Arrived at the hotel via Taxi on November 15, 2019. Entrance to the hotel was so congested (nobody trying to direct traffic) that I had to get out my taxi 100m from the hotel and walk. Check in was chaotic; waited for half hour, there is no elite check in at this hotel. Eventually summoned manager and I was taken upstairs to the club to check in. The lady at the club said they did not have a room for me and I would have to wait at least an hour. They had oversold the hotel. Eventually called IHG. They said they would call the hotel and help. I was eventually taken to a room and asked if it was acceptable. It was a smoking room and stunk and was obviously not acceptable. I was then taken to another room. It was probably the oldest in the hotel with the décor dating back to the original opening. I had been traveling for some time and with the 2 hour wait checking in I said I would take it. After taking a shower and going to the gym I looked at the décor and carpets and it was disgusting. I complained again to the manager on duty and eventually they found me a more suitable room. The next morning I went to the gym and found I could not get back in my room, they had only programmed the key for one day. Went back to the reception, again chaos, about a one hour wait. Requested the manager again and finally got the key reprogrammed. In summary a horrible stay. I will never stay at this hotel again and considering if I want to use IHG again, even though I am Spire Elite with this group. . I am also an Elite member of Marriott Bonvoy. That is a quality program and they treat their guests with respect.

I don’t like the facilities. Lobby is very hot. Gym is not fully provided with machines and most of them are broken also, the ventilation is poor in the gym. The swimming pool is very dirty. It can’t be a three stars hotel.

Rooms dirty... been here 3 days with no cleaning. Yesterday, it took 3 trips downstairs over a period of hours to requesting clean bath towels.... finally a guy came to the room and gave me two pool towels. Called several times for laundry pick up to no avail. Took the bag of laundry to the front desk as I was leaving for the day and was told to go back and they would send someone up... the laundry bag was in my hand... I told them to forget it...I took it next door to the Ramada, a real hotel who treats you well. I had an equal offer from the Sheraton on the beach for the same price... shame on me. Also, since my last stay here, they have added a "Spa" which is the code word for a massage with sex. Sleazy hotel....

Abdul Hye who was and still is the person who is taking care of my room is one of the most friendly person I met. My room is always in a peerfect shape when I comeback. This is the kind of service you are looking for if you are 2 weeks away from home. Also the other servjces in the hotel were great. Overall it was one of my best stay in Dubai.

We're a group when we checked-in this hotel. Since we've pre-booked, naturally they should know that there will be bunch of people attacking them. However, none from the staff seems to know this. They were so unprepared. Staffs were like headless chickens running around. No rooms were blocked, no rooms ready even. Took us 3 hours to check-in. We were four people in the suite and they have provided only one key. Rooms were spacious though, and clean. Toilets were satisfactory except a sink was leaking in one of the toilets. TV was not running and no sufficient sockets. Food at the breakfast was fine but the restaurant closes early. There's this feeling of ongoing construction in the lobby: ladders, tools were everywhere but no one is minding them. The hotel looks like it needs an urgent make-over and renovation. The staff needs training. The only good in this stay was the rooms. The suites were quite big.
