The first second I walked in the hotel, this receptionist called Prusad Shayn looked at me like I was a stranger and I was not welcomed. I am writing this review from the reception. I am not coming back.
I chose the Ajman Beach Hotel for my first visit to Ajman mainly due to location. I looked at a few options around Ajman, but decided that the corniche would be the best spot for what I was after – beach access, access to local restaurants and parking for a vehicle (to explore more of Ajman and UAQ). I chose this hotel instead of others in a similar budget due to the location on the beach, and not across the road from it. The location being off the main section of the corniche meant that traffic was also less busy. The hotel was built in 1979, and was likely one of the only hotels of its kind in the area for a long time. While there are bigger, flashier, more luxurious and newer hotels in the area, I plan to return to the Ajman Beach Hotel. I enjoyed the private beach at the hotel, for both swimming in the ocean and relaxing in the sun. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room faced the ocean and was comfortable and clean. I walked from the hotel down the corniche every night for dinner at various restaurants. The location was close to supermarkets and restaurants as well. The parking was crowded on the north side, but there was plenty on the South side of the hotel. During my stay, there was a private birthday party at the hotel and also busy nights with the bars attached to the hotel. At no point was I bothered by the noise. Breakfast was included in my stay, which isn’t usually my choice. The food was mostly fairly standard, even though I mostly had chai. The single lift in the hotel was somewhat frustrating, especially with covid limiting the number of occupants. During high traffic times, it was fast to walk up the stairs. The gym/fitness centre was adequate, but far from modern.…
Wajid was very helpful, friendly with all family Room cleaning was top and decoration He brought me an additional espresso machine … :-) Stuff really recommended and the visit of Ajman palace also !!!
The experience was disgusting. This was a 3 star hotel but deserves no stars. The morning security Julius was extremely unprofessional and childish. We paid 290 aed and they treated us like garbage. Just go to different hotel, don't waste ur time and money here. They also threw shade at us for Cleaning our roomy. HOTELS ARE SUPPOSED TO CLEAN THE ROOM WHENEVER YOU ASK. Some of the staff were friendly. But most were terrible. Haven't tried the food but the buffet area looks mediocre as well. The morning reception staff were extremely unhelpful and rude to us as well. They have the most ridiculous policies which even 5 star hotels with a nice reputation don't have. I've typed way too much. Just avoid this hotel.
Ajman beach hotel definitely an old school build, she is beautiful if you are okay with the basics and lack of bling which is a refreshing change from the high end snobbery. This hotels brings me back to my 80’s childhood growing up in Dubai. I recommend as long as you are happy with basics and a super friendly service. Supporting small businesses all the way! Love it!!
