Stayed 3 nights at this well situated guest house just on the very edge of the city center. It’s a two minute walk to everything you’ll need and it’s just that much quieter too. Had an intellectual few days with Omer as we shared global travel stories and current affairs. Rooms always clean, breakfast is the usual Turkish fare, as fresh and tasty as everywhere else in this great country. Asian food also available upon request. If you like chess, Omer is always looking for someone to share time with. Thanks so much for your hospitality! I’ve saved your location for future reference. Gorusuruz!
My husband and I stayed here 2 nights prior to starting our 27-day walk on the Lycian Way. This was a great place to launch from! Our host (Omer) had lots of helpful tips, and even helped us ship a package to the finish (Antalya) so we didn't have to carry some unnecessary items. Clean, air-conditioned, simple rooms, close to the marina. In-house restaurant with delicious food. Omer speaks excellent English.
This Is my second visit to this guest house. The host Omar, Ahmet and the team are friendly and accommodating. As a lone female traveller I felt secure and safe at all times. My check in was smooth. I was shown to my room which which had clean, white linen and lovely towels too. The room had black out curtains which is a god send for light sleepers and although the Yildrim was on the road it was very peaceful and quiet. The harbour is literally across the road and it’s close to all amenities. Breakfast is available upon request as is chai, coffee and soft drinks Lots of information for trips out if that’s your thing. There is a late check out which is great and also a place to store luggage after check out too. Ahmet is always pleased to help and is around most of the time. He is highly knowledgeable and personable and always has a smile I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. First class 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟…
Five of us stayed at the Yildirim guest house just before starting the Lycian Way Treck. The guest house was very clean and centrally located. We had delicious large breakfasts each morning with a good variety of food items. The host, Omar, who speaks English fluently, was extremely helpful in getting us set up for the Lycian Way. He had guided it a number of times and had good suggestions of where to go and what to see. He arranged the first few guest houses for the beging of the trip which turned out very nice and accommodating. He also advised good resturaunts in Fethyie and arranged a boat tour for us. Omar's parting words when we started our Treck were give me call if you have any questions or run into any problems. We highly recommend staying at his guest house.
We booked the guesthouse because of our previous excellent visit in April 2018 ( see my review). On that visit we enjoyed the hospitality from Omer and his team plus the location, cleanliness and great value of the guesthouse. So when we planned another long distance hike on the Lycian Way this year, one of our first bookings we made was at Yildirim Guesthouse. Unfortunately, due to a medical issue, I was unable to travel to Turkey and my husband had to delay his travel which meant he bypassed the first week on the Lycian Way. In our email contacts with Omer he was professional, understanding and concerned about our situation. Our friends who we had planned the walk with very much enjoyed their stay plus commented on the great vehicle pick up which Omer had organised.
