Nestled in a scenic, tranquil location, Rixos Al Mairid Ras Al Khaimah is often lauded for its beautiful beachfront and proximity to shopping areas, offering a serene setting for relaxation. While guests appreciate the clean, spacious rooms, there is feedback suggesting the need for updates and repairs.
The resort's amenities, including multiple pools and dining options, generally receive positive remarks, though service inconsistencies have been noted. The charming atmosphere adds to the romantic vibe, yet some guests find value concerns due to pricing and all-inclusive terms.

Hotel's Favorite
Stayed 7 nights in July 2024 and had a brilliant stay. I thought I was booking the Hilton Beach Resort but when I arrived was told that Rixos had recently taken over but there was no issues with my booking.
The service from every single member of staff I encountered was impeccable, which is quite rare to find at hotels. However, here everyone I encountered was happy and smiling and always greeted me and my family.
I booked all inclusive and had most of our meals at The Kitchen which was a buffet style restaurant. The staff were all amazing and kept asking if we needed anything else. Mr Farukh went out of his way to ensure a high level of service was provided by himself and all of the staff and nothing seemed too much trouble for them.
My children used the kids club and the staff there were great too. Unlike other places, the staff actually did proper activities with my children who really enjoyed it.
The pools were good although the childrens pool only had one slide, it was okay for us. There were plenty of lifeguards at the pools and the beach so we felt safe at all times.
The room was comfortable and spacious with 2 x double beds and a restocked mini-bar included. Housekeeping was excellent.
This was the best stay we have had in a long time and this was down to the great facilities and staff who really went out of their way to provide an exemplary level of service. Will definitely return here when in Ras.

After having a very trying last few months of 2019, we decided to treat ourselves and our daughter to a few relaxing days at the Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort and Spa.
We stayed for four days and arrived at check in, frazzled and stressed on a Monday morning. The receptionist who checked us in immediately made us feel at home by telling us that we were now going to just be able to relax and enjoy our stay, as he and the hotel were going to make sure we had no problems or issues that would stop us having a great time. Not only was our room ready, but we also given a refreshing glass of hisbiscus juice, which was most appreciated.
We stayed on an all inclusive basis and opted for a beachside villa. In practce these are a two storey block of villas and you can choose upstairs or downstairs rooms. We chose downstairs and we were pretty much just a few steps from our terrace to the beautiful white sandy beach.
The room was very well appointed and the double washbasins were particularly useful for three people trying to get ready simultaneously. The illuminated make up mirror was also a nice touch, as were the bath and separate shower.
As we had booked a beachfront villa we were able to take breakfast in the quieter sea view restaurant at the other end of the beach, There were ample options for breakfast and one morning, when my daughter requested mint tea, the staff made a special effort of bringing her tea with fresh mint leaves. A lovely touch.
There was plenty of choice of food in the main restaurant for lunch and dinner. Drinks on the AI plan were very good quality. We took advantage of the lovely weather to be decadent and eat all our meals outdoors, as it would be impossible to do this in the UK in January. We were usually served by the splendid Faruk in the restaurant and he would kindly have a table waiting for us at lunch and dinner with our favourite drinks on it.
A special mention also to the excellent Mouhamed Yosseff at the beach bar, who was always friendly, welcoming and attentive and mixed a very nice Rum Punch.
We had a lovely break and although we've been to the UAE a number of times, the Hilton has actually been our favourite hotel in which we stayed.
I would recommend it highly, even though we stayed for just a few days, we felt like valued guests and left feeling thoroughly relaxed and unfrazzled.

A beautiful hotel that’s intimate enough to enjoy what it offers ... beautiful ornamental pools , adult only pools and clean Sandy private beach. The hotel offers good choice of restaurants (Lebanese, Italian and Brazilian) the All inclusive is of high standard and offers excellent variety of breakfast / lunch and themed evening dinners including Indian food which for us was very welcomed plus vegetarian options. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful .. going out of their way to accommodate one. Bedrooms are well catered with a minibar .... ample bottled water etc .. the rooms have good quality beds comfortable nights sleep. The bars stock reasonable branded spirits and soft drinks for ‘blue band’ all inc customers ..
Negatives .. evening entertainment around time we went is non existent accept a grand piano recital every evening that played a repetitive repertoire of tunes albeit very well.. the hotel should offer its patrons some variety of evening entertainment as RAK outside the hotel offers little in its immediate neighbourhood.
Also the XO bar is not inviting if your a non smoker as it reeks of stale cigarettes fumes ..
TV channels limited.. would be great if could offer more English language based channels ..
Non All inclusive items such as those listed on menus eg patisseries are expensive and minibar contents expensive.. why not half the prices and get volume based sales that would generate a greater sales for hotel .... ?

The resort is set in a beautiful location along a sandy beach which is quite shallow and safe for kids. The first room we had had a leak over the sinks in the bathroom and a mold patch on the ceiling, the hotel promptly moved us. The second room had a bio film around the base of the shower and after pointing this out to the housekeeping supervisor it was cleaned and gleaming.
The all-inclusive wasn't explained very well and whilst the food at the buffet was basic and adequate the food at the Ala cart restaurants is excellent. Drink's were well made and service was excellent especially from Aye and Mr Seejith in the buffet restaurant and Inas at the Peruvian restaurant. Some of the pool loungers need refurbishing as does some of the tiling around the pool. The resort is generally very good with all the staff trying hard to make your stay a good one.
The spa massage was great but the men's shower only had cold water and no after massage tea or drink??
Still overall a good hotel with some minor improvements that would go a long way to making it great.
There are several mosques near buy so the call to prayer can be heard but it want too loud

Got relocated here from the Hilton Garden Inn due to covid. They tried to charge more than the already booked price on Booking.com. Garden Inn offered dinner for 90AED and lunch for 80AED, had to argue to get same price at their buffet. Glad we weren’t paying the full 150AED each for the buffet as it was very poor. Breakfast was ok but none of the food was hot, all barely warm.
Room was nice, comfortable and spacious.
Adult only pool was good and was pleased to see that the lifeguards and security made any children leave. There were plenty of pools that kids can use.
Would definitely not pay the prices to stay here and all restaurants were very expensive.
Apart from the reception assistant manager, who had an attitude problem, all the staff were very friendly.

We had a wonderful and refreshing time at Hilton RAK. It was a good break and refreshing scenery from Dubai. The facilities, staff and service were all exemplary, even the food from the restaurants. We loved the salt water pool and how it looks spectacular against the main building of the hotel. Maybe our timing was good because there weren't many guests so we had a corner of the beach almost all to ourselves.
Overall, it was a nice and wonderful stay and we'd love to go back. However, we did have a couple of complaints.
First, the bath towel I used for the first time had a hair strand! Obviously not mine because I just picked it up from the hanging rail, and it was long and dark while my hair is midlength with blonde at the end. We asked for a new set of towels but 2 out of 3 new towels also had hair and dust in them. I believe these were laundered and ironed or whatever because they were still warm when handed over to us. Still, we didn't want to use those which had hair strands in them and so called reception again for another set of towels. A fellow Filipino (we're Filipinos) came and we told him what happened and he offered that they will clean the room for us while we had dinner. When we got back and checked the towels, they're all clean so we used them.
Second, complaint: The toilet in our room didn't have a bidet!
Apart from these two things, we had a really nice stay and enjoyed overall.

We’ve just returned from a week stay at this hotel in RAK, we had a garden view room which was lovely, the room and bathroom was very clean although there were small black flies we could see at night attracted to the light and weren’t sure where they were coming from!
The restaurant is equally clean and a good quality selection of food for meat eaters. I’m vegetarian and struggled to put a meal together on some days but never went hungry with the selection of salads etc. Service was really very good at the hotel, reception staff seemed a little hostile/arrogant on occasion however all bar staff and the restaurant waiters were very very friendly. I have to give a shout out to BITU who works in the restaurant, he was very accommodating and literally cannot do enough for you and was by far the best and made us smile daily!
The pools are very clean as are the beaches. Entertainment is rather limited but this is a perfect place for 100% relaxation. Not sure if we would visit again as we do prefer the live atmosphere the Palm brings however would recommend this hotel if it’s quiet sun you’re looking for. A good quality 4* (not sure this is a 5*) hotel which could do with some flooring/tiles maintenance around the pool and steps area.

Good ambiance rooms and we upgraded our room from city view to sea view (we had pay extra thou) which was excellent and relaxing amazing . The service thou is very slow we had to wait 2 hours and more for a hand shower or bidet to be attached in our toilet 🙄
Several calls and a personal visit to the reception made it happen
The room service was slow I am guessing due to the holiday season
We had booked a half board including dinner we were not informed we can have dinner only in the restaurant The kitchen . Heavily disappointed with the dinner which was served .it the Mexican theme that night and sorry to say the food was not even 2** quality
But the manager on duty was very helpful Amar he made us spl butter chicken with some parathy. The breakfast was very good .

We avoided the Eid holiday rush and checked in on Sunday for a two night family gateway. We booked garden facing rooms with an all Inclusive package.
Check in was smooth and not crowded. We rushed to have lunch before going to our rooms but an efficient concierge team member took our room cards (while we were at the restaurant) and dropped our luggage bags in our respective rooms.
Restuarant service throughout our stay was fantastic. Special shout-out to Luzy, Sudip and Restaurant Manager Sreejith for their personalized attention. Great team.
Buffet meals at Kitchen restaurant was tasty although variety was limited. Drinks served and topped up without any hesitation.
We also visited the beach bar and the dome cafe. Burmese lady staff at the Dome cafe (Thient - I hope I got her name right) was always friendly and efficient. She served our last drinks before our journey back home.
The pools and the beach was perfect. There was a slide for smaller kids and game room (additional payment).
Wife used the spa too for a hot oil massage. Although we initially thought there was a 25% discount, it appears we were charged the full amount. Please verify on discount eligibility.
Overall an awesome staycation and we felt safe despite Covid restrictions. Shout out to F&B Manager Sherin Thomas for an overall efficiently run F&B department.
Tips, take a all inclusive package, stay in garden facing rooms which is close to the pools / beach club.
We will be back!

We stayed here for 2 nights. We had been there before and enjoyed our stay so wanted to come back.
The hotel and reception as returning customers were great. I would like to mention here Mr Mina Aziz, Cluster Reservations Manager, for assisting with the booking and Mr Sabry Afify, Front Office Manager, for accommodating our requests and ensuring that we have a pleasurable experience despite the busy time of year.
We used the Spa during our stay and the range of treatments were varied. The Spa manager, Ms Nadia Kokoshkova-Mansour was very helpful in ensuring that the booking process was smooth. A special thank you also to Ms Reggie, the therapist, for an excellent and professional treatment.
I would also like to particularly mention Jerry, the buggy driver, for ensuring that our transportation within the resort was prompt and pleasant.
A few issues needed looking into though; housekeeping were not very helpful: I repeatedly kept asking for more towels, even writing notes and leaving them on display for the housekeeping staff to see but they weren't considered. I called twice Guest relations to get more towels but the used extra towels were not replaced. I also asked for more amenities, but they were handed to us in a plastic bag instead of having housekeeping place them in the bathroom.
The other issues were that the available guest Wi-Fi was patchy, slow and kept disconnecting, I asked for Premium Wi-Fi but did not get it, and the bed mattress was too hard and uncomfortable.
Other than that, it was a pleasant stay and a decent price.

The other issues were that the available guest Wi-Fi was patchy, slow and kept disconnecting, I asked for Premium Wi-Fi but did not get it, and the bed mattress was too hard and uncomfortable.
Other than that, it was a pleasant stay and a decent price.
