We didn't have problems with staff. Rooms are small, our bathroom had very little counter space d/t where the door was, others in our area was better. We were in the old section, they have nicer rooms I. The front section. Room numbers were strange and we had to walk around to find our room. Nice indoor and outdoor pool....

A couple good things about the place: The location (a stone's throw from the historical part of town) and the pool (pretty average, but it's still there). That said, the rooms were run down. The furniture was old, the bathroom was dated, the toiletries were cheap, and the toilet was missing a cover on its tank. All in all, it's...

Reception staff always on bad temper. You need to be very specific at the moment of your reservation. Ask for no-smoke, no-carpet, new-building room. If you didn't do that, they will put you in a room you can barely breathe.

This hotel was very good in many ways, bright, clean and well taken care. Breakfast was good, but not outstanding. The biggest issue was our room was supposedly a superior room, but was tiny with the bed taking up most of the space. There is plenty of storage space, drawers, desk space, and the bathroom is quite big. Not much...

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, more than enough to know the little but charming city. We stayed in the modern part of the hotel, the room was nice and clean, the bed was comfortable, with a nice view from the window and a big tv (-great for the rainy nights we had). The staff was SUPER kind....

The Hotel Italiano is perfectly located three blocks from the Buquebus Terminal, two blocks from the Old Town, and also two blocks from the main street of Colonia. At night the street is a bit dark but we didn´t feel unsafe at all. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment and all the better for it. Everything is freshly painted in bright...

My mother and I stayed there last year for New Year´s(2012-2013) and after returning to Colonia a few days ago a year later (Dec 2013) but stayed at another hotel I realised I hadn´t reviewed this charming bright, clean hotel so well located! I agree with the reviews regarding the small dark rooms, a bit of a let down considering...
