We loved Hisar Evi. I travelled with my partner Krys. It's situated away from the centers of the tourist towns overlooking a small local village, so it is quiet and provides a great setting to sit down and relax after full days of touring in the area. There is a mellow common area overlooking the town where the guests congregate...

We arrived full of expectation and excitment about staying in a "cave-like" hotel and if others are like this I would never choose to stay in one again. We were given a room at the very bottom (probably the worst room as other travellers expressed better conditions) in which there is no lift , no view of anything and many...

At first impression and experience, the owner was very friendly and always exhibiting concern and care throughout. He showed us a beautiful family room, informed us that hot water came on after 4pm, asked what we would like to do, drove us to another family owned hotel with a pool to swim (I paid a reasonable fee for drinks), asked...

Our stay at Hisar evi was part of a package tour arranged by a travel agent in Istanbul. The main part of the hotel opens on to a lovely stone terrace which overlooks the castle and the village. The cave rooms are situated below and are simply fun to be in. One feels a bit like Fred and Wilma Flintstone...

I had a peaceful and restful experience @ the Hisar Evi. Ismail the owner was respectful, kind and generous. The rooms were clean and well kept. The soup @ dinner was unmatched, followed by thoughtful meals created by a caring staff. I'm from NYC, so I can be a hotel snob and was initially skeptical about staying in a "cave"....

My partner and I recently stayed Hisarevi Cave House as part of our trip to Cappadocia. The stay was organized by a travel agent in Istanbul. We have nothing but positive words to say about our time there. Ismail was friendly, organized and helpful. The Hotel had magnificent views, was clean and quiet. Yes, it was a little isolated but...
