We stayed for two nights at Jahongir in August and were very happy with our decision! The staff are very friendly and helpful, and it is family-run. The location is very close to the sights and safe to walk at night, but in a real (non-Disneyfied) neighborhood. Our room was very colorfully decorated and we enjoyed the second-floor outdoor common... More

We loved exploring Samarkand from Jahongir and enjoyed breakfasting in the open outdoor setting. The staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area plus the old town location gives you a great glimpse of neighbourhood life away from the tourist attractions. I have already recommended this place to another traveller who enjoyed their stay too and I will... More

Located at 10min walk from The Registan it offers an excellent choice in Samarkand. It is a renovated house with cosy, nicely decorated rooms all around a peaceful courtyard. Staff was very friendly and willing to help you organizing tours, guides and taxis if needed.

Very friendly guesthouse in Samarkand. The rooms are located around a peaceful courtyard. The rooms are clean and comfortable (with aircon!). The tasty breakfast is included. The staff can help you to arrange transport. Located on a short walk to the Registan and all the other must-see's in Samarkand. There is also a good supermarket in the neighborhood.

One of my favourite places to stay in Uzbekistan. Excellent location and friendly staff always helpful to show me where to find shared taxis, the best bazaars and dinner. You can get tea anytime, something that I found rare there.

It's not a B&B but an hotel. It is not a familial running business but a company and they are not here not give you good advices about the city or the country, they are here to sell you their train ticket, excursion ... At a very high price! The bedrooms are so tiny that you are not able to... More

This is a nice little hotel, grouped around two courtyards. It is in a residential neighborhood, but only a couple of blocks away from the Registan. You pass children playing, people shopping in tiny stores, and little restaurants along your way to the main drag outside the Registan. Small but comfortable room, good breakfasts.

I stayed here by accident, as the 3-star hotel I had booked for my group was suddenly 'unavailable'. My first impression was encouraging: this is a family-run B&B, where the staff were extremely helpful and spoke good English. Housed in a 100-year old building, it offers charming rooms mostly decorated with local fabrics. The bathrooms are functional, although some of... More
