We have been in Hoi An for a couple months now and have stayed at a variety of different places but dechiu is truly a unique place to stay to be away from the hustle and bustle of town and just steps away from the beach! Thoughtfully designed and curated; we enjoyed every detail of the space especially the stories behind many of the antiques seen throughout the hotel. From the essential oil scent that filled our room, the ceramics that are hand made in the north of Vietnam, the fresh and healthy vegetarian food + juices offered in the cafe, the curated books to enjoy and the friendly faces all throughout the cafe. They’ve done a beautiful job evoking all of our senses and made our stay incredibly inspiring and peaceful. Thank you dechiu staff! We hope to be back soon!

Was made very memorable with our stay at dechiu. The hotel decoration is unique and comfortable like the meaning of the name. The staff are also very friendly and has a mindful hospitality approach. We got served as well with a private “food for the soul” meal!

I have been traveling Southeast Asia for over a month and stayed in countless hotels. Dechiu is by far the best, most special place I have ever stayed in! I was at Dechiu for 5 nights and did not want to leave. The space truly makes you feel as if you are home. The staff and owner (TheO) are incredible people and genuinely want to make your experience in Hoi An an unforgettable one. They made me feel like family. TheO also gave us great recommendations for what to do around Hoi An. The location of the hotel is perfect! Just a few steps to a private beach with comfy lounge chairs. The water is warm and the beach is clean. The beach is also great for long walks. Tons of restaurants and resorts along the water. Dechiu also has bikes available to its guests. A staff member (Thao) recommended me to ride to the vegetable village which was amazing! The hotels location is super easy to navigate from and great for exploring new areas of Hoi An. It is about an 8 minute taxi ride to Hoi An Ancient town where there is lots of shopping. The style and design of the hotel is so unique and inspiring! Every space is well thought-out, with great attention to details. I loved the Vietnamese art hanging on the walls, concrete floors and minimalism. The bed was super comfy and the room had a window with a couch below it that was perfect for reading and relaxing. I could stay in this room all day! The food at Gieo cafe is the best I had in Vietnam! I ate here for almost every meal. Every dish is so tasty and well planned, using a great variety of textures and flavors. I will definitely be back someday to stay again. I will miss TheO and the rest of the staff! Thank you for an incredible stay!

This is one of the most special boutique hotels I've stayed in, in all my travels around the world. It is the vision of an inspiring creative and self-taught architect and designer, whose energy can be felt in every inch of every room. Not only was my bed exceptionally comfortable but each room been lovingly and uniquely curated and the entire hotel is filled with art, exquisite fabrics and thoughtful touches. It feels calm, peaceful and full of soul. And then there is the food. I was lucky enough to experience two dinners and one sensational breakfast - Do not miss the opportunity to have the green noodles with shrimp from the hotel's in-house Gieo Cafe. A place where Vietnamese tradition and modern, world-class hospitality really come together. I will miss this place for as long as I live so I really hope to return again one day. P.S. It is located on a quiet stretch of coastline that is only 5km from Hoi An Ancient Town so it has the added bonus of being at the beach and away from mass tourism. I recommend at LEAST 2 nights but 4 or 5 would be ideal to really get the full benefits of experiencing Hoi An through a place like Dechiu Hotel.

Words can’t really describe what it means to stay at Dechiu because Dechiu is all about a feeling a feeling of home a feeling of warmth a feeling of love. Staying in this beautifully designed space really evokes a feeling in you which I have never felt in any other hotel. Theo the owner and designer has really created something special here and something that everyone should experience. The staff don’t feel like staff they feel like an extension of your family, the restaurant doesn’t feel like a restaurant it feels like your kitchen at home. I found myself spending time in my room in silence just appreciating the design and seeing how it all changes in the different light of the day, a truly beautiful hotel and I cannot wait to return someday.
