at 6am. Ok if you don’t need much sleep. …
This is a gem. It’s in the middle of the old town, which can get crowded, but it’s an oasis of calm. Old wood house converted to hotel with all modern amenities. Staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Free boat trip and dinner was included in our stay, and both were worthwhile. It’s possible to use pools at sister hotels. The rooms at the front have access to a balcony where you can watch life pass by this incredible little hotel.
This is a very love place to stay. The location is excellent as are the staff. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. There is a graciousness to this place. This is the best of the hotels provided by G Adventures.
Clean , comfortable and an extremely friendly staff! Located in the Ancient city its a quick walk to where ever it is you'd like to get to! The breakfasts were excellent and the atmosphere transports you to another time! Don't miss this place! Also We were lucky enough to stay in the same room Sir Michael Caine stayed in while filming The Quiet American. A real treat!
