Nestled in Ras Al Khaimah, The Ritz-Carlton Al Hamra Beach is often celebrated for its cleanliness and luxurious atmosphere, with many guests enjoying the well-appointed villas complete with private pools and cabanas. While the rooms earn praise for their spaciousness, there are occasional mentions of noise and less-than-stellar in-room dining. Service at the hotel is generally regarded as professional and attentive, yet some guests note room for improvement in service consistency. While the serene amenities are a highlight, opinions on value vary, with some guests feeling the experience justifies the cost and others not so much.

Individual and private, tent style, but luxurious chalets ensure a peaceful and secluded stay if that’s what you want. They come with their own private garden and plunge pool. Transport to and from the dining, bar and swimming pool area and the spa is by golf buggy. We had a room closer to the main dining area which enabled us to walk there, which is probably easier than arranging a buggy every time.
Service was very good, everyone there was intent on ensuring that everything was done for us, if anything it was a little too effusive.
There is little in the way of entertainment. Bizarrely there was a film shown on the beach most nights, but without sound. La La Land with no sound! Really? It’s a musical. Some of the films had subtitles (not all) but not always in a language we recognised. Very odd.
The food in the restaurant was very good but be careful if you are on a half board package, there is little logic to the way you will be charged. Drinks are expensive although cocktails are well made and pretty good value.
There are all kinds of treatments available at the spa, again, a bit on the pricey side but very well done by very pleasant staff.
In all a good place to stay if you want to get away from it all, the rooms are well appointed and very clean and great places to spend time just reading or chilling out.

I enjoyed my time at the Ritz. The end to end customer journey and experience was fab. Check-in was done in less than 5 minutes, we took the Al Bahar villa. The buggy ride and concierge service were spectacular, the employees were very helpful and kind. They explained everything and even give tips and advice what to do and see in their resorts. The room was squeeky clean, the interior and layout of the room was just breath taking. It resembles the villa you see in Maldives. We got complimentary breakfast and with just an additional 50 dhs, you can have it served in your room, if you want to be extra fancy pay 100 dhs and it will be on a floating basket and enjoy the meal in your pool. Food quality, taste and quantity are great too. In terms of the beach, its clean, white sand and you experience tranquility and good silence.
If you want to go out, the Al Hamra mall is just 3 minutes drive away where you can enjoy its amenities and restaurants. I highly recommend to anyone to try this place out. For those who has Fazaa Card or Esaad, you get 10% to 20% discount on their rates.

I was reluctant to travel during these times but all my concerns vanished when I arrived to the Ritz Carlton Al Hamra beach. Every part of this beautiful paradise is designed for privacy and space. The secluded villas with private pools on the quiet beach make for the perfect spot to truly relax. The friendly staff and their attention to detail was fantastic. There was always a fresh towel, chilled water, or popsicle treat waiting just when needed. Whether dining in the villa or at the restaurant, everything was delicious and thoughtfully presented. This is an incredibly beautiful place made truly special by the people who work there. Thank you!

To start with it the villa looks nothing like on the pictures, interior is dated and needs refurbishing. Rooms are small and outdoors area, the way it’s designed, doesn’t make sense. I should mention the garden around your villa which is beautiful. The beach is the kind of construction site sand and it’s not really close to your doorstep.
The biggest issue though seems to be cleanliness and the maintenance of the the outdoor area too. The kitchen and service isn’t consistent as well. We found food traces on the indoor furniture and cigarette buds inside the pool and under the sun beds. In order for the hotel to provide cover for the sun bed, they used bed sheet and nails to fix them on. Staff didn’t seem to be alarmed about COVID situation and wore their masks and gloves randomly, always serving our food without gloves....room service was either excellent or not edible....
If I had to pay the ticket price and didn’t book in advance at a discount, I would be really angry about my purchase.

Dear martinacar999, Thank you for sharing your feedback after your recent visit to Al Hamra Beach last month. While we understand that the villa may feel compact, the additional outdoor garden area, which features a day bed, plunge pool, beach cabana, sunbeds and dining table together with an outdoor shower and bathtub help to offer an expansive area for our guests to enjoy. This is all enhanced by the tropical gardens that our landscaping team cultivate to provide the ultimate privacy for each villa. Cleanliness is a foundation of our service standards and I am disappointed to learn that our team was not thorough when inspecting your villa. I do also apologize that the well intentioned, but inappropriate shade cloth that our team had installed for a previous guest had remained erected during your visit. This was not a permanent structure nor part of the Resort’s outdoor furniture. I have addressed this with the team and it has now been removed from the day bed. The health of our valued guests and our team is of great importance to us and is taken very seriously at the Resort. As such our Ladies & Gentlemen in the Restaurant and Kitchen follow all the local regulations, including the mandatory wearing of gloves and masks during service. Sincerely, Tracey Oliver General Manager

The hotel location is beautiful and peaceful. Our villa gave us a great feeling of privacy. The interior design of the room is stunning. We really enjoy the outdoor area of the hotel.

We were not so lucky to have a family with noisy kids near our villa, however Cristian the hotel manager was very professional and helpful. The hotel offers a huge and quiet beach for the guests to relax and activities with levy who will take good care of you.

My recommendation for the hotel would be to remove the colored lights garland at the pool/lounge area, gives a cheap look.

The combination pool and beach was so good for us. The restaurant serves delicious food, the staff is very attentive & friendly. Thanks Arun, Thanks Maria!

We booked one of the beach villas, would have loved the cliff facing villa but the hotel was fully booked. Great tented villa with outside pool, jacuzzi and private cabana. Hotel staff were quick to respond to all requests and nothing was too much trouble. It was lovely and quiet and you could not hear anyone or anything. Lovely king-size spacious bed, comfy bed linen and fully stocked bar with espresso machine and kettle. I would recommend upgrading to the cliff facing villa with sunbeams overlooking the ocean and an outside seating area with open fire. We were hoping for an upgrade because it was a special occasion but they were fully booked so clearly a popular location.

Given that I was going to a Ritz Carlton I went in with high expectations. This was the first time I was out with my wife my son who was all for 3 months old, my wife's parents both of whom are senior citizen and my nanny. Given that we run on our baby's schedule these days, we arrived earlier than the check in time and I had already requested for an early check in if possible due to this. Now despite seeing that I had a baby and two senior citizens no effort was made to get our room ready as soon as possible and in fact only when I made a noise about it was I allotted a spare room. Now what is interesting was that the hotel staff told me right at the start that the hotel was running at about 70% - 75% occupancy which makes me wonder why at least one of the two rooms we booked couldn't have been allotted to us earlier. We finally got our room about half an hour past the standard check in time! We then had to wait another hour before the staff was able to sort out our WiFi. The accommodation itself was top notch no complaints there, the staff too were fairly courteous too. The food though was a real let down. Firstly the number of food options are really limited and it's rather disappointing when you order the same dish twice and it tastes very different on both occasions! Definitely not something you'd expects for a hotel at this level. To be honest given that this is a premium property for the money you pay its definitely not worth it if there are so many shortcomings. I'll be thinking twice before ever recommending this property to some one else.

It was a rejuvenating 3N stay being away from everything as it felt like we were living on an island. The beachfront villa had an awesome view and was quite big with a private pool and front porch, most of the time you'd wanna just chill in your villa or by the beach. The resort only had 1 restaurant so choices were limited for us, one of the nights we had BBQ at our villa and the skewers were great!
Upon check in you will be getting on a yacht to get to the property from the reception, that was pretty welcoming.
Unfortunately we had some issues with housekeeping during our stay, they didn't do a good job cleaning hair from our villa upon check-in so we spotted strands of hair at a couple of places but it was rectified quickly. Thanks to Cristian & Vincent who took time to listen to our feedback & making it up, we appreciate it.

I did not get as far as check-in 😬

I booked a total of 4 nights there for an upcoming public holiday in the UAE end of November. We had stayed there before so I was looking forward to it.

I could not book the entire stay for points, as some of the stay was only available for cash. So I booked the first night for points and the remaining 3 nights for (a lot of) cash.

Understandably, the points booking was for a slightly lower category of villa than the cash booking. As a Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite, I was going we could get the same villa for the entire stay, given that the 3 days for cash cost 8 000 USD.

They called me before the stay, to “check” whether I was aware that the 2 back to back bookings were for different categories of villas, and that they will insist we move after the first night. After a short chat, where I was told they “never upgrade” and that there is nothing they can do for us on that first night, I thanked them and cancelled both bookings.

Bye bye Ritz Carlton Al Hamra 👋🏻😀

Dear DXB_Mike Thank you for selecting The Ritz-Carlton, Al Hamra Beach for the December Public Holiday. We always appreciate our valued Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite members and when they chose to stay with us for special occasions such as a long weekend. On review of your bookings, I confirm that the points booking and the cash booking were made for two different villa categories. As the reservations were for the busy Public Holiday, my team contacted you directly to reiterate the villa types. As the Resort has only 32 villas we wanted to reconfirm the villa categories to clarify the bookings prior to arrival to ensure a seamless stay. I understand my team followed up with you on a second occasion to clarify the booking and availability of the upgraded villa category however regret that the connection was lost. Subsequently thereafter the reservations were regretfully cancelled in our system. We do wish you an enjoyable staycation during the Public Holiday and hope that we have the opportunity to welcome you in the future to Ras Al Khaimah. Best regards Tracey Oliver (Ms.) General Manager

Hello! The pool size is about 10 meters and the villa full glass front is about 14meters. The sunset villas get a lot of sun during the day and makes the swimming pool warm as well. Having said that, there will always be a small part of shade in the pool as it’s very wide. The sunrise villas however get sun for 2 or 3 hours in the morning only and the rest of the day no sun, Shade all the time, colder water and more windy
