Good hotel for staying with family and couple. There is a transfer to the beach at 9.30 and also to deiya sity center 3.30 o'clock. Rooms are clean, the personal and manager is always ready to help. They give very tasty porridge and fruit salad in breakfast.

Staffs were good, the hotel is very clean and quiet, very homey. I came in December for a business meeting. There was a confusion about my booking initially but staffs sorted the issue out. They also called my mobile multiple times just to ensure that I know the status of my booking and that everything was sorted accordingly.

We have been a victim of this unscrupulous hotel. They refuse to return our money when we checked out early. They have no hot water, no internet connection. To top it all, the management refuse to talk to us and the General Manager himself hung up the phone. The level of unprofessionalism is unbelievable.

Had a terrible terrible experience with this hotel. Organised my baby's first birthday party here. When we reached the hotel half an hour before the guests were due, absolutely nothing had been done... And nothing means NOTHING! The hall had not been cleaned, had not been set up, no tables nothing.. All the clutter from the previous party were lying around. Seems they had a mix up with the time. And the worst part was no one was ready to help us.. the guy at the reception just kept repeating that it was not his job. The waiters would not even give my guests a glass of water saying they didnt have orders! In the end a couple of helpful staff helped us out and we were able to give the guests food around 2 hrs late... All in all a terrible experience and they didnt even knock anything off the bill!! Never again!

The bath mat in the bathroom looked more like a door mat - it was rubber and completely covered in mud! Bath had a rim of dirt around it and some hair in it for added effect. Some of the lights were not working, cables were sticking out of plug sockets, there were European plug appliances plugged into British type sockets! H&s hazard or what? Wi fi was 10 dirham per hour- weak signal and I got kicked off after 20 mins. It looks pretty in the lobby area but the upstairs doesn't match it. I've stayed in 3 star hotels in Africa and they were much better than this 4 star.

The place reminds me of a horror movie. It was unfortunate my sister had their convention here and she ended up booking us here so we can stay with her before and after the event.
The receptionist doesn't smile. Our IDs were kept in spite of offering to give credit cards to guarantee. (Is this even legal)
We were given smoking rooms and were replied that they couldn't control guests who violates their smoking policy. (Excuses before solutions) for a 4-star hotel, they do not provide bottled water, slippers and bathrobes.
Their duvet is a joke, they improvused it with layered bedsheet with a blanket.
Their tub has molds.
Their breakfast is mediocre. They won't refill the coffee pot unless you ask 3 times.
Their TV channels are messed up with their listing.
This place is a Sharjah version of Fawlty Towers.
Advantage of this place are the bowling center and their event halls.

I don't even know where to begin! We booked 2 nights at the hotel as we had our event in their ballroom. First off the bat, they couldn't find our booking! We told the guy in Reception the name the room is book for and he kept handing us a piece of paper saying we're already checked-in. Obviously we're not and we don't even know the guy he's saying is checked-in, he's just assuming the guy checked-in is a part of our group because he's Filipino. Then when Reception FINALLY realized his mistake, he gave us a room and bam! the smell of smoke surrounds you immediately as he gave us a Smoking Room. We asked for a different room and we were told there's none available. Fine, so we had to sleep with windows open because it's suffocating to smell the smoke when we're none smokers.

Nightmare doesn't end there, the fridge wasn't working at all, there were no complimentary water, the TV channels are all in Arabic AND there was only one socket in the room so we have to bring in our own extension cord as they don't have any available when we requested for one!

The doorman and security were rude too. As we had our event there, we had our team bringing in items to the ballroom. One member of our team asked for their help to open the door as he's using his 2 hands to carry something heavy and fragile. The doorman did open the door, but let it slam when our guy barely cleared the doorway. When we asked him why he didn't open it all the way and let him pass clearly, the doorman argued that he's been holding the door open for 200 guests since morning! What kind of argument is that? The security guy was also raising his voice at us and only when we demanded to speak to a manager did they halfheartedly "apologized" for the "misunderstanding".

The Ewan Hotel might have deserved their 4 star rating back in the day, but it certainly doesn't apply anymore now. Service sucks and their facilities are outdated.
