Detailed Reviews
We had a one night layover in Entebbe, and Boma was a great place to stay. Its location is very close to the airport for transport, but not so close that you hear the runway noise. It has a lovely unheated pool, as well as a variety of board games available. We were a family of 3 (father and 2 adult children), and were in a triple room with 3 twin beds. As mosquitos are sometimes an issue in Uganda, our room was sprayed during evening turndown, and mosquito nets were available for all beds. As we had just come from a multi-day safari experience in tented camps, we especially appreciated the generous and readily available hot water for showers. They even provided a small jar of fresh baked cookies in the room! The food was excellent - 2 of us are vegetarians and we found all vegetarian options quite delicious (not always true in other locales). Laundry was also available at an extremely reasonable price! WiFi is available, but we found it rather unreliable in all locations. Overall, a very nice place to spend an overnight - would recommend!

We spent 3 nights here on our arrival in Entebbe while having a covid test and then on our way to trekking. It was a good location and it was comfortable enough. We didn't know about the bike rental or we would have rented bikes to ride to the botanical gardens rather than the expensive driver. Overall, it was an ok stay, the food was decent and the bird watching was very good just on the grounds.

My wife, ten year old son and I stayed at The Boma for one night as we were catching an early flight the next day and the property is near the airport. It is a cute oasis in Entebbe. Would have given five stars except the check in process took almost an hour, and our guide called the a few hours before we arrived to let them know we were almost there. Everything else was fine. We enjoyed chilling at the relaxing pool area. They have the world's smartest dog living at the property and out son LOVED playing with him. Thanks for a good stay.

We stay twice at this hotel on the way to and from seeing the Gorillas
Both times we enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. The hotel has a nice feel about it and we enjoyed having meals overlooking the pool and listening to the birds
It is also close to the airport and we used there service to take us to the airport.
The room are not the most modern and we had a couple of challenges however this did not take way out overall positive feel of this place.

I spent 11 nights staying here on a work visit. I would not have wanted to stay anywhere else in Entebbe. I had a lovely welcome and the staff were very helpful. This is a family-owned guesthouse and the attention to detail shows. The rooms are wonderful, there is a beautiful garden and pool, lovely furniture and a good swimming pool. The Boma is a green oasis in Entebbe and close to many of the main sites (Botanic gardens, boats to islands etc.) which they can book for you. The COVID testing centre was only 3 minutes walk way so it was very convenient for travelling. The airport is also close. I definitely recommend it.

I have used the Boma on several occasions when arriving in Entebbe or before leaving. The rooms are clean and mostly modern and well-equipped. The staff are welcoming and the restaurant has a good choice of food. The rates include transfers to or from the airport and I have always found them to be waiting upon my arrival.

A good start to our Uganda trip in the immediate vicinity of Entebbe airport.
A very nice guesthouse, with a pool area and a beautiful, well-kept garden. The room was equipped with air conditioning, an intact mosquito net and there was a large bathroom with warm water. Very good and tasty food, including vegetarian options. Free drinking water is always available.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Clearly recommend it.

The best place to stay in Entebbe, bar none. While this was a short stay before hitting gorilla and chimp trekking, it’s worth staying longer to get acclimated to the time zone if you’re in from the USA. Traveling east is harder- the transition is eased in a comfy and well-tended resort like the Boma. Rooms are well appointed (nice sheets, mosquito netting, coffee, tea) with a private veranda.
The restaurant is good with a selection of the freshest (and delicious) fruit. Tea is exceptional in Uganda- grown there, in some of the best soil on earth. Service is efficient and friendly.

We stayed at Boma Hotel one night at the end of our 26-day Uganda/Rwanda/Kenya safari due to its location near the airport and Mabamba Swamp Excursion. We were delighted to find this beautiful and comfortable enclave in the heart of Entebbe. The hotel and restaurant staff were professional and helpful, the guest room was comfortable, and the restaurant turned out delicious, prepared-to-order meals. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. The hotel accepts credit cards or cash (USD, euro or Ugandan shillings).
We will stay here again when visiting Entebbe.

A great place to spend a night or two before or after a Ugandan tour. Well located for a quick trip to the airport. Lovely well tended gardens with fabulous pool and great food. Try the Zanzibar inspired fish curry – its amazing! We also enjoyed a wonderful jug of sangria as we sat and shared stories in the late afternoon sun by the pool.
Comfortable, quiet, clean rooms with large shower. Friendly staff.

Yes they have that option. Email Grace at Boma and they will get you all set up!
Dear Suzanne,
Thank you very much for your inquiry, and apologies for the delayed response. We did not receive your email. Please google our website to confirm our email address (we are unable to post it on tripadvisor).
Can you please check with Eldertreks and find out who their ground operator is and please get back to me with findings?
We are fully booked on the above nights 11th and 12th January 2017, and I suspect one of the twin rooms booked could be yours - I just haven't got the detailed information about the clients' names staying with us on the above nights yet?
In the meantime I will keep checking to see if there is any information I can find from ground operators booked with us on the above nights.
I look forward to your response.
Best Regards,
Patrick.
