Citymax Hotel Sharjah garners praise for its professional staff and efficient service, which enhance the guest experience. Its prime location, a short walk from City Centre Sharjah, is a highlight for many visitors. The hotel's commitment to cleanliness is evident in its well-maintained rooms and spotless bathrooms, earning commendations from guests.
While the rooms receive positive remarks for their tidiness, a few guests have noted issues with noise and room preferences. Although the amenities are appreciated for their hygiene, comments suggest that improvements could be made in terms of room size and the provision of towels. Overall, the hotel is esteemed for offering good value, though some travelers feel that certain aspects, like the breakfast offering, could be enhanced.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, the staff is always helpful. The room is clean, every day a couple of bottles of water, tea and coffee bags, breakfast not spicy. Everyone from all hotels is brought to one beach, so for the beach it doesn’t matter which hotel it is. But an evening walk to the bay is a 15-20 minute walk. Taxi to the beach is less than 20 dirhams. Taxi to Dubai 50-70 dirhams to the union metro station, cheaper during the day. A hundred meters away there is a very inexpensive nesto supermarket, you can buy ready-made food, the sellers let you try it. But everyone must understand that the hotel is far from tourist places, and therefore cheaper, that is, add additional expenses for a taxi, public transport is problematic, or take another hotel. Free Wi-Fi.

We were caught in the middle of the heavy rain in Sharjah and was stranded in Abu Shagara area. My friend and I decided to wade through the flood to reach Citymax Sharjah. Upon arrival, there was no vacant room available as everyone was extending their stay due to the same predicament. I was about to lose hope in getting a room but thankfully upon learning that we were waiting at the lobby for almost 7 hours, the front desk staff, Ms. Simple, found a way to give us an available room.
Our 3 night stay was so comfortable. There was a shortage of towels due to logistical problem brought by the flood but the housekeeping made the extra effort to provide for us on the 3rd day. The food was also good and the restaurant manager always made sure that we are taken care of despite them being busy. I ate Nasi Goreng for 3 days straight!!
There was also one housekeeping staff, Faisal, who regularly cleans our room. He always has a sweet smile and is very much polite. When we checked out of the room, we forgot to take my wallet from the safe deposit box. It was Faisal who handed over my wallet to the manager and I have never been so thankful. I wish there are more people like you.
Thank you Citymax Sharjah team. Being caught in the flood became a staycation for us. It didn't feel so hard because everyone was warm and caring. More power to your team and special thanks again to Ms. Smile and Mr. Faisal.

We were in this hotel during the flood. April 9-19, 2024.
As for me, the hotel is tired and falls short of the declared 3*.
In general, it is quite clean, decent, but no more, daily cleaning, the room has tea, coffee, sugar and a kettle.
There are also bath amenities - shower gel, liquid hand soap and shampoo.
There is a transfer to Al Khan beach at 9 am there, at 1 pm back.
Taxi to the beach from the hotel is 17-20 dirhams one way.
Sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach are paid (umbrella 30 dirhams).
In terms of food - I can’t say it’s a lot, but it’s quite normal, there is something to eat, it’s tasty, but everything is quite spicy.
From fruits - watermelons every day. For vegetables - tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs and a couple of salads.
Special thanks to Ostrovok, the hotel was booked from April 9, and we arrived and checked into the hotel on April 10 at 5 am due to a late flight, Ostrovok notified the hotel.
We also ordered a transfer to the hotel through Ostrovok, everything was on time, accurately in a good, large and clean car. The driver met me with a sign.
_____________________________________________________
Now about the sad stuff. We got there during the flooding, it was not possible to get to Sharjah (taxi and hitchhiking were canceled), we rented another hotel in Dubai, and asked Citymax to deliver our things to Dubai on the 3rd day after the flooding (there weren’t a lot of things, we arrived only with hand luggage ), of course for extra. Pay.
To which we received an answer from the hotel, either you come and check out yourself and pick up your things, or the maid will throw out/take out your things, we will not deliver anything.
With grief in half, we reached the hotel by fording and hitchhiking in 5 hours.
It is important to note that there was not so much water anymore, and the hotel could have brought things in a tall car without any problems.
We also tried to book a transfer to the airport at the hotel, but again we received a complete refusal, and ended up wading again and on crossroads.
In general, you can go to the hotel, the ratio is: price-quality, but keep in mind that in case of any problems, you will have to figure it out yourself, it is impossible to get help from the hotel, the hotel does not make concessions, does not try to solve any problems and even think them through at a great cost payment, in this hotel you are on your own.

The hotel didn't like it at all. You can go, but if you don't want the beach and you sleep like a dead man. Well, here's to very cheap.
Two roads by the windows. One of which is on the third floor. The noise from the road is terrible. If you're inhabiting the uppermost floors... nothing yet, but you can't open the window for sure. If the windows are facing the opposite side, there's a mosque and it's also very fun at five in the morning. Numbers for three. A towel is given one per person (wipe their face or want a butt). Breakfasts are normal, you can't go hungry.
The bus to the beach is once a day. People are many and not everyone fits in (sitting on the floor and wherever you have to). ON SUNDAY THE BUS IS NOT!!! Sunday to the beach by taxi or on foot 6 km. Only picks up one flight, too, and very uncomfortable. They didn't let me in for days, there was a storm. The beach is like Sochi in Soviet times, all packed with people.
There are shops nearby (where there is cooking and you can buy hot food and eat inexpensively). Alcohol is not sold there at all (for those interested). Take a walk
in the evening there's nowhere but along a road with crazy traffic. It's a long way to the park.
We didn't like the hotel at all.
You can only go if you haven't seen anything better in your life and then only for very little.

Everything's OK. There is Wifi, I watched TV series in the evenings. Cleaning, constantly new bottles of water, tea, coffee, sugar and milk powder in the room, trash taken out every day, towels changed and beds made every day, Breakfast too, a lot of everything. And there is a shuttle to the bay and back. But one thing upset me: in the room there is a door to the next room, naturally locked, but through this door you can hear everything, as if it were nearby. Someone lived there and their hairdryer constantly woke them up early in the morning. And by the end of my vacation, these guests were getting ready at 3 a.m., apparently leaving, and thereby not allowing me to get enough sleep. Sorry, the hotel is cool, but I’ll never set foot there again) Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo.

During the booking process, booking.com asked me to choose and customize my room. I specifically customized a Twin room into a Double bed room.
However, upon arrival, the employee at the reception, Sajjad, insisted that I had selected a Twin bed, despite me showing him the email confirmation from the hotel verifying my customization to a Double bed.
Additionally, Sajjad asked multiple times whether I preferred a smoking or non-smoking room. I clearly stated 3-5 times that I only wanted non-smoking room. Despite this, he chose to ignore my request. he assured me he would provide a non-smoking room but ultimately gave me a smoking room.
As a result of staying in the smoking room, I experienced a severe headache after one night. Although I had booked the hotel for an additional night, I was forced to leave due to the unbearable smell of smoke.

I didn’t like the hotel, the room was small, everything was old, there was mold in the bathroom, the window didn’t close all the way so it was blowing and it was very noisy. The window feels like it hasn't been washed since it was built. On the website and booking it is written that there is a transfer to the Dubai Mall, but this is all a lie. Very far from the center, you can get there either by taxi for 200AED or by bus with a thousand transfers.

The location near to the center of Sharjah is excellent. All the convenience of home is readily available. The hotel restaurant served tasty and delicious meals including vegetarian choices at a reasonable price. Food options budget friendly. The housekeeping staff was very good. Staff member Mehedi , was pleasant and quickly addressed my concerns. Parking can be a challenge. Overall good hotel experience.

The hotel is 14 km away from the airport.and yes they can check in at anytime but they have to check out before 12 pm the day they are meant to leave. Now how much a taxi might take is something I won't know because I didn't use a taxi. Hope they have a safe flight .
