We spend almost 2wks, from 16/3 until 27/3 at the resort. Room number #417. It was the 2nd year in a row that we were at this hotel. I'll start by congratulating the hotel for the cleanliness and good maintenance of the rooms and premises, fitness center, pool, pool area and beach area. Also the deck chairs and sun umbrellas are good and plenty. The personel, it be at reception, entry hall restaurants and bars, is very friendly and helpfull everywhere. But, It has to be said though that we noticed an efficiency decrease in the service at both Vista restaurant and BaB outside bar. Long waiting times for order taking and food / beverage delivery were very common and not at all present last year. Also a decrease in food variation/quality and presentation could be noted. For us the evening meal is always a happy event to finish of a good day, but now it was more a necessity, a get it over and done with event. Perhaps the majority of the vacationers are ok with this, but not everybody is. Having said that, I need the praise the food and service of the Mejhana restaurant. All in all a positive vacation, but please re-evaluate the service efficiency and food choices. Thank you. P. Vandeloo Luxembourg

Having stayed at another hotel in Ajman on a number of occasions, at which we saw standards significantly decline, we decided on trying the Saray. Overall we are pleased to say that we had a very enjoyable stay. As expected at the majority of up market UAE hotels, the staff are consistently welcoming, helpful and courteous. This was evident from our first arrival in the early hours of the morning, until our departure. We selected a beach front room which was excellent. Our room attendant Prabin kept it spotlessly clean, and each time that we saw him was always anxious to know if we had any further needs. We selected the all-inclusive tariff, which we found to be very acceptable. Before our stay we did note some negative reviews on the selection of beverages available. A copy of the all-inclusive beverages list is available, which once we had obtained a copy gave us a clear understanding what was included. Unlike the nearby hotel that we had previously stayed at, which offered obscure brands of beer and spirits, the Saray list included some premium brands of beer (cans) and spirits. Breakfast and lunch were excellent, dinners were not always so good. We dined in the Vista restaurant for breakfast and dinner, and Bab Al Bahar for lunch. The Bab al Bahar, located on the beach, is a fantastic location. Staff could not be more helpful. Our thanks to Faiser (Manager), Helen and Chan for making our lunchtime dining experience something special. Dinners in Vista were sometimes disappointing. While mostly buffet they are nightly themed. The seafood night was excellent. The Mediterranean night offered a live pasta station, which appeared to serve one somewhat bland tomato based sauce. A request was made for an Arrabiata sauce, the server did not understand how this made, sought advice from a colleague, and then produced a somewhat bland version of it. With minimal staff training the live pasta station could be significantly improved to include a variety of sauces including carbonara. A food temperature issue was experienced, with some buffet food almost cold on one occasion. Three of the buffet food warming trays not functioning correctly. Once reported this issue was quickly resolved, thank you Savita. One recurring disappointment was the often limited selection of cheeses, most nights without crackers. Vista offers the availability of dining outside. However a problem with this is very limited outside lighting, with the result that you have to eat in near darkness! Lights on the tables would have been appreciated. Dietary needs and a number of personal preferences were accommodated, a sincere thank you to Arun (temporary Manager) for facilitating these, and Nnamdi (waiter) who took such good care of us at meal times. While all the staff that we came in contact with were consistently helpful, one person that deserves particular mention is Rafael (Customer Care Expert). We quickly learnt the he was the go-to guy if we had any questions or needed advice on anything related to the hotel or Ajman. If he did not immediately know the answer, he would research it get back to us with an answer. Rafael you are a real star. We are hoping to return to Ajman later this year, Saray Ajman will be our preferred hotel.

I recently spent a week here with my daughter. The setting is very nice - a lovely private beach and a couple of decent sized pools. I found all of the staff very polite and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast buffet selection was extensive and there is enough choice in the other restaurants for the evening. We arrived on a Friday and I was concerned initially at loud music coming from the adjoining hotel in the evening where they clearly had events going on . It was the same on Saturday night and I feared this was it for the week. Happily, it was just the 2 nights. The music didn't go on very late but it was quite intrusive if you wanted to sit out on your balcony during the evening. I'm still going to give it a 5 star review as there was so much which was very good about the Hotel and I think compared to the prices of the hotels in Dubai itself, it's good value. I plan to come back next year which i think says a lot.

Our stay at Ajman Saray was PERFECT! - the grounds are beautiful - great beach with soft sand and calm, shallow water for floating or swimming - the rooms are spacious with beautiful bathrooms, soaking tubs, beautiful lighting, and comfortable beds - staff are amazing; everyone was helpful from check in staff, to concierge, to the wait staff at the pool, to the friendly housekeeping manager who stopped to say hello, introduce herself, and check how my stay was going when she saw me in the hallway - food was great; we really enjoyed the Bab Bar poolside menu, lunch menu, and the steaks at dinner time; try the fish and chips, wasabi prawns, and the nachos. Highly recommend Ajman Saray for a few days of beachside relaxation when you are in Dubai or Sharjah.

We came to Ajman Saray to celebrate my wife’s birthday and they were so accommodating especially Rafael from the front desk. They provided cake and balloons for my wife and even wrote a birthday greeting for her in the sand. Housekeeping was also very helpful. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast at Vista was the best breakfast we have. All in all, amazing place, will definitely book again.

Lovely hotel, nice to be back having last visited in 2019. A few changes - the in-house restaurants have been rebranded but still offer a choice of dining, Staff extremely helpful. An evening drink on the balcony overlooking the sea is now spoiled, however, by the huge (we're talking 15' x 10' approx) TV screen which has been set up at the edge of the pool, which shines light into all sea-facing balconies. No, not all guests want to watch football every evening.

Just coming to the end of our bi-annual visit to the Saray and, as usual, never disappoints. We've been coming since it's conception as a Starwoods luxery selection, and it's transitioning through the Marriott hotel group and always found it exceptional value for money. There's been many changes of policy and services over the years ( some times to its detriment) but ONE quality remains a constant & that's the service of the hotel staff. One observation I've had ( over the past 2 years & 4 visits) in particular is a lad called Chris who works as a "poolside " waiter, without doubt his skill set and inter-personal abilities would grace ANY premier London hotel ( let alone Dubai) why he is STILL in the same position and not wearing a managerial suit by now?? Is beyond belief! Another outstanding colleague is Pasha ( also poolside) a tad more formal but outstanding service delivery. I'd be surprised if either hasn't been " poached " by one of the majors in Dubai soon. Special mention must also go to Diana ( front of house) and all the restaurant staff ( far too many to name individually unfortunately) although our next two holidays this year are both on the Palm Dubai) we really look forward to our January break here in the Ajman Saray & hopefully see many regular faces again. Thanks once again for a consistently fabulous holiday. K & J. Pearson
