Detailed Reviews
These reviews are machine translated from their original language. Show machine translations?
- Great location! On the ground floor of the building there is a good Carrefour store, a pharmacy and an exchange office. A two-minute walk away is a large two-story LuLu. Directly opposite the hotel there is a picturesque bay with a promenade and a park, a nice place to stroll before bed. Several good cafes along the canal.
- There are no complaints about the staff - they responded to all requests instantly and very politely.
- Breakfast in a large room overlooking the bay. The food is quite varied and tasty - we were completely satisfied. Someone in their review already complained that there was no coffee machine (which broke in 2019 and was never replaced), but there was always brewed coffee. The cook in the hall prepares pancakes and any kind of omelet/fried eggs upon request; this is included in the price of breakfast.
- We took a two-room apartment with one bedroom and a living room. Refrigerator, washing machine, kitchenette with gas stove and set of dishes, dining table, sofa, TV with several Russian-language channels (both in the living room and in the bedroom).
- Cleaning of the room is beyond praise. Although the fresh towels were washed impeccably, they could use some updating - the edges are slightly frayed.
- It’s a ten-minute drive to the wonderful Al Mamzar beach (both paid and free). If you don’t rent a car (we did), you will need to take a taxi to the beach, since there is no bus from the hotel. I can’t say how much it costs. If you drive your own car, then entry into the park is 30 Dhs per car and you can drive straight to the beach.
- Free parking a hundred meters from the hotel. Very convenient, especially in this area. The automatic barrier opens using a card from the room.
A few notes:
- We stayed here for the first time in 2022. The hotel parking lot was not just dirty then, but like it was a garbage dump. There was trash everywhere, not only in the parking lot, but also along the curbs on the roadway. We never saw anyone remove it. The second time in 2023 nothing has changed :-)
- There was no clothes dryer in the room. When asked to bring them, they honestly answered that they were no longer available. We had to buy it ourselves (35 Dhs) in a nearby store and leave it as a gift to the hotel.
P.S.
If you are considering a trip to the Emirates for a holiday, I would recommend staying in Sharjah. There is not such a crowd here as in Dubai and the roads are freer.
We planned to choose this hotel for our next trip in the spring of 2024, but “something went wrong” :-) Since the end of 2023, booking prices for rooms in this hotel have more than doubled, but the experiment (whose, I wonder?) , apparently, failed. And right now (at the beginning of March) prices have returned to their previous level, but they ask for payment in advance.

It's a good hotel, good room service, I had breakfast for one day during my 6 nights stay, I didn't like it very much, but I can say that it's a good breakfast. Rooms have plenty of space, it's most likely a Studio, with a small kitchen and a bathroom. Staff are kind, but they took long time for complting check in. Hotel location is surrounded by many restaurants and stores. It's close to Khaled lake corniche and Majaz park, they are nice place for walking especially at night. Hotel is not expensive, I think it's cheaper than other 4 stars hotels.

I have been staying in this hotel for reasons related to work for one entire week.
Elevators works with the key room card (when going up to rooms), but most of the times the digital scanner does not work properly and being called in another floor in the meantime was frustrating.... elevators are also so busy all the time.
Laundry is surprisingly slow, most of the times you have to call the reception to get your stuff, first call-first get.
The restaurant (buffet only) was far from being an attractive deal either, especially for an European, and, basically, you will find the same stuff at every breakfast and every meal.
My room was spacious and the bed very comfortable, but furniture in general looked old and used.
Personnel is trying to do their best, but it seems their work is not properly organized. Some problems kept repeating identical every day.... possible that the management can't do better than this?
The hotel entrance is located inside a shopping mall, so you have everything you may need just one step away. Walks on the Corniche are also another good option to spend time.

Terrible hotel ! Bad internet service it’s not even working and they are not allowing delivery driver to deliver food or shipment to your room! You have to come from 12th floor to ground floor! Once I was taking a shower and they called me saying that your shipment is here and you have to come down to take it ! I told them that I am in the shower right now I can’t come down but still they’re saying it’s not allowed . I talked to the manager who wasn’t friendly at all ! And above all he was lying to me.! The internet isn’t working at all I talked to them and try every single day but no response from their side . The AC was too cold Try to set it at 23 /24 degrees and you will wake up in freezing room and you will see the temperature is 19 degrees.. Avoid this hotel

I have stayed here on numerous occasions and as a place to sleep it is not bad. The rooms are comfortable and clean.
However, this visit the room was definitely not up to standard. The card that goes into the electric switch to turn the power on was not enough and the maintenance team came and forced paper into it to make it work.
The kettle was dirty and looked like it was a good few years old, There were no towels in the room and when I rang and asked for more I was given the impression that I shouldn't be asking for any towels. Check-in was very slow.

Co located in a shopping and office building there is plenty on hand to assist a stay. The Carrefour Market on the ground floor opposite the hotel lobby is extremely handy. Unfortunately, it does add to the time spent in lifts as they traverse the shopping and office levels. The hotel is not flash and is a little tired in decor, but the staff are pleasant and helpful even though they may be short of numbers for the busy times. Breakfast in the Tulip Restaurant is a good spread with many varieties of food available including a live omelette station. It’s also a pleasant view over the lagoon. The 11th floor rooms are a good size but the view can be a little drab when faced with the empty office block. The decor tiredness reveals itself in the lingering smoke smell even though the floor is a designated non-smoking zone. As to overall value, I can’t really give any pointers as I didn’t pick up the tab for my seven night stay.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the experience I am having during my recent stay at this hotel.
While there are aspects of the hotel that are satisfactory, I must share a concerning issue that is significantly impacting my stay. The policy of allowing guests to cook all types of foods in their rooms has resulted in a highly unpleasant and disgusting odor permeating the floor corridors. The smell is so overwhelming that we cannot even turn on the central air conditioner in our room during the scorching heat, as the unpleasant odor spread through the system, making our room unbearable.
We’ve made several complaints to the reception staff about the foul smell and its impact on our comfort, but regrettably, no action has been taken to address the issue. The lack of response and attention to our concerns is making our experience even more frustrating and disappointing.
I believe that a hotel should prioritize the comfort and well-being of its guests, and it is disheartening to see that such a significant concern is not appropriately handled.
As a result of this unpleasant experience, I must honestly say that I wouldn't recommend or rate this hotel positively at this time. We’ve been very regular guests at this hotel over many years, this time we are quite disappointed with the service.

A/C thermostat not working (room change same problem) was too cold or too warm after technician "fixed" it.
Towels were old and thin.
No business center (had to print travel document, at least they printed it for me but had to email it to them. So if you have any office related work this is not the place).
Overall just OK, but not for the price.

I am still here and when I checked in, the receptionist not only ignored me but couldn,t even look in my direction. She looked utterly miserable and made me question my stay at that moment.
The service, in general, is absolutely shocking, they really don,t get the term customer service! Every night since I,ve been here, an alarm of some sort goes off again and again, including in the early hours. When my laundry was put in and marked as urgent I did not receive it back because unbeknown to me I didn,t sign the bottom of the hugely complicated laundry list, hence why they didn,t return it to me! I only found this out after the laundry worker returned it to my room and told me. Prior to arriving here, I was accomodated in 3 different Dubai hotels where the staff couldn,t do enough to make you feel welcome but since arriving here I have nothing positive to report about this hotel. There is an almost constant stentch of strong spices in the corridor and for 2 days I had a shopping trolley parked outside my room door! My company are paying for me to stay here, but given the choice, I definitely would not pay my own hard-earned cash to stay here. This place needs either new management, new staff or both, who understand the customer comes first. SO SO DISAPPOINTING!!
