I just came back from my trip to Turkey and I was blown away by the Turkish hospitality in both hotels. I stayed in. Vista Cave felt like home away from home. Perfect location, great breakfast and views and the owners go above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and enjoy Cappadocia to the max; from arranging tours to making reservations and even arranging food to be delivered to our room in Coronavirus times. I'm definitely staying here again if I find myself in Cappadocia and will/am recommending it to everyone!

This hotel was hands on the best experience. The owner was so helpful, he had great recommendations and helped us figure out the best use of our limited time, he basically created a custom itinerary for us. The cave room was an amazing experience the bed was so comfortable the room was so clean. The terrace view was beautiful for watching hot air balloons and for the lovely breakfast that the hotel provides. Me and my husband are very pleased thank you for making our first time in Kapadokya an amazing experience!

Wow! What an extraordinary hotel. English speaking owners who were so friendly and were amazing at helping us with our needs. Extremely knowledgeable about the area. The rooms, the food, the service was wonderful. Highly recommended and can’t wait to go back in a couple of years.

So I had booked this place months in advance before my arrival and it was clearly mentioned that "no" prepayment would be required. However they did take the cc details. To my misfortune my wallet got stolen the day I landed in Turkey and got my cards blocked. So when the owner swiped my card ( before my arrival) it did not work and he cancelled my booking one day prior to my visit to Goreme. When I called him to explain the situation he said " its not my problem that your wallet got stolen and it's my hotel and my rules. There are 250 hotels you go book any why my hotel". Well yes sir sure it's not your problem but unfortunately you are in the hospitality business and are expected to speak properly at all times and the you spoke was not even basic. Also if you do charge us before arrival please mention the same so that we know what to expect. I even wrote a mail saying I will pay the full amount at the time of check in but then to that he says he already gave my room to someone else and now the rooms available are double the price and he can only give me that. Some cheap tactics I say. I regret wasting my time over this hotel.

Thank you, we are glad of the opportunity to clarify this matter. According to Booking.com policy vendors are entitled to charge a guests's credit card for a pre-authorisation of funds or full payment in the last 7 days prior to the guest's arrival. We were unable to do this as your credit card was deemed invalid by the system. We tried to make contact several times and were unsuccessful and so, in this case, the next step is to cancel the booking whereby Booking.com sends the guest a message to inform them that their booking will be cancelled, after which the guest has 23 hours to rectify the problem. We didn't receive any word from you until after your booking was AUTOMATICALLY CANCELLED by Booking.com as the 23 hour window had passed, after which time the room in question goes back onto the system as vacant. These are actually Booking.com's rules, not ours. When you eventually called the hotel and were very abusive and aggressive in your manner you were told that we are not privy to the fact that your card was stolen, only that it was invalid. If you had called us and let us know what was happening prior to your room being automatically cancelled, we could have found a solution. As it was, your room was booked by someone else using Booking.com (we didn't "give" your room to someone else!) and we offered you the only available room at a cheaper rate explaining that this was our only option but that if this wasn't suitable that there were 250 other hotels in Göreme, that you weren't stuck with one option. We hope that this explanation of the rules of the booking site will be helpful to you in the future. We wish you well in your further travels.
