We stayed in ilica hotel in June with my wife and 4 year old daughter. During our stay the hotel was not overly busy which was perfect. It apparently gets busier in july, August times. It is and ideal hotel for those with kids or couples who want a relaxing holiday. There is a kids club which our daughter loved. It is well managed and entertaining for the kids. Unfortunately there is no entertainment for adults. You will have to go outside the hotel for that. The breakfast is served from 7:30am except on sundays which starts at 8am. I think this is a bit late but not a huge problem. Dinner is served from 7:30pm. Both breakfast and dinner was good. Wide selection of different tasty foods. The staff were very helpful. The girls who work in the restaurant are mainly from Bali. Their English and Turkish is very limited, but they work hard to help the guests. During our stay we had a electrical fault in our room on the 4th floor. We informed one of the supervisors Serpil Hanim who was quick to rectify this and upgrade our room free of charge. Thank you very much again Serpil Hanim. Overall all staff are good and work towards keeping the guests happy. The hotel location is also ideal. It is in between Cesme and Alacati. Both these locations are 10 minutes away by taxi or bus. They offer a wide selection of shops and restaurants to visit. The aqua park which is next to the hotel is a good day out. However the guests can only use this for free on Mondays and Thursdays. Other days you will have to pay to enter the aqua park. The beach is great with loads of sunbeds. You dont have to wake up early to reserve your sunbed with a towel. The hotel provides beach towels for free if you wanted. Pools are clean. The thermal pool is very hot 39c so be careful. Turkish bath Hamam is free to use. Spa centre is good. We had a full body massage for 30 minutes at a reasonable price. The gym is a bit small but has everything you need. The hotel is clean and well kept. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this hotel to anyone who is considering going there.

Building and the pools nice. Aqua park great. Location of the hotel is great 15 min to cesme and 10 to Alacati Beach its self is nice. Sand is soft and clean in general although lot of cigarette butts. Check in desk- depends on who is working. Hit and miss on friendliness. I went to check out paid x amount of money ( lot in Turkish currency) not even Thank You, hope you enjoyed your stay! Hotel disco - closed Indoor Thermal Pool- under construction Kids in door pool- on and off and it was like a steam room. Very uncomfortable Aqua park- only free Monday and Thursday misleading pictures of it at the main hotel site. It makes you think its part of the hotel it is not! Kids club on the beach- worst i have ever seen and we do travel a lot! Few puzzles missing parts. No air condition they sell tshirts and bags for painting activity 30 lira each! Since there is nothing else every time you go in to avoid 12-3 sun you end up spending money! Kids disco again terrible: too hot, staff dancing too fast kids cant follow hence my two dont want to go again! To avoid lunch time sun exposure unless you go in to your room! Or go for lunch at grill bar where it is expensive and most of the time they get the order wrong nothing else to do Kids mini pool by the kids club has electric wire sticking out! Poor attention to safety In door pool by the out door thermal wire leading into actual water! Breakfast- lot of choice on cheese and olives but thats it ! over all it is not 5 star hotel breakfast i have tasted. Same things whole week we stayed 10 days! Flies all over everything, cheese not on ice! General quality of the meat products are very poor! Staff working on omelette station looked tired, unhappy and certainly not friendly to customers and each other! Choice of drinks are nice I am glad we only paid for bed and breakfast! I cant imagine what dinner would look like. Grill bar- they only got one lunch order right so far! Staff new inexperience. Dont even know what Bacardi is!!! They also charging 12 lira for baby milk! So its like 260ml milk in a standard baby bottle. Cleanliness is average over all at the hotel. Before writing a review here we have contacted the whatsup line where you can raise concerns no one responded or addressed any of the issues. So pointless. They also walking around in the morning handing out opinion surveys again pointless I do not recommend this hotel to families with small children for reasons above. Main issue is the managers standards, staff looks unhappy, not motivated. Apart from above concerns location and building is great.

We stayed here for a night during June 2019 and our experience read as follows: Hard product consists from two parallel blocks facing one another leading to the pools and the sea. There is no bench around the property,no security control to whoever wants to go inside the hotel area or even inside the buildings !Absolute lack of security. All the pools and the beach are accessibly totally free.Between the hotel and the Aqua City there is a large free-access parking : entrance and exit of vehicles without any kind of checking. The main building has all the hotel`s facilities (bar ,retaurants,mini-market and the tiny standards rooms. The other ( north ) building has the superiors rooms and the suites. We had a superior room at section A , which was spacious but empty! No cofee or tea ,not even soap or towels to the bathroom. We had to call twice to the reception and go down in person to bring us.The wi Fi is fast and powerfull throughout the hotel , if and when you achieve to connect!! And now the soft product of the hotel, where the real problems begins to rise !!Front desk , first impressions : We arrived around 18.00 ,June 8 ,2019 : No greeting wellcome from the two (!) bellman standing by the main door of the hotel (which as i said before was wide open ), front desk to the right , 5 persons working (?) there ,with no guests waiting before us.The procedure of check-in slow , very slow and un-efficient.Noone spoke any other language properly than Turkish. No info about the hotel to guests who were on its first stay at their hotel.Their behavour were at the line of rudeness. When Ι asked for an info leaflet they gave us an one in Turkish!I asked again for an English one and their answer was ~~we don`n have~~!!.Just like that.No ``sorry,we don`t have it ``, just ``we don`t have it``.When I ,( the guest !! ) propose to print one from their P.C. they had a look saying something like ``o`h ,no`` !!Any way after that and after 2 visits to the front desk again (for the soap/towells and the connectivity of the wifi) we were ready for our stay.Dining at ILICA : the dining buffet was rich ,although the food had no character. The dining hours are 19.30-21.30 At 21.30 ( sharp !! ) the lights were turned off with the guests still inside ! Never and nowhere have face something like this!Usually when the closing time of dining is approaching the doors are closed and the quests who are inside the hotel`s restaurant finish their dining in a proper time and then ( after they leave) the lights are going out.But not in this hotel. And it was 21.30 not 21.50 or .55.The sound -proofing of the rooms is inadequate.Next day the breakfast was very good. The check out time was 11.00 and the checki`out procedure were also slow.Overall this is definately not a 5* star hotel , with the soft product and the lack of any kind of security needing a ( lot ) steps of improvement. P.S. to the hotels management or whoever it may concern: your best part of your staff are the Indonesian and Nepalese girls.Smiley,helpfull,quick-acting and they speak English too!Put them on your front desk/reception!

Great views and perks such as the hamam, thermal pool and beach bar cushions. Spacious room. Hotel staff at the restaurant were nice, especially the new Nepalese and Indonesian girls - they treated us very nicely, especially Mary. However, the Grill Bar staff outside near the beach were rude and inconsistent with their service. My friend and I had requested drinks to drink at the beach cushions - either a cocktail or a smoothie. The staff at the Grill Bar told us that they only have beer and orange juice available. However, we saw other people nearby with wine and smoothies. We approached the Grill Bar staff 3 times and they kept telling us no. So I went inside the restaurant and asked the bar staff to make drinks for us. They informed me that they do have drinks available and that the grill bar staff outside are meant to take our order then pass it onto the hotel bar staff to make the drinks. The Grill Bar staff made no effort in telling us this and inconvenienced us by making us walk from the beach to the hotel restaurant in our bathers just to grab a drink. The hotel bar ladies inside were fantastic and resolved this issue for us. I do not recommend the Grill Bar!! They’re rude and useless.

Thermal and kids pools are nice. Don’t expect a five star experience though. No sound isolation in rooms - we complained of noise but the front desk never got back to us. Food service is tricky because many waiters speak little to no Turkish or English (although they are very nice, with the best intentions). If you’re getting a good deal and just want a place for your kid to have fun, it’s ok.
