I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel. A friend of mine recommended it for my trip in Hoi An. Pros: -Excellent customer service! The staff are so nice and pleasant. They are exactly what you need on a holiday. -Located halfway between the beach and the old town. -Definitely get a massage at their spa. It is one of the best I've had in Vietnam. -Bathtub in our room -Powerful aircon Cons: -The bed could have been softer, but this is pretty typical in Vietnam. - The pool could have been a bit cleaner.

Now that this property is under new management, everything that past reviewer mentioned has changed, We stayed 2 weeks and found that the management and staff went out of their way to make sure our holiday was perfect. The Reception staff were great, even having one take us on a personal tour of the town showing us the markets, restaurants to try out, places to shop, how to brgain, That has never happened to us before and we have travelled widely. Our room had recently been done up and the grounds improved. The weekly Vietnamese BBQ and Dragon dance entertainment was a hit with us. The resort staff all sort to interact with us.

Had friends stay here several weeks ago. Arrived this morning to stay and it has been taken over by a new group (see photo). Beware pricing as now asking $150 USD per night. Don't get taken in as I see they are still advertising. Was an extreme inconvenience, although reception did try to help find alternatives.

We were very disapointed by this hotel from the very beginning. First the room was not clean, there were receipts from other tourists on the floor, and the cleaningcloth was still laying in the shower. We arrived late, so we were adviced to eat dinner in the restaurant at the hotel rather then driving 2 km by taxi to the city. Little did we know that it would take them 1,5 hours to make one fried rice with chicken and one portion of spring rolls. The dissapointments kept on coming the next day when we discovered that the pool and the sunbeds were dirty. The staff never once said good morning or smiled. This was the first and only time we saw a grumpy vietnamese. On the breakfast there were not plates, nor forks or glasses. The whole experience was dissapointing, and we were glad to stay on another hotel the last days of our time in Hoi An. Not worth the money, the nice view can be bought much cheaper :)

Very disappointed: poor service, dirty pool and facility: go there at 9am and asked if early checkin was possible, reception responded that the guests of our room (river front bungalow at about USD100 a night, booked for 3 nights) has not checked out. We had 2 young kids with us including a 2-month old one. I checked the room in question through the window door: it was made up and ready for checking in and no luggage was in the room. So I insisted and receptionist then said that yes room was available but we would have to pay usd10 to check in early, which we paid in the end. So first the receptionist lied and second took advantage of the situation and overcharged us. Nowhere on earth including Vietnam have I seen this. Before that upon arrival, as we had traveled, I wanted to wash my hands and asked for the toilets of the lobby/restaurant, and was taken to a mediocre place that was worn down and had not been cleaned for years. There was no toilet paper or soap on the sink. As I asked some I was just told no, there is none. I insisted twice and was given a soap dispenser taken from the kitchen that was as scary as the rest of toilets, and was dirty as hell... See photos. The resort by the river is actually nice, at least the two riverfront bungalows. The pictures of the swimming pool on the site that enticed us must have been taken on a unique day, because every of the 4 days we were there, the water was dirty, troubled and one could not see the bottom of the pool even where the pool is only 80cm deep. We asked at the reception for the pool to be cleaned and were responded every time that the pool was cleaned every morning and that was the way. At no point, even in the early morning, was the water clean. Another disappointment. And the service was always arrogant and rude, when we would ask for a towel for a kid or asked for shower gel when housekeeping forgot to restock. An go for breakfast early because once items run out on the buffet, they would not restock or delay restocking so the limited supply would be even more reduced. The last day, after the jug of passion fruit juice was empty they just replaced it with artificial flavor orange juice that is undrinkable by any decent standards. The safe in the room did not work. Really a bad experience all in all. I waited a few days after staying there before posting this review, just to have make a calm and balanced assessment as I was furious from check-in to check-out. Would never go back.
