And so I'll start the story about our vacation, I hope someone will be helpful and help in choosing a hotel.
We rested at the end of November the weather at this time is very comfortable and pleasant you can both swim and sit in the bar and if you and the children will be beautiful too.
We arrived at the hotel around 15.00,the hotel is beautiful new, very Instagrammable, many locations for photos,at the entrance you are met by a staff member opens the door,in general all very friendly and hospitable.
We were escorted to the reception, where a Russian-speaking administrator met us, filled out all the documents paid a tourist fee of 20 dirhams per night for one room, there is no deposit by the way at the hotel, and while waiting for check-in immediately went for lunch and a walk around the grounds.
We could have moved in right away, but I asked for a room one floor up and it had to wait, thanks to Dimitri the room was with a beautiful view the grudge was worth it)
We were resting on the all inclusive concept.
The room has a huge bed, safe, minibar pays, but every day is replenished with two bottles of water tea coffee cream was also part of our concept.
Sockets adapted to any connector adapter not required.
All the soap supplies were also replenished.
The room also has bathrobes and slippers.
Beautiful powerful hairdryer.
Cleaning was done daily, after a day bed linen was changed.
Upon request, provided iron and ironing board, left until the end of the holiday.
In general the staff is very responsive and always ready to help, requests are responded to quickly.
We were satisfied with the food, everything tastes deliciously varied, in the restaurant the waiters bring drinks, escort you to the available table, we did not observe the queues here.
There are always seats available both in the restaurant and on the beach on sunbeds.
Generally the area by the hotel is delightful like the tropics, on the beach there are many sunbeds under palm trees in the shade, and under umbrellas in the sun, you can choose which you are more comfortable.
There's a baby trampoline on the water, unobtrusive animation for babies.
The beach itself with the white small shell, they say it was brought right from Maldives😅 I don't know how true it is, but the sand is beautiful and very pleasant.
There are several bars where you can get drinks or snacks at a cost depending on the concept purchased.
Of the entertainment in the evening live music in the Boons bar, who likes to hang out there is a panoramic rooftop bar on the 10th floor, there is already a DJ playing there, as far as I know this bar is not open during the summer months.
We only had a positive impression of the holiday, would love to return to this hotel, no case with the staff, etc. we had no feeling, on the contrary that we are cared for and very welcome our arrival😊
By the way, regarding the construction it is there, but absolutely invisible so the main work is already finished, we lived right in and found out about it only by going out on the balcony, there was no noise and discomfort.
From us the hotel like👍🏾already miss😻

A Mixed Bag of Modernity and Minor Mishaps...while the hotel boasts a sleek, modern design and offers some excellent amenities, several shortcomings tarnished our stay.

The Good:

Modern Design: The hotel's contemporary architecture and stylish interiors are truly impressive.
Quick Room Service: The prompt response to maintenance issues was commendable (for example when for a flickering light all through the night - that couldn't be turned off and once because a waterfall of water arrived via the ceiling into our toilet.... happily it was clean water)
Diverse Cuisine: The "Market" restaurant offered a wide variety of fresh salads and a good range of options, changing every meal time.... they offered the kids some funny combos... check out the photos.
Attentive Staff: The pool and bar staff were friendly and efficient.
Family-Friendly Pool: The shallow pool with multiple levels was perfect for children.
Cleanliness: The public areas were well-maintained and spotless.
Beach Quality: The pristine beach provided a relaxing retreat.
Entertainment: The band at the Boons bar was great (I think they are called Trio Rizo); our children especially loved them; they put so much energy into what they did and were great with the kids.

The Bad:

Limited Evening Entertainment: Even if the band were great; there were no evening shows
Inconsistent Service: The reception staff's language barriers and inattentiveness were frustrating (eg. on their smartphones)
Poor Room Layout: The placement of electrical outlets (there was a need to search for plugs + no plug in the bathroom) and the initial room preparation were inconvenient (it was setup for 2 people rather than the four that we paid for!)
Pool Shade: The hotel's structure cast a shadow over the pool and some beach area during the afternoon.
All-Inclusive Restrictions: The limited all-inclusive hours and locations were disappointing, which is a great shame, as both the Boons Bar (main bar area downstairs), Neo bar (on the roof) and Ula in the adult area are like ghost towns as a result and are barely used.

Despite the above, the hotel's positive aspects make it a decent choice for a family vacation. It was really positive to see the hotel manager taking an active (if a little lightweight) engagement with the guests.

This is an amazing, modern, and incredibly beautiful hotel! We thoroughly enjoyed every second of our stay. The grounds are lush, well-maintained, and inviting, while the beach and sea are stunning—though the water was a bit chilly in January. Our double suite had a breathtaking sea view, complete with a panoramic balcony and a stylish glass fence, I enjoyed it very much, specially during the sunsets)

The service was exceptional, with every staff member treating guests with great respect and professionalism. I would like to specifically thank a few individuals who made our stay unforgettable. Anas, from the Market restaurant, was incredibly friendly and exhibited the highest level of hospitality. He was exceptionally attentive to my family, making us feel welcomed and comfortable, for which I am truly grateful. Aleem, from housekeeping, ensured that our room was impeccably clean every day. Fresh towels and spotless bedding awaited us daily, and even the air in the room felt fresher after each cleaning. Zeeshan from the concierge was always approachable, friendly, and ready to offer helpful advice about the local area. His recommendations were invaluable, especially since we traveled extensively within the UAE by car. The reception team was also fantastic—swift, professional, and accommodating. We were checked in within five minutes of arrival, setting a positive tone for our entire stay.

One minor regret was that our children missed out on several activities at the Starfish Club. Unfortunately, there was no prior communication or sufficient advertising about the events, which was a bit disappointing.

The hotel’s commitment to sustainability is commendable and resonates with our own values. They have replaced plastic bags and bottles with eco-friendly alternatives, and even the room keys are made of wood. The restaurants also embrace sustainability by focusing on reducing food waste and offering only what guests truly need, which we deeply appreciated.

As a small suggestion, it would be wonderful if the hotel could offer properly prepared black tea (not tea bags) served with fresh milk. I believe this would be greatly appreciated by many guests from Kazakhstan and other regions where tea culture is highly valued.

This was my first visit to the UAE, and I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations, thanks to the outstanding comfort and world-class service provided by Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan. I deeply appreciate the efforts of the entire team in making this place so special and wish them continued success

In the common restaurant where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served (it is the only one included), coffee is from a coffee pot... there is no choice of espresso, cappuccino, only from a coffee pot. What saved us was that there was a coffee shop in the lobby where you could take coffee with you to the restaurant. Mövenpick ice cream at the Mövenpick all-inclusive hotel paid for one scoop 500 rubles...
The choice of food on the buffet for lunch and dinner is meager; in the end we ate in restaurants for money, which is about 8,000 rubles for lunch for two.
Alcohol is not included very much, you also had to buy it with money. Non-alcoholic drinks (Pepsi, water, etc.) all on tap. You will be lucky if they pour it into a disposable glass, or maybe into a reusable one in good condition.
There are no personal hygiene items (brushes, toothpaste) in the room. For 6 days for two, we spent an additional $1,700 on food and drinks, plus all-inclusive
Pros: the rooms are good, the food in paid restaurants is very tasty, the beach is clean.

This is complete trash. We were on vacation with our family, there were 4 reception desks in the hotel, only one was working. We stood in line to check in for 20 minutes. It took 15 minutes to check in, but it took a very long time. We were offered to move in on the 2nd floor, we said that this option was not suitable for us and with great dissatisfaction we were moved up higher. Now a little about the number. The mattress is terribly soft, it is impossible to sleep, there is no water pressure. Birds poop on the balcony. And by the way, it seems like a small thing, but it’s very unpleasant, the chairs on the balcony are terribly dirty. Now not much about the service. He is terrible; all your requests are fulfilled with a rude face or not fulfilled at all. They asked to clean the room later, so instead of 10:00 they cleaned it at 16:00. The corridors are shaky. The windows are not washed (it feels like they have been washed once in 3 years). Now about the food. The food is simply HORRIBLE, the only edibles are pasta, pizza and omelette for breakfast. All the baked goods are rubbery, the chicken and fish are incredibly dry, it feels like they were specially dried for meat. I don't understand what the sauce for the fish is. One Indian kitchen, during my entire stay at the hotel I never saw a single Indian. Spicy, dry, nasty, tasteless in places. Now about the prices: a cup of cappuccino (300 ml) in the only cafeteria on site is 900 rubles, a small scoop of ice cream is 350 rubles. In the Beach House, to get enough food you have to pay 15,000 rubles for three. The beach seems normal, but the sea in April is still cold. There are only children in the pool so swimming is not possible. This hotel is considered a children's hotel, there is even a large children's room, but the animation here completely sucks. It feels like they are just recruiting random students to just shout something, jump around, run around with the children and that’s it. Never set foot in this hotel again. This is what Swiss service means.

From start to finish I would rate the stay as excellent.

We had stayed across the road at the Doubletree the year before and got hotel envy when we saw the bright, modern, contemporary interior of the Movenpick, along with the amenities it enjoys.

We arrived in the middle of the night, no issue with check in and were offered a welcome buggy round to our chalet. We had booked a Beachfront Junior Suite with Terrace, which are located behind trees down the beach a bit. The room was fantastic, large picture windows, designed so that you cant see into downstairs where they have the private pool and just felt very secluded. Only 30 or so of these, very spacious very comfortable, and room cleaning etc was daily and comprehensive. Huge comfortable bed, large bathroom with walk in shower, stand alone bath. Maybe could do with a dressing table of more accessible powerpoints for drying hair etc.

I'll review the individual restaurants and amenities, but Boons Restuarant and Bar is amazing, special shout out to Chef Prakesh, Khalid, Bonita and Islam for their service. Ula Beach Bar is adult only pool and we hung out there during the day, beautiful beach club with lovely food and amenities, DJ on every day, whats not to like. Neo Sky Bar is spectacular and gives 360 views over the gulf and towards RAK. Shout out to Chef Karthik. The buffet is a buffet right, great choice and quality varies when you hit it, they are all the same when they are good and this is good. Very busy but it was Xmas. Beach House is right on the private beach and has sand right into the restaurant, great idea. Relaxed, food great, but they do take their time to serve you sometimes! Dembo, good lad.

We upgraded from AI to Dine Around, was worth it alone for the access to meals and drinks at all the bars. One criticism would be that the Dine Around menus are very small, maybe should amend from lunch to dinner? and they sometimes didn't have any GF choices at all for say starters. Having said that, the staff were superb at dealing with this and very accommodating for my wife who is GF. GF options at breakfast for breads were all micro heated and tough - maybe try and get some fresh?

Went for a spa, couples massage - very good and reasonable enough, would defo do again, spa and gym are lovely.

Resort is very green, you don't feel like you're in the desert and they pull that off very well.

Felt that the huge majority of staff were very aligned with the service side, commend the management on that.

On leaving, they understood that after arriving at 3am but booking that night, they extended our check out 'til 7pm and gave us meals on the leaving night as well, which was much appreciated.

We will be back, place is superb.

Nice hotel, we're 100% sure of it, so we're back again, for the third time. We are not obsessed with it and are not afraid to learn anything new, just know that this hotel can relax with a child on the beach with clean white sand and nice greenery on the coastline. A couple of months ago returned from the Anantara Hotel on the Jumeirah Palm in Dubai and honestly, being there dreamed of the beach of the Movenpic Hotel, so briefly thinking found an excuse and returned to the UAE. The established lagoon on this island is markedly different from many beaches, including on this same island. Were on the nearby Hilton Hotel beach, heaven and earth when compared.
The hotel is still new and well maintained, the staff is friendly. It's a shame the concept has changed, the loyalty program doesn't work. Upgrading the room category is only payable, but for a couple of hours Check in and Check out did as a compliment after some persuasion and communication with the manager. The baby got some sleep before he left.
The construction site is near the final stage, our windows never hit it. It didn't really bother us. But you have to consider the fact that the whole island has started to be built up. Cranes loom all over the horizon. Work is under way, including noisy and sometimes brought to the beach. The overall picture on the horizon has deteriorated, but if you don't pay attention, it doesn't interfere with the rest. For family relax, that's it. Overnight flight from Moscow to Sharjah, then 40 minutes by taxi for 140 dirhams and before lunch you relax on the beach.
Thank you to the hotel for your pleasant stay, wish you prosperity.
P.S. special thanks to Arvind administrator and Supun waiter

I don’t know how this hotel got 5*, in my opinion the quality of services is so bad that it’s barely worthy of 3

Accommodation: there was a huge queue to check in, we paid for early check-in. Analogues when leaving, there was a large queue of nervous people in swimsuits and all the water flowed straight onto the floor.

Food: honestly disgusting, queues at the entrance, the menu practically does not change from day to day, eternal queues at breakfast for something like scrambled eggs, once it stood and it turned out to be terribly over-salted. For children it is almost the same as for adults, super salty, fatty and tasteless. The fruit was constantly running out.
But the worst thing is that you have to order coffee/alcohol from a waiter who simply ignores you and doesn’t approach you, even when you call, go crazy, go to their counter and ask for drinks, they can easily ignore it all and not bring anything. Once, my husband and I took turns coming up 5 times for coffee and in 45 minutes they never brought it to us, to be honest, having paid a lot of money and getting such a service is the bottom.
A separate issue is the availability of ONLY small 150 ml glasses for drinks and juices, which for some reason you have to go get yourself. Why not give them normal glasses so that at least you don’t have to go several times?

A separate song is the so-called “all inclusive”, if you expect that you will go to the beach, go for drinks and order any cocktail, forget it, this is not about this hotel. All that is available to you is 2 terrible cocktails, everything else is paid for, and quite a lot. For example, crown beer promotion says 99 AED - 600 rubles per bottle 0.3 Sorry, but this is funny.

Accommodation on the beach: everything is always packed, people put down their towels and go to lunch, you have to go to the end of the beach line, although you arrived at 10.

Also in terms of cleanliness - the room was cleaned so-so, I put a piece of paper on the bedside table and it was not thrown out until the end of the vacation)))
The windows in the corridor next to the elevators are super dirty) Although the view is beautiful
They couldn't remove the pieces of paper from the carpet next to the elevator for 5 days.
Apparently they are very rarely cleaned

In short, the experience is disgusting, I do not recommend this hotel at all

We rested in this hotel in the period August-September 2023, amazing service, starting from the reception guys (a wonderful girl and guy Honi), we arrived at the hotel early, the flight was at 6:55 in the morning, a separate individual transfer, they offered earlier check-in, and also advised The room is quieter (there is construction going on nearby). Room cleaning 2 times a day, turndown service. On the beach, the guys do a great job, escorting you to the sun loungers, cleaning the area, and a lifeguard is constantly on duty. The food in the restaurant is beyond praise. Meat, seafood, vegetables, fruits and freshly squeezed juices. In general, rest 100/100.

Complete disappointment. The pluses are soft white sand on the beach, we checked in quickly, friendly staff at the reception showed us our room and offered us a better option for a small extra charge. That's all(((
Now on to the cons. There is construction going on next to the hotel. And there is no escape from this. On the beach you will not be able to enjoy the sound of the surf, but will listen to the work of the builders. Wi-if keeps disconnecting. There is no kitchen: there is nothing to eat. Vegetables include chopped cucumbers, tomatoes and some greens, olives. From the second courses: fish with an unpleasant smell, dry chicken and a kind of paste with shrimp, there will be a maximum of 2 shrimp per serving. For breakfast I asked for cappuccino, it turned out to be extra. Grabbing a cup of coffee in the morning is a so-so service. This begs the question: why book all inclusive if there is none?? In the evening I ordered wine - chemical powder with flavorings, which will last for 1.5 hours. There is an Ala Carte restaurant, but we’ve only been here for the second day, we haven’t gotten to it yet, I really hope that there will be tasty and varied food. Even if it's paid. They write about animation - there is none! There are no yoga or group sports classes 🤷‍♀️We went to the spa. We paid more than 17 thousand rubles for two people for an hour of massage - we were constantly stroked and lightly pinched. There is no hammam, no sauna. I also didn’t find any squeaky cleanliness in the rooms. As a rule, in hotels the linen is snow-white and has a pleasant aroma. There's a rotten egg smell coming from the pillow. The audibility is colossal, and since 90% of vacationers are with children, you yourself understand what a pleasure it is to witness how other parents raise their children or children playing and catching up in the corridor. There are still unpleasant moments, but these are details and little things. And so it happened a lot. I won't come back here. And I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
