According to guide it is approx 300 years old having middle eastern architecture. The rooms are good but it lacks antique feeling. There was no Buffet system in dinner and breakfast buffet was not hot enough. The wifi doesn't reach room you have to go in lobby to excess wifi. I didnt use room service so no idea about their... This is wonderful historic place, old caravanserai in the centre of wonderful old town of Safranbolu, due to the above hotel is not very comfortable, rooms are quite small, very small bathroom, no air-condition, with open windows at night you will hear much noise sometimes, free Wi-Fi available outside of rooms, but there is a lot of place in the... The great ancient castle hotel located at the heart of tourist attraction and shopping district. It did not provide a deluxe accommodation but you could feel the living experience in the old days of those Silk Road travelers. For adventure traveller, it is a must. Food is so so...

A very beautiful and old building with lots of character. The service, the food and overall information not good at all, unfortunately or fortunately there was a wedding on which was most beautiful but the noise was like they were in your bedroom. Bedrooms tiny but very quaint, bathrooms falling apart, very low door ways very quaint but in the... More

We stayed here as part of our private tour expecting the 4 stars we had had in all the other locations. The building is lovely, centrally located and worth stopping by for a look, but otherwise steer clear. The food was terrible, dinner was well below par and included a pile of spaghetti without any sauce, not even fruit at... More

Stayed here for one night as part of a tour group. Great location in the middle of Safranbolu. The hotel is a converted caravanserai so it's full of history. Beautiful internal courtyard and the rooms are the original accommodation which was used by the travellers. Same for the dining room. So it's definitely unique and atmospheric. But the rooms are... I have traveled extensively, near and far, all across the globe, and this is by far the very worst hotel room I have ever stayed in. Starting with unlocking the door to a dark room, moving through a short doorway of less than 6 feet into a pit of darkness with an overwhelming stench of mold and dampness coming from... More

Don't get me wrong. The building is extraordinary. I visited this place for lunch, and it was the worst lunch I've ever had. The starters were outdated, there was mould on the starters, the service was awful; and unfortunately we had to leave the place. Because it was impossible to eat what was on the table. There are lots of... More

The hotel is one of the major sites of Safranbolu (tourists are charged to go into the courtyard). The staff was not very helpful when I had a flat battery the next morning- they also gave us wrong information about the opening hours of the Museum (it was closed)- they speak little English. The restaurant was good, not outstanding. The... More
