We had an amazing July 4th weekend at 434 on Main. The room (Artist Room) was spacious and well-appointed, and the bathroom (particularly the shower) was excellent. The hosts, Cam and Victor, could not have been more friendly and accommodating and went out of their way from beginning to end--from providing great suggestions on things to do and restaurants, to preparing delicious breakfasts while going way out of their way to address a dietary restriction, to allowing for a late checkout (since no one was in our room the night after us) that enabled us to spend Sunday at the beach. Great location--easy to walk to the town, train station and beach. Very manageable place to stay if you are trying to visit the Hamptons without a car, as we were. Of note in the COVID era, you can get takeout from a number of places in Amagansett Village within walking distance and there is a nice table to eat at on the patio. We haven't stayed in B&Bs much and like to be able to come and go freely--I would note that this wasn't a concern as access to the room was private, the hosts respected our privacy and we barely noticed the other guests. And, it is a better value than most other options in the area. We would recommend without hesitation!

434 on Main is a wonderful, clean getaway gem. I highly recommend and the owners are wonderful. It felt like I was staying at my own home and you don't necessarily need a car if you want to stay local in Amagansett!!

The uniformity of great reviews speaks for itself, so I want to add a bit about the thorough and thoughtful measures they’ve taken to keep guests safe from the Covid virus as NYS begins to permit businesses to reopen. I was there for three nights at the end of June. First off, the place is spotless throughout, and the rooms are thoroughly cleaned between stays. Masks are required in the common areas of the house, and at breakfast, the staff wears masks and the guests are seated at a comfortable distance from each other (and breakfast times are also scheduled to keep the dining area to a minimum number of guests at any one time). For resting, there’s comfortable outdoor seatIng on the front porch and in their lovely backyard. Hand sanitizer is readily available. All in, if you want to spend some time on the East End of Long Island, 434 is very comfortable and convenient — and safe. An easy place to relax in and enjoy the area.

My friend and I surprised our husbands (who were both celebrating milestone birthdays) with a getaway couples weekend at 434 on Main in Amagansett. Although it was a blustery winter weekend, we had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed our stay at 434 on Main. The owners, Cam and Victor were warm and welcoming, answering all our questions about places to go, things to do , and what restaurants are open in the “off season”. Because of its convenient location on NY 27, we had a short drive to several state parks, nature preserves, and beaches for hiking. Amagansett, East Hampton, and Sag Harbor are all great spots for visiting charming shops and restaurants along the waterfront. Montauk is a short ride away as well with lots of great waterfront activities. The B and B itself is charming and beautifully decorated with interesting antiques and very comfy beds. The en-suite bathrooms are tastefully updated and breathtakingly beautiful! We woke each morning to the wonderful aroma of fresh brewed coffee and yummy baked goods prepared by Cam. Victor prepared a delicious frittata one morning, and a fluffy Belgian waffle the next. Fresh fruit was on the table each morning as well. I highly recommend this lovely B and B if you are planning a trip to the south fork of Long Island!

This was my first stay at 434 on Main in Amagansett, and I certainly will be returning. Cam and Vic are incredibly hospitable, and the place is cozy and warm and just a short walking distance from the business area and from the beach. The breakfasts are truly wonderful (I recommend the banana bread!). And for you pet owners out there, 434 on Main is pet-friendly, too.
