Greetings, It’s not our first time to the hotel, It WAS one of our favorite hotels, We came here many times earlier as a family. What we found this time is really bad and frustrating. We paid for the sea view room and we get the smallest and worst arranged room. No towels no bathroom items and even no water. The open buffet 24 hours main restaurant is very dirty, and, The senior staff are racist and rude in the restaurant. And when we request an hour of late check out at 1 pm , not at 12 they refused in a very rude manner. I am sorry to give this review to one of our PREVIOUSLY favorite hotels. WE WILL NEVER COME AGAIN.

Location is great for local Ajman area but if you intend making trips into Dubai it can be problematic ,traffic congestion is massive despite unbelievable motorway network . About 1 hr each way to central Dubai circa £25 taxi. Visited Burj Khalifi and mall using hotel courtesy bus and it was amazing . Gold and other souks in Ajman are smaller but just as good , Sharjah blue and gold souks also worth a visit .UAE is not a walkabout place ,everybody travels by car . Hotel is excellent ,the staff are very friendly and take a real pride in giving good service .Breakfast is excellent with a worldwide buffet . We were Band B because we like to leave hotels to visit local restaurants but this did not prove practical because it really need a taxi every time and more importantly it is only hotels who serve alcohol (in Sharjah even hotels are no alcohol ) . Since all hotel menus seemed much the same we used the 2 a la carte in the hotel (we are not buffet fans for dinner ) and both were very good indeed with plenty of choice . A starter and main course for 2 is typically £60 /70 but the cost of alcohol is massive ,no bottles under £40 for ordinary wine . Conversely there is an off licence adjacent to the hotel next door which is just the opposite ,cheap as chips for good stuff so we tended to have our drinks on the balcony gazing out to sea . Only small complaint which has been identified in other reviews is lack of staff around the pool/beach areas ,blame management not the staff who are rushed off their feet . We were on floor 6 in the de luxe rooms .September was hot and rather humid so if we return it will be a few weeks later

We have just returned from a weeks holiday here. Firstly would like to say how absolutely fabulous the guys are around the pool that serve you the drink and food, the lifeguards, and our daily cleaner Tej. There customer service is outstanding and nothing was too much trouble for them. It’s pool/beach service which makes it so easy to order, you just press the button on your table! The lifeguards always greet you and have a friendly chat and our room was always cleaned to a very high standard everyday with clean towels daily. I had a massage at the spa by Remi, she was amazing can highly recommend the spa experience. The food is superb, top quality always fresh and plenty of choice even room service late night snacks were so tasty The drinks were very good, good choices of beer and the Prosecco and wine were very good too. On the down side …. In the Mahaj(highly recommended) restaurant if you want certain dishes you need to pay a supplement which can add up to £40-50 extra for 2. We were all inclusive and unless you know how it works it can be it complicated and not explained clearly! So there is a beautiful beachside restaurant which has exactly the same menu as the pool side… however if you want to go and sit at a table at this restaurant/bar to eat or drink then you have to pay!! We got caught out on this the first afternoon there. This makes no sense what so ever and although it’s lovely having that pool side service we would have sometimes liked to have wandered down to the beach and sat to eat There is no entertainment what so ever, we did wonder where everyone went in the evenings as we were basically were the only ones sitting outside of an evening We paid to upgrade to a suite when we arrived which was fine however the day we returned we were not leaving until 10pm. We were charged another £100 late check out even though the hotel was I would say 40% capacity, and within the charge we didn’t even get the all inclusive package we had to pay for our food and drinks on top. We would think as a good will and the fact we had already paid £600 for the room upgrade they would have provided the room with no charge. Finally don’t go by google maps how far this hotel is from Dubai albeit not far in miles the time to get there in a taxi because of the horrific traffic sometimes took over an hour! You do have to take a taxi everywhere you can’t walk anywhere here as it’s fairly remote. Having said all of this .. would we return … yes. For a hotel based relaxing holiday with amazing food and the staff definitely make it, it’s a beautiful place to visit.

Overall service, location is OK, but when it comes to service on the beach, it’s horrendous. First day you will be served to your satisfaction but come day 2 and thereafter, no one attends to you. They would ignore you on purpose even when you would place a service request or take 20 minutes to deliver your order while continuing to service people around you and the new comers. First time we encounter this at a Marriott property.
