The Copthorne Hotel Sharjah elicits a diverse range of opinions from its guests. While many appreciate its convenient location and the cleanliness of its facilities, some have expressed concerns over the rooms, describing them as spacious yet outdated and sometimes lacking in maintenance. The atmosphere is perceived by guests to fluctuate between elegance and neglect. Views on the service vary, with reports of both commendable staff and frustrating inefficiencies. Amenities like the pool are a hit, though mixed feelings about overall value persist among travelers.

We went with friends and children at the beginning of April.
The hotel was chosen according to the main criteria:
1. Convenient location so you can walk everywhere
2. Availability of a swimming pool
3. Walking distance to the sea
4. Availability of a cafe nearby

The hotel itself is perfectly located! On the beautiful waterfront of the bay!
When checking in, they asked for 3 rooms next to each other, so they provided them)
The view from the window, like many others, is of the neighboring building, but this did not upset us)
Cleaning every day. Be careful: by the bedside table, where all the light switches are located, there are a couple more keys, when pressed, the “do not disturb” mode is activated! In this case, no one will be able to get into your room) we were convinced of this when one day we did not find the cleaning service)))

Near an amusement park, market, cafe, beautiful fountains in the evening!

Breakfast is normal: the children and I had something to eat. Dinner was told to us either 130 or 140 AED, for children -50%, we didn’t buy it.

The beach is good, clean water. We took a transfer from the hotel, sometimes walked, about 25 minutes.

The time was spent mainly on excursions: everyone was taken on side tours. Great service!

Have a nice holiday everyone!

Room : The room is specious, which impressed me . Clean and confertable .
The toilet is clean with good pressure of water in the shower .
Car parking and WiFi are available.
The prior we have paid is very reasonable for such a room . I would say cheap.
I have put 4 stars for two reasons:
1. There are no electricity plugs for personal use as laptops or phone chargers . We found maybe a free one next to the desk !!
2. A problem I had with my booking when I checked in . I didn't feel the desk agent was helpful until a second one came and sorted it out it took two hours . That was disappointment
I still recommend this hotel

Relaxed at this hotel in February 2025. Chic location, close to the lagoon, to the beach 20 minutes walk. Transfers were only made once, on the day of departure.
Room 720, overlooking the lagoon, large, everything you need is available. Water, tea, coffee, sugar were updated daily. Breakfast is a separate song. Everything tastes good, a lot, if you run out of something, the waiters bring it. There's music in the restaurant. Everything is styled east, Arabic style.
The reception is staffed by sympathetic staff. They offered you a room to choose from upon arrival. When we checked out, we extended the room for a couple of hours, no extra charge. Tours were taken at the Agency*Sail*, on the first floor of the hotel, near the reception. Love, nice, sociable, sympathetic woman. Tells you everything, helps you navigate, advises you on the best option. They took her two tours. Very pleased, enjoyed the views of Dubai and swimming off the coast of Oman, in the Indian Ocean. Everything is organized very clearly, there were no delays. The announced programme was fully implemented. Happy 100%.the weather was warm, but the wind and waves at sea prevented swimming, walked along the beach, jumped in shallow water. Rest was good!!! 🏝️

The wifis is absolutely horrendous, breakfast is mid very mid below mid, not much variety and ain’t all that ibr the dont even have a toast machine and the coffee tastes like plastic. They don’t even fill ur fridge and u don’t get slippers or robes ajd they don’t clean ur bedsheets until it’s VERDYYY DIRTY. They won’t chnage it if it’s a few small stains. The lighting is terrible and there is no cold water in the taps. So u shower in hot water and wash ur face in hot water in a hot country. The doors u have to literally shove ur bedroom door to open it and that resukts in ur finger getting caught sometimes when twisting the handle that is dangerously close to the frame - talkinf from experince. None of our lamps works and neither does the bathroom mirror light. Emen (the worker we first approached before checking in) seemed attitudey and rude. Idk if it was her accent or just her as a person. Fhe telephone in the room doesn’t come with a phone book so if u wanted room service idk how ur getting it. The TV remote also has dead batteries in it. If u complain about the WiFi they say they only give limited speed to guests which doesn’t make sense cuz ur paying. And I’d u want an upgrade in WiFi it costs 200£ for five days; the lowest cost is 40£ for one day. They don’t stock up the coffee great so we won’t bringing any extra sachets with us from here. All in all, it’s a downgrade form wat it was before, could be due to new management or the fact that’s it’s been a while. We will give u a review on Sheraton wen we go in sha Allah. Hopefullt that is better and lives up to the stars that it has been awarded

We do not recommend this hotel for those who are relaxing: the hotel is clearly not designed for this because the rooms are damp, dark, overlooking the neighboring apartment buildings, there are no views of the lagoon - for this you have to pay a horse price. This is a business hotel, i.e. for those who are on business, at conferences and do not plan to dry their swimsuits after bathing, to dry the swimsuit-you need to make an effort, because the balcony is not available, in the room is always damp, barely dried with a hairdryer, to dry the swimsuit, swimsuit, underwear in 2 days. The story is the same with the meals: all the breakfast buffets, monotonous, no innovations, cheddar cheese is always a problem, it was instantly taken apart and by our arrival it was no longer there or added. Whoever has half-board meals-hold on, for lunch or dinner there will be a buffet only if a lot of people go, otherwise you will eat on a poor menu. Hotel-iron three, four doesn't smell at all, doesn't cost its money, urgently needs repairs everywhere: in all courtyards locks breathe frankincense, broken safes, rusted bathroom taps.... Changing rooms didn't help us improve the hotel's environment. A special thank you to the polite waitress Jacqueline, who was always worried about our impression of the food and a big thank you to Asnaa's girl at reception, also helped us solve problems unlike the other silly receptionists who knew we were deaf and brazen on the phone to the room. Not a single Russian-speaking staff member at the reception was seen by all English-speakers at all times, which confirms once again that Russian tourists have nothing to do here. We're not coming back here again-- a terrible experience of the hotel itself, like an old galosha.

We stopped in Sharjah for a night to explore its beauty and chose this hotel for our stay. The exterior and main floor seemed appealing, including a small coffee shop (Tim Hortons). However, our experience was disappointing. The room had a strong sweat odor from the pillows and sofa pillows, which required airing out for 2 hours and spraying. The TV remote was damaged, and there were stains on the carpet. The room didn't match the pictures online. The bathroom and air conditioner had water leaking from the ceiling, trash cans are broken won’t open.
The bed did not feel as comfortable as the previous hotels i was in and the pillows were so soft like it was cheap and you get one small pillow per bed.

The pool, although on the rooftop, was small and enclosed by walls, offering no scenic view. The sauna/spa area was tiny, with space for only one person, and it was out of service during our visit. There was no gym available. The hotel's saving grace was its central location along the Corniche, providing a beautiful walk with plenty of activities and sights. The hotel's affordability might explain its shortcomings. Personally, I wouldn't recommend it or return, but if you're willing to take a chance due to the low price, feel free to do so.

We've really liked our stay at Copthorne Hotel Sharjah, everything was perfect: service, food, room, location. Especially want to thank whole the staff and working team (at the restaurant, reception, cleaning service, swimming pool, etc), they all were so polite, understanding and helpful. Few times we were late for the dinner, but still they accepted us very well and told not to worry and eat calmly. The food was amazing and in abundance. Also free Christmas dinner was arranged and our kid received a gift, while as I heard, in other hotels guests were asked to pay extra for the dinner. Very caring attitude of the staff to kids. We felt like at home and miss our stay there a lot. Shared our experience with relatives and they immediately liked the hotel and location, decided to choose this hotel next time too. And we will surely return to this hotel again! Want to thank whole the staff and wishing success in their hard work!

1. The location of the hotel is very good, there is a wonderful embankment along which you can walk and walk near the well-kept public gardens, cultural and religious sites.
2. The view from the restaurant is right on the embankment - the view is super!
3. The service at the hotel is very good, the reception and restaurant staff are responsive, kind and always ready to help. There are Russian-speaking staff, but even in their absence there is a tablet translator at the reception.
4. The rooms are clean, cleaned daily, water, tea, coffee and toiletries - everything was as needed and there was no shortage. We had a view of the neighboring skyscraper (very close) and there was little natural light in the room (we were in January, in the season it might be even better, it won’t be hot). If you have a view of the embankment, you will have the sun in the morning, keep this in mind.
5. Nutrition. Breakfast - buffet (sufficient, varied). Lunch or dinner a la carte (large portions). Everything is delicious. the desserts are fancy, aesthetic and delicious.

I don't know from where to start, I'll try to list some of the things:
- it's very old.
- it feels like a haunted hotel, it's the lighting is dim everywhere and you rarely see staff or anybody else around.
- no buffet at the restaurant (even the restaurant doesn't have staff at dinner time).
- ac is so weak and slow and reaches peak performance in the end of your sleep.
- stains on the carpet and towels.
- almost everything is old and overused.
- tv turned on in the middle of the night for the welcome message having the name of a different guest and the worst part couldn't turn off the tv.
- room service is a bit slow.

Overall I believe it's not up to standards.

The only reason I gave 2 stars is due to room size and location.
