Hezen Cave Hotel is an unique design cave hotel located in Cappadocia, Turkey. This exceptional old house of cave bedrooms was fully renovated and refurbished to the highest standard and comfort. Located in a very central village in Cappadocia, our hotel has a magnificent view, overseeing the Ortahisar castle and old town. Hezen Cave hotel is ideal for guests willing to spent some charming moments in Cappadocia, resting in this quite location. Originally Hezen was an old Orthodox Greek house with rooms build in the original rock of Cappadocia. We have kept the original structure of the cave rooms and re-decorated the interior with an unique style and colorful trait of character. Our cave hotel is designed by considering ideal contemporary comfort as well as the feeling of being at home. All rooms are in cave and each have a unique design and charm.

I couldn’t recommend Hezen Cave Hotel, a four-star hotel in Ortahisar, Türkiye, highly enough. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views over the town of Ürgüp. The traditional Cave rooms are built into the hill, and have individualized Turkish personality and color. The hotel has a warm, comfortable, and stylish feel. It's a laid-back place where you don't need to dress up to eat and the hotel has a free laundry room (but, since what little labeling there was, was in Turkish, the machines were a bit challenging to use – but the hotel supplied tutoring). Rooms: The rooms are well-kept and artistically decorated. The toilets have radiant-heated floors, the showers closely resemble traditional hammams (but without the steam, the rooms are full of LED spot-lit nooks full of antiques. The property is designed to give a cozy feeling while staying in the caves and the staff is obsequious in its attention to serving you. The hotel provided an excellent varied and fresh buffet breakfast (included in the rate) and a heart and delicious ala carte dinner menu (at a reasonable extra cost). Now the other news: the hotel is built on multiple levels out of stone buildings dating back hundreds of years and more resembles a medieval stone European town than a single structure. Especially if you have knee or hip issues, the current town of the locations of some of the rooms in this hotel are more for mountain goats than for you. An example of a room to avoid is suite #15 – while the suite is huge and the décor worthy of an interior decorating magazine, it is down multiple flights of stone steps and has multiple levels within the suite itself. On the other hand, suite #13, while smaller, is equally ornate, on the same level as the restaurant and does not have interior stairs. Also, there is little likelihood that you will see hot-air balloons in this neck of the woods. But it was the above and beyond service from every single staff member that made the biggest difference. The hotel is excellent with a very clean environment and friendly management. When welcomed we were given a thorough outline of the areas unique landscape and history, and genuine recommendations of where to eat and what to see. By far one the best boutique hotels I’ve experienced in a long time.

Hotel's Favorite
The Hezen Cave Hotel was our first introduction to Turkish hospitality. We were so warmly welcomed into the lobby where we had tea and were invited to sit and chat. As a bit soccer fan, I was happy to discuss my favorite teams in Europe and learn about those in Turkey. After our tea, we went to our room-- these rooms are incredible. We were able to get an upgrade to the Suite and it's enormous... there is no sense of claustrophobia being in a cave. It's a giant room that just happens to be... well.... in a cave. :o) The bed was comfy and at the back of the room. The bathroom was large. The shower room was humongous and water pressure was great. In the morning, it seemed like the floor was heated in the bathroom and shower room, which was a nice touch, though we were plenty warm in the room. Of course, the best part of the room is the view of Ortahisar castle which is right outside the window (see pics). It feels like you've stepped back in time and the room decorations made us feel like we were some sort of medieval royalty. Well, except we also had WiFi. Breakfast was also super delicious and again provided views of the castle. Oh, and having an onsite self use laundry was super useful-- we were able to wash our clothes! I can't say enough about Mehmet and Cem who welcomed us and provided such a great experience for my wife and I. I will definitely recommend friends to visit-- the only thing I wish is that we had more time to explore the area around the hotel and spend more nights in this fantasy location. Thank you!!!

I am a travel advisor and brought a small group to the hotel four nights. The rooms are charming and spacious. The entire staff is accommodating, kind and incredibly helpful. All of the groups needs were met, from arranging transportation, assisting with laundry cleaning, setting up balloon rides, horseback riding and so much more. They even made me a birthday cake, which was delicious:) I look forward to sending other clients to this gem!

We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. The view is absolutely fantastic. The staff was very friendly and very helpful and they organized all the tours and the hot air balloons for us. Special thanks to Mehmet and Cem who made our stay an unforgettable one. The staff in the kitchen was amazing too and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you travel to Cappadocia. We stayed in the biggest suite and it was very clean and decorated with amazing taste..

I can confidently say this was the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff was extremely warm and friendly, always ready to help with recommendations of places to visit, help organising transport, and ready for a friendly chat about our day (there was someone available 24 hours a day in reception). They organised a reliable and safe pick-up and drop-off to teh airport for us too. The cave room was so very comfortable, extremely clean, and offered an amazing experience of staying in a room carved out of a cave. Genuinely breath-taking. The bathrooms even had their own mini hamman and showers were lovely! The breakfasts were delicious and tea/drinks were always available in the evenings. It is a perfect location for exploring the region with so many wonderful sights to see, restaurants and bars to explore, and, lovely people to meet. Cannot recommend the hotel strongly enough. It was ideal for a family stay, but lots of couples staying there too.

What an incredible experience at the Hezen Cave Hotel. Mehmet, Leila and the rest of the staff were amazing. They make you feel like family. When we arrived we were seated in the lobby which was more like their lounge in their home and then they had a chat with us on what our plans where and what we know about Cappadocia, gave us tea and cookies while we chatted. We were a family of 11 and Mehmet accommodated all my requests. We decided to do the ATV Rides and The Turkish Night. Mehmet arranged everything for us at such reasonable prices. The breakfast was great, on our departure we were leaving quite early in the morning so we would have missed breakfast but the staff packed us breakfast packs. This is definitely as hotel i would recommend to stay in when travelling to Cappadocia. Also a must to get up early to view the Hot Air Balloons flying over the hotel.

The Hezen cave hotel is an incredible hotel. Staff members are all really nice and helpful. As soon as we arrived to the hotel, member who worked there started to give us some tips on what to do in Cappadocia it was incredible. There was just 1 thing that I didn’t like, the cats. There were a lot of cats which made me feel uncomfortable. The bedrooms are fantastic and really comfortable. Overall the hezen cave hotel was great.

A wonderful small hotel with beautiful views. Many places to sit and enjoy the view with some wine. It is a short walk to town, 10 minutes, to where there are restaurants and stores. The hotel staff was fantastic as was the breakfast. Highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights mid October 2022 A fantastic smaller hotel. The staff are lovely and helpful. Nothing was to much for them to arrange on our stay The room we stayed on was stunning with its own hamman and the view of the Ortahisar castle was straight out our window. 10/10 cleanliness , hospitality , scenery. Gokhan the manager is lovely and helpful along with Berlin front desk. The hotel is in a very quiet area and does not have the hustle and bustle of Goreme which was perfect for us. We took a taxi there for dinner and it is also 6 km to Urgup which is a little bigger and a nice town to walk around We had a lovely spa arranged in the Exedra Hotel ( Hezen does not have but very happy to arrange ) Our ballon trip starting point was only a 10 min drive at most. I booked through Get My Guide and we had Turkiye Balloons To look at the balloons early morning you will need to walk up the road for only 5 min. I thoroughly recommend this hotel. We definitely will be back.

Hezen is a jewel amongst the caves! I had explored a lot of hotels in capadocia before booking hezen cave hotel. And i fell in love at first sight! As always is the case, we were hoping that it would be as good as it appeared... We walked in very late and tired from our long journey from home and just walking in to hezen was all worthwhile. Even though it was pretty late, Mr. Mehmet offered to make us some food and we sat on this beautiful sit out enjoying this meal which we did not want to end. It was beautiful. As we walked into our suites... It was another delight. The room and the ambience inside and outside were just breathtaking. And we hadn't even started with our sight seeing! We actually stayed up enjoying this forgetting how tired we were. I don't think we had enough of being in the hotel for the two days we stayed there. We certainly want to return to cappadoccia for several reasons but the greatest reason would be to stay at hezen cave hotel and not move out at all! The little niches through the entire hotel where you can sit and enjoy the sites were amazing. The service was great. Food was delectable. The staff was so helpful. An experience we can never forget. Thanks to each and everyone at the hezen. Mr. Mehmet and Mahmood. Also Oarnush whose name we couldn't pronounce. Hope to see you again!
