Just arrived back from HBC. Had a great holiday in a Superior Family Room in Block 300 on 7th floor which had amazing sunset views. Main Restaurant had an amazing selection of food with amazing service from the staff who are a credit to the hotel. Also tried the Mediterranean & Pacha restaurant for a change of scenery which were both excellent. I would also highly recommend the 12 islands boat trip. Although soft drinks are cheap alcoholic drinks are very expensive at the various bars but they do have various happy hours. My only gripe was the volume of the DJ music at night (please turn down the bass!) at the beach parties which we could still hear clearly with our bedroom doors shut beyond midnight and thankfully these aren’t on every single night otherwise it would put us off. Music selection also a little cheesy too and could do with being a bit more varied as seemed like the DJ played the same records each night. Despite this we had a lovely holiday and the hotel & beach are stunning. As far as evening entertainment goes we much preferred the various live music & also the classical orchestra on the floating pontoon which was held on our last night and rounded off our holiday beautifully.…
We came from the other side of the world and when we arrive they start telling us that most of the beaches and restaurants were just for adults, they previously know we have 3 kids. Then they have the worst system for reservations for the activities and restaurants. We were not able to get a reservation in any restaurant in all our stay, just de buffet where you don't need reservation hahaha. And the staff only answer was “you are right, we are so sorry, thanks for the feedback”. We do not recommend this hotel. The worst service ever. And it's ashamed because the place, beach and sea is beautiful. But the reservation and management staff makes you forget about where are you with their attitude and answers.
Our 6th visit and lovely to be back with Covid restrictions lifted. There are many reasons nearly every guest has been here multiple times. Beautiful setting, fantastic food, amazing staff and entertainment team. There are loads of activities for all ages, or you can choose to do nothing at all. Only gripe for us is some families allowing their kids to watch iPads and phones with the volume up loud in the restaurant, which I feel a bit mean mentioning (but it is annoying!). Apart from that, Hillside is pure joy and we will be back next year.
Hotel is hidden gem between mountains and sea. Incredible friendly staff. Food is delicious. You just have to go and see and enjoy with all senses... and you would know why you wanna be back. Only what is required - room restauration.
4th visit to the Hillside and one that was long anticipated having attempted to go for the past 3 years but Covid got in the way. We were really looking forward to it and, on arriving, it really did feel like coming home. We visited for the first time in June, rather than August, due to now having non-school age kids. Rooms - still the same as before and lovely. Always kept very clean. Had 2 times superior rooms with terrace. Beautiful views of the bay (in our last room in block 400 - more below). Food was pretty much the same amazing buffet as before. Unfortunately, probably due to Covid, whilst you could hep yourself to the salads and pastas on the left hand side of the buffet, you had to ask for table service if wanting the fish or meat bbq. This sometimes meant a delay of around 30mins and then you had to go and get your own chips, rice etc by which time your food was lukewarm. But..the choice is incredible and certainly the best I have experienced in any "all inclusive". Possibly due to the time of year, or post Covid, but there were less international guests. Previously this has made for a good mix of nationalities and we have always made friends. This time, it was 90% Turks with very small children. Most had nannies in tow as well. The kids were overall, badly behaved in the restaurant, wandering around with ice cream and dropping things and seemed unable to eat without watching a phone or iPAD which made for a rather annoying meal. Sunbeds - no issue with getting beds around 10am in the morning. Most people tended to head for the beach. Staff - very friendly and helpful in all areas. Lovely to see the lavender, iced flannels are back! Spa - tried both and got amazing treatments at both and definitely recommended. Doctor - unfortunately had to go a few times with various members of the family getting ear infections from the pool. But they are very efficient and friendly and incredibly helpful. Scuba - the team are fantastic especially Oz. Glad to see he was still there after so many years. Prices have increased but due to fuel prices. Well worth going, even if for a snorkel. The real negative for us this time around was the music. On our previous trips we have not been overly bothered by it, even Pasha. We previously have stayed in blocks 600 and 700. This time it was overwhelming. I totally get that some people like these events but seriously the volume was too high. The night we landed, having been up since 3am, Pasha was in full force. We ended up having to move rooms. But after just 2 nights in block 300, had to move again having once again not been able to sleep, In block 300, i recorded one evening of music (gosh, they love the 70s), at over 100db from our room, not even on the beach where the event was. The people attending will have definitely lost some of their hearing. Hillside, if there is just one thing I would ask you - please drop the amps. The bands were on a beach or playing by the pool to around 50 people and not playing Wembley Stadium. Small wonder the fish population in the bay was much declined. They must have fled to quieter waters. This really destroyed our overall experience of a much loved hotel and making us think twice about coming back. Please make this small change and we would love to come back! The Hillside is the most incredible hotel overall. Absolutely gorgeous.…
Wonderful! Location, food, staff, facilities 10/10. Everyone worked so hard to make our holiday memorable. It is pricey but after three years of no holidays, it was well worth it. Hillside keep doing what you are doing.
Lovely room, fab view and in-room cleaning each day did a great job. Food was plentiful and delicious. Beach, pool, facilities all excellent. Communication could be better in terms of letting people know about things like happy hour (free drinks), complimentary fruit and pastries at certain times. Felt like we were just getting the hang of things then had to come home! Quite expensive drinks and don’t expect “all inclusive” as it’s definitely more like full board. One major gripe-no iron and ironing board in the room or available on request-ridiculous! Overall really good, lovely, clean resort in a stunning location. Would return!
All the staff at this resort are fantastic, friendly and make this hotel such a great place to visit. The location and ambiance of hillside is why we still keep coming back, year after year over the past 22 years. There are Hotels with more luxurious rooms, Restaurants that serve higher quality food but Hillside does it adequately and with a real passion to please. Thanks Hillside, you are our true “Happy place” and will continue to be for many more years!
The most amazing holiday the food, accommodation, staff, facilities was the best I’ve ever experienced 20 out of 10 would recommend it in a heart beat The friendliness of the staff has left such a huge impression on me and will be back to Fethiye and Hillside hopefully in the near future Joanne Kavanagh
We're returning to the Hillside in September along with my Sister and Husband. Their going to be first time visitors and we know their going to love it, just like us. Never thought we would return to the same resort twice, but have to be honest we're beginning to lose count of how many times we've visited haha!! Never had an issue. We've travelled all over the world, but there's something magical about the Hillside. Beautiful surroundings, Lovely staff, brilliant entertainment which makes our holiday extra special. Food and facilities are all first class. I know I sound as though I'm going over the top, but you have to visit this beautiful resort, to know what I'm talking about. We've had lots of lovely and exotic holidays, but most have been fairly forgettable, but not Hillside. Don't hesitate, go for it!! ❤…
