We stayed in this home for a day and a half. We made just the right decision. The location is 5mins from the market and the rooms are gorgeous. Infact every corner of the house is so beautifully decorated I instantly fell in love. The lady there took very good care of us irrespective of knowing limited English. Loved our stay here.
A beautiful, historic wooden mansion with friendly hosts, amazing breakfasts and a perfect location. Safranbolu houses are known for their historic cupboards, and there are two in this mansion, a bath cupboard and a turning serving cupboard. I chose to stay in the master bedroom which is possibly the most beautiful room in which I have ever slept. It has access to a shared bathroom, but there are other rooms with their own bathroom if that is what you prefer. The house has (I think) eight rooms for visitors, so if you are a group you could book an entire floor or an entire house. I was very happy staying there as a solo visitor, too. The breakfasts are generous and tasty. When I came down on the first day and saw a table covered with small bowls, I thought this was part of the buffet - instead, I found that it was all for me! And that was before the fruit and a freshly cooked egg dish were brought to the table. It is a family-run hotel and they are very kind and helpful. They gave me both advice (in English) and practical help, and they were very responsive to emails while I was planning my trip. The house is very clean and comfortable and I recommend it most highly! I hope I will be able to stay there again one day.…

We only stayed for one night, but really enjoyed this beautiful house. The whole house was well decorated and well kept, The wood carving on ceiling was gorgeous. It was right in old town with walking distance. Yes, someone has mentioned the barking dog. It was still there and barking for a long period. Soon we got used to it. Another thing, the bathrooms were shared. There was only one on each floor. Fortunately, there was just another room that had guest on our floor and our friend's floor had no other guests.
Although we could only stay one night, it was a perfect experience and we couldn't have asked for more. We arrived later in the day, got settled quickly, and went off to explore the city. The next day, we were served a most amazing breakfast, spent the day exploring and shopping, and returned to relax until our bus departed later that evening.
