We recently visited Kayakapi Premium Cave Hotel, what an amazing experience with the venue, service & food at the highest level and quality. The only way to describe this unforgettable experience is that it was "A little piece of paradise". Thank u for sharing this beautiful memories with us!
Unparalleled service!! Starting weeks before our arrival, guest relations answered our many, many questions and helped us to arrange some amazing excursions! Everything was so personalized. They even arranged for a lab person to come to our room to do our pre-departure covid testing, and hand deliver the results 2 hours later, (necessary for return to USA during pandemic). The guest rooms are caves built into huge rock formations, very unique and also very luxurious! They’ve won all sorts of well deserved awards! The staff were exemplary! They were always available to help, yet never overbearing. They are your advocate if you have any issues. They are your travel agent and advisor- just can’t say enough about how accommodating they were!! Thanks again Kayakapia!!
This is an amazing place to stay if you are looking for a place to simply relax and leave the hectic day to day life behind. We were a family of 7 and stayed at Suite 308. Suite was absolutely amazing!!! Suite 308 has 3 separate larger units within its compound. Suite 308 has a private living room / dining room in the upstairs unit with a music system and projector, two private indoor / out door swimming pools (our kids loved them!), sauna, courtyard with additional out door dining place / swing & garden, fireplace, beautiful views of the valey below with hot air ballons passing by daily in the AM. Furnishings take you back in time - rotary phones etc. It was such a large suite, that we ended up just locking the main door gate rather than locking up each unit's multiple doors - a single quaint key operated all locks. Felt pretty safe despite secluded area. Short walk to restaurant for daily breakfast (good selection - can order omelettes etc separately if you dont like the buffet). A ways off from the town below - will need a taxi to visit. There might be a shuttle but did no use it. Besides doing a hot air baloon ride we did not see the need to leave the suite as it was so relaxing. Can take nice walks along the hilly winding cobble stone roads and savor the fresh morning air, beautiful views of the vistas and roadside gardens. We used golf carts provided by hotel for our elderly parents. The price was worth the relaxation our family needed after a long flight to get our Turkey vacation started. Will recommended flying into NAV airport than to ASR airport as NAV is closer (30 min vs 1 hour). Also recommend booking well in advance as it is a popular high end place to stay. A must stay place!…
Overall, great experience. We had difficulty booking online through the hotel's website with an American credit card, but the hotel staff was extremely helpful (including whatsapp messaging me) to get it sorted out. Area (Urgup) - just outside of the national park, a bit further away from the tourism epicenter (Goreme). We didn't explore the town, but it was nice to be a bit off of the beaten path - away from flashing LED signs and swarms of other tourists. The hotel overlooks the town of Urgup with mountains in the background. Property - stunning, unique and rare historical stay inside of cave homes; very well situated in the hillside with beautiful landscaping (think smelling of the roses and honeysuckle as you open your door). Extremely unique. Extremely well restored. Room - every room is unique and named after the family that used to own the cave as their home. The hotel was helpful in allowing me to choose which room I preferred. The room itself was very spacious and well-equipped. The rooms are caves, so you can expect they will be dark. However they are very well lit, and a nice contrast to the hot Cappadocia days. The bathroom was well stocked, the bed comfortable, and the daily turndown was excelelnt. Food - Maide (the main pool-side restaurant) probably intends to cater to a wide audience, and therefore didn't hit the mark anywhere... but certain dishes are good (especially local cuisine). I was pleasantly surprised that an afternoon glass of local wine by the pool was accompanied by a beautiful cheese and fruit spread, free of charge. Revithia (the more upscale dinner restaurant) was an 8-course tasting menu that celebrated the Red River (local to Cappadocia) with wine-pairing and a unique story behind each dish that also celebrated the area's rich cultural identities (Ottoman, Greek, etc.). The hotel concierge was kind of enough to fit us in for a last-minute reservation upon our arrival. Amenities - the property is amenity-rich, especially for its current size (approx 45 rooms). Hammam, Sauna, pool, fitness room, lounges, etc. We used the sauna on our first day when it was raining outside. Concierge - the hotel booked everything for us, from an airport shuttle to private tours of the area, horse riding, a hot air balloon ride and meals. So extremely helpful, and special thanks to our guide, Zeki, who works with the hotel's sister travel company.…
We had an excellent experience at Kayakapi. The rooms were wonderful, had a great mix of nostalgia (rotary phones that worked, a hammam style shower room) and modern amenities. The room came with a beautiful welcome basket of fresh and dried fruits and a great local wine. The service was excellent. The Turkish style breakfast buffet was one of the best I've had, and the staff were friendly.
Our 3-night stay at Kayakapi was superb, thanks for their friendly staff and excellent rooms! The moment we arrived, Mr Abdulrahman from the reception showed us around and brought us to our room. Special shout-out to him for his courtesy and professionalism. We took one of the family rooms. Needless to say, the room was amazing, the extra bed was already there (as requested), the hamaam was so spacious (our kids Love it so much!), and the view from our private terrace was something else! The only downside, in our opinion, is that their can be a bit better in terms of the taste. Otherwise, extremely happy and satisfied. Special thanks to Ms Nihal who offered her help to receive a package delivery for me and keep it safe until the day of my arrival. That certainly made things easier for us!…
Just returned from a fantastic 5 night stay in Cappadocia with our family of 4 kids and we were so glad we chose Kayakapi. A renovated cave village perched on a hill, with wonderful views overlooking Urgup and the Rose valley, the cave rooms were actually village houses all with its own individual charm. Our “house” was perfect, with a living room and lots of space, including a private terrace. The tours and balloon flight booked by the efficient Nihal were all excellent, and the hotel had all the amenities we needed- 2 restaurants, pool, spa (my daughter and I had a great hamam massage!), good laundry and super service by the team. Really happy we chose this hotel away from the touristy towns. Would definitely stay here again!
We loved staying in a beautiful cave suite. My kids loved the small, indoor pool. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed the delicious room service and daily, included breakfast with beautiful views. The rooms were spacious. I would say my only complaint was that they were a little dark, but you're in an actual cave. And the wifi was a little spotty but they came and fixed a problem right away. I would definitely recommend Kayakapi for a memorable stay.
A fantastic experience all round. The hotel location. Just stunning overlooking the valley. The staff, Abd Rahman , Ertugrul and Nihal were top class and made the visit most memorable.Nothing was too much.Every request was handled with professionalism and courtesy.A standout experience. The pool terrace restaurant is a great place to dine with great food excellent options and the most delightful service.Highly recommended.
Family of seven, we stayed in two adjacent premium "caves." The views, the service, the unique and well-appointed setting, the food - everything was top-notch. Staff helped arrange a day tour, massages on-site, travel into town, horseback excursion. A great place to base from to experience a jewel of Turkish tourism and history.
