Selcuklu Evi is a fine example of Seljuk architecture. This antique house has been restored by hand. The local craftsmen of Urgup spent two years to complete this restoration. Each block was carried from the local area and then manually sculpted and leveled before becoming part of Selcuklu Evi. Situated in a small lane surrounded by local homes and gardens this area has panoramic views of rock hewn caves and the old village of Urgup.

For some reason in my trip I arrived to this hotel with my girlfriend and was the best experience in our Turkey trip. The manager and his family gave us a warm welcome with a nice food and comfortable room. Here you can feel a really experience how a Turkey family lives mixed mysterious of the Cappadocia place. Very recommend! 😊 Thanks Halil!

We stayed in this Evi for 3 nights n checked into garden_suite. Fast WiFi n modern comfort in authentic cave house. It’s an amazing suite with 3 sections. Living room, bedroom n bathroom with jacuzzi. Very comfortable. Great breakfast with hot n freshly cook egg station. Friendly, accommodating staff n owner. Close walking distance to great restaurants like Ziggy, Legarto n Prokopi too.

The best place during my entire Turkey trip.. though there was no lift they helped us to take the luggage by the side ramp. It is a boutique Hotel with nicely made interior but the room size was a little small daily lighting was good but night time we were forced to use our torch .. camera flash for packing breakfast buffet was excellent.. the managing person was very friendly

We were booked into this boutique hotel by Smart Turkey Tours, who organised our trip for us. It is like a little oasis in Urgup, uphill from the centre of town. A moderate walk outside the hotel will take you to the top of the hill, with views all around. The hotel itself is well laid out; the garden is beautiful, and the rooms have real character (we were in the honeymoon suite, so we may be prejudiced!). We didn't dine or lunch in the hotel, but the buffet breakfast was as good as we met in Turkey. We asked for a fruit platter on room service, and were not disappointed. There were a very noisy couple of half-hours one evening when a coachload of Chinese arrived, checked in at the tops of their voices, left for dinner, and returned without discovering their volume controls. Aside from that, we had a very peaceful and enjoyable stay. I endorse the tributes to Mr. Halil; a lovely man.
