We only stayed for one night, but really enjoyed this beautiful house. The whole house was well decorated and well kept, The wood carving on ceiling was gorgeous. It was right in old town with walking distance. Yes, someone has mentioned the barking dog. It was still there and barking for a long period. Soon we got used to it....

Although we could only stay one night, it was a perfect experience and we couldn't have asked for more. We arrived later in the day, got settled quickly, and went off to explore the city. The next day, we were served a most amazing breakfast, spent the day exploring and shopping, and returned to relax until our bus departed later...

it was impossible to sleep, as both sides of the hotel had large dogs, that barked on and off throughout the night. We felt badly for the owner to have such inconsiderate neighbors. The restored Ottoman house was lovely and very near the old town.

This restored Ottoman House is set among the cobblestones streets of Safranbolu. We were welcomed by the lovely hosts and taken to our cosy room. We are in the bridal room with views to the garden below. The bed is a nice firm mattress and we are sleeping between soft Turkish Cotton sheets. The central heating of the house means...

This is an impressive 160 yr old house on a quiet but steep street of uneven cobblestones. (You might consider a taxi if arriving by bus). There's a pleasant garden and large rooms with thin walls. Apparently people in Ottoman houses had no secrets (unless they were speaking different languages.) We had a private bath but it was down the...

The lady there is very helpful and nice. We arrived Safranbolu at early morning, but there is no empty room for us to early check-in. The lady let us stay in a very specailly decorated rest room (you feel like you are back to the 18th century), and let us take a good rest, and even give us a blanket,...

The Woman that managed the hotel was very sweet and helpful. Even though she didn't speak much English she still made a great effort. We had to leave early in the morning to our next destination and she went out of her way to make sure we had something to eat before we left. Our rooms were very spacious and...

The building of the hotel is kind of government protected historic building, therefore everything is very atmospheric. Staying here can have the feeling of going back to Ottoman times, while the modern facilities are on hand. Friendly housekeeper Sevgi prepares one of the best breakfast we had for our 2-month journey in Turkey. Location is a bit off the main...
