Exedra hotel has well-designed rooms, but some of them may not have enough air conditioning. Personnel is very kind. Very clean hotel. The terrace has a beautiful view of Ortahisar. Hotel is near activities like off-road riding.
Other than the great restaurant recommendation this place was all disappointments. We were upgraded from our standard room to a larger room - hooray we thought. The room was quite a bit warm but figuring the “cave atmosphere” would kick in we headed to dinner. Upon return, the room was hot. Called reception as I could not figure out the AC only to be told the room DID NOT HAVE AC! They said it would cool down as the night went on - WRONG. I like warm weather and can sleep just about anywhere etc. I slept 1 hour collectively this night. It was horrendous. The room was completely suffocating (and yes, hot). I’ve stayed in Cave hotels before and yes, they are naturally cool. This one for sure was NOT. And to advertise AC but not include it for all rooms (much less warn of its non-existence) is false advertising (especially when temps reach near 100). The lack of sleep made all the worse because we had to be ready to go by 4:30 am for our balloon ride. It was awful having to come back, cut into our day to repack our things to move rooms. We requested an immediate room change or planned to leave. Honestly, I wish we would have just left. They gave us a room some 3 floors down from the entrance so had to climb many steps to go anywhere. The room had an ok functioning AC which was certainly better than nothing. Breakfast was pretty sad and slow service. It seemed they were just getting back up and running due to COVID. I guess our experience here was so poor that we switched our flights out, but mistakenly left a day early (I blame sleep deprivation) and receptionist didn’t even notice or advise us of our early departure! When we got back in touch with Meta - who had been extremely hospitable to us despite all the setbacks - he said it’s our responsibility to check our itinerary. Sealed the experience here as a total thumbs down. LOCATION: Ürgüp is quiet and far from mostly anything. We ended up renting a car to get around (hotel helped with that which was nice). Red Valley is really close (10 min drive) so that was nice to visit to see the sunset. However, starting the Rose Valley hike on this end (in reverse order) was not ideal (cafes closed etc). There is a nearby “center” but lackluster - not somewhere you’d wander to eat vs grabbing some water and necessities. Would not recommend this hotel. The area was also not ideal. …
Excellent staff, Great view, ashes of the history. I had only one problem which is fresco restaurant. İn this quality hotel, ı expected much better taste from dishes but wasn't good and too salty. The rest was awesome!!
Me& my family went to Exedra hotel in Cappadocia and the experience in there is unforgettable, it was amazing staying in there! And the people who were serving us in there were Best people ever! We actually made new friends in there with them! And the friendship goes on! They were amazingly nice people! Especially Ferzan &her friend Aleyna! We love you guys and we had so much fun at your Hotel ..
We stayed here for three nights. The rooms are beautiful, each room different from the other. The view is amazing and the food is really good. The rooftop restaurant had live music at night when we were there and it was lovely.
