Sultan Cave Suites has garnered acclaim for its attentive service and prime location, which offers stunning views of hot air balloons, according to many guests. The hotel's amenities, including a striking terrace and a delectable breakfast, frequently receive praise. Despite its beauty and unique cave-themed ambiance, some guests feel the pricing is steep and have encountered issues with aggressive tour sales and room cleanliness. The charming decor of the rooms is a highlight, though natural lighting can vary.

After doing some research we decided to stay at Sultan Cave Suites hoping to enjoy their hospitality and amazing views of Goreme and the hot air balloons, it did not disappoint!
We stayed in the Pasha suite, big and spacious with a cute balcony and amazing views.
We hotel staff were lovely, attentive and helpful at all times. Always available to answer our queries.
One of the nights we had dinner at the Seten restaurant, the food was really nice.
Every morning they set up their beautiful and famous terrace with a lovely breakfast ready for the guests to enjoy the hot air balloon ‘show’ and take incredible pictures! Only hotel guests are allowed into the terrace at this time of the day, and even though there was quite a few people, it was easy to get amazing pictures. Usually people take turns, specially at the breakfast set, others just sit and enjoy the view.
There was also a hotel staff who was really lovely ( sorry I forgot the name), he offered to take photos of the guests, and let me tell you he is an amazing photographer!
There are also some little friends in the hotel terrace, so if you like dogs and cats, I’m sure you will come across some around.
It was an overall lovely stay and experience and would definitely stay here again!

This hotel is a fairytale. It took me a lot of time to pick our place for Capadoccia but I can tell you that with this you can’t go wrong. Also, you can check their Instagram page which has several thousands followers. The place itself is stunning, the view from the terraces breathtaking.
It is located in the most popular place, Gorem, close distance to any attraction, and restaurant (if you want to experience something out of the hotel). The room is carved in the rock, like a real cave, and it is well kept (I like the amenities and the attention to details as well).
The food at Seten was so tasty and fresh. The chef truly stands out! We tried the mixed appetizers (Muhammara was my absolute favourite), Mante, shrimps, and mixed vegetables. Also, despite I am not a dessert person, I loved the Tahini dessert (I got it 2 times during my stay).
However, in regards to the service, I have to express mixed feelings.
A big thank you goes to Onour in reception.
He really made us feel at ease and took care of us since the start. He saw that we were troubled for the pcr test and he spent quite some time with us to figure it out. He was very patient, friendly, helpful, and supportive.
The restaurant is the place where the service really needs a big improvement. Indeed, we faced several uncomfortable moments there. (It’s truly a pity for the wonderful design, and food).
Last night, we went for dinner there. We were feeling cold and we expressed it but no effort was done to offer a table inside (there were 2 empty tables but they answered that it was full). It was 10:00 pm and we were rushed to order from appetizer to dessert (and I am fine with that) but worst is that while we received the main courses and we were working on the appetizers, they served a hot dessert. My disappointed did not improve the situation as the guy who served us answered quite impolitely that they did not have an oven to keep it warm and they absolutely had to serve it (there was also gelato on top so I’m not sure what he expects). When we asked the same guy to warm up the bread, the answer was the same: “but we don’t have an oven”.
This morning they served us breakfast and all the plates were covered with plastic (about 12 small tapas). And before leaving, we asked for a dessert at 3:25, specifying that we were having a shuttle bus to the airport at 3:40 and they didn’t serve us until 3:42 when we decided to stand.
Despite the lateness, we had to pay the bill.
A lot of things should be fixed and the staff should be more educated towards these details which make the difference.

One of the loveliest places I have stayed to date, picture-perfect setting with views across Goreme, our room was large and airy and beautifully decorated. The staff are helpful and efficient. A traditional and plentiful Turkish Breakfast is served on the roof terrace with your choice of eggs and tasty Turkish tea. We organised our balloon trip here too and it was very slick and we like to think we got the best pilot and balloon!

The location is great too with everything within easy walking distance. I look forward to revisiting Cappadocia and we would definitely choose this hotel again.

Ever since my first hot air balloon ride in Mexico last year, Cappadocia had been in mind. So when our holiday plans to Santorini fell through last month, I decided to book Cappadocia.

Cappadoccia is a photographers' dream in my opinion and Sultan Cave Suites was on top of the list for getting mesmerising photos of balloons going up at sunrise.

I booked Sultan Cave Suites' Junior suite for 2 nights and my sole purpose was to get those photos. Our shuttle picked us up from the airport on time and when we arrived we had a wonderful welcome by the lovely Gizem at the front desk. As in all the other hotels in the area, our temperatures were taken during the check in. While we waited for our room to be ready, we spent some time by their small pool which they share with the hotel next door. All we had to do was order our drinks by calling the bar and they were delivered to us in no time.

The views from their various terraces are to die for whether it is during the sunrise, sunset, day or night. Only the hotel guests were allowed on the balcony in the morning to watch the balloons going up. Yes, it was hard to get photos avoiding others as some of the guests were very selfish and won't move from the corner of the balcony, and I assume most of them must be social media influencers or travel bloggers, but it was worth it. The Junior Suite we stayed was beautiful and very spacious.

We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast at Seten restaurant, but their dinner kind of let us down. Their only vegetarian main option Pasta was too cheesy and tasteless .I loved the starter made with zucchini flower and wish I ordered another one of those instead of pasta. I am aware that the restaurant is not part of the hotel, but felt that it needs to be addressed if they are going to promote it to their guests.

Goreme town center is only under 10 minutes walk from here and you can find gift shops, restaurants and travel agencies there. Although we didn't book any, the hotel does offer to arrange tours and hot air balloon rides for the guests.

Gizem, arranged us to be picked up by a shared taxi from the airport and even offered to take us to our next hotel in her car.

We stayed here2 nights in Sultan Suite which is their top accommodation. Room and jacuzzi very specious with large windows.
We booked this hotel because this hotel surfaced on internet for its terrace photo opportunity with balloons on the background. It is popular on instagram. But also keep it mind, this place gets crowded, you will find too many people occupying terrace photo spots. If you have travel experience, you already know there are some people who don’t care of surrounds and other people. I would suggest hotel to manage people on the terrace, taking photos should take 2/3 minutes.
Anyway, for the price and location, the hotel offers its best. Its bit rustic, room furniture and decor heavily used, hotel has the opportunity to improve breakfast quality and service.

My fiancé and I stayed at Sultan for 3 nights. We had the junior suite which was plenty of room. We travel a good amount and this is one of my favorite places we’ve stayed. Staff was super nice and accommodating. One of the women there helped me rent a beautiful long dress from their sister hotel for our engagement photos. I couldn’t upload our photos to my Mac so Eren let us use the hotel’s computer to add the photos to our google drive. (He had an awesome personality and spoke great English too!)

The hotel itself is uniquely decorated and super cute. So many areas to sit and relax with great views. The live music at night was great, we left our windows open at night to fall asleep to the music. We did have some issues with WiFi, more so my fiancé then me (he kept getting kicked off) but in general it still worked.

They were easy to book tours through. We used their service to book our balloons which is a must do. (We saw a couple that even booked a photographer for 150 euros through the hotel whereas we paid 250 euros for ours)

Only guest can see the balloons at sunrise which is nice so it won’t be too crowded. They have a large fake meal set out on the terrace to let people take their Instagram photos with.

Dear Bwillcock, First of all thank you very much for taking the time to review your stay at Sultan Cave Suites, it is really important for us! It is amazing to know we've been one of your favourite places over all your travels around the globe, that is great indeed. We are always trying to offer the best experience while here and we thank you for your kind words towards our staff, we are glad that they helped making your stay even better. Delighted to hear that you also tried and liked our restaurant and you hear the live music from our terrace. We can even send you some tracks to make your sleep better back home :) Regarding the wifi, we know it is one of the weakest points and we keep working on it as it is difficult to have good signal with the caves and stones around the area. We will keep trying our best to make it better. I hope that the photos turned out great and you will have nice memories of Cappadocia. Best, Sultan Cave Suites Team

We stayed in the Sultan suite, overall experience was good. Checkin & check out was fast, staffs were friendly. The suite was spacious & nice, specially large window & the city view. Rooms were clean & bed was comfortable. Only problem, the suite is underneath the terrace, so when children were running in the terrace after 10pm, we had trouble sleeping and next morning we had the balloon ride. They provided plenty of amenities, water bottles, coffee & tea. We had breakfast, lunch & dinner at their SETEN ANATOLIAN RESTAURANT. Lunch & dinner was very good, quality food, delicious & service was good. Complementary breakfast was a disappointment specially when compared with other hotels we stayed in Cappadocia region. It was super busy during breakfast & not many staffs were working, had to wait more than 20 minutes for bread basket, then another 15 mins for coffee. One waiter was not wearing mask. The terrace setup is very nice, we enjoyed the terrace in the afternoon when there were few people. In the early morning this small terrace was very crowded, as everyone came to see the balloons from the terrace. The balloon ride was cancelled during our stay, so we couldn’t watch. The overall experience was good, it was not wow experience. I felt this hotel is overrated.

The hotel gives you a beautiful suite, which has its own fireplace and balcony. The view of the whole city is amazingly beautiful from the hotel itself.
The location is again perfect for the tourists, from organising your airport transfer, tours to private guides or activities, the hotel is perfect amd super punctual at everything.
The breakfast is excellent, amd the staff is super helpful.

Thanks a lot for making this stay sooo memorable.

We were delighted to stay at Sultan Cave Suites. The room was exactly what we expected, very good sized bathroom, and the location in the city was perfect with phenomenal views.

We booked 4 days in Cappadocia in case our balloon ride was cancelled the first day. They were cancelled 3 days in a row (one of the days was the day before we arrived) and we were worried we wouldn’t have the experience. Sarab and the staff did their best to get us on a balloon and they successfully did on the day before we checked out. We sincerely appreciate everything they did to accommodate us in the hotel and in the city.

The breakfast was great. We also would like to recognize one of the waiters (we didn’t get his name) but he was speaking to us in Farsi and was so nice and welcomed us every morning.

Thank you Sultan Cave Suites for a pleasurable experience.

A new experience: the cave room!! Very beautiful and clean!

Staff a bit careless: before making the booking I talked on whatsapp for a specific room and they told me it is free. I made the reservation and I wrote in the notes, the room number. When I arrived at the hotel, they gave me another room, telling me that what I was talking about room is not valid because that room is not free.

The hotel terrace is a dream, both in the morning and in the night!!

Good food at the restaurant, and very rich and tasty breakfast!!

Even if I didn't get exactly the room I wanted, I liked very much Sultan Cave and I will come back here!!! Recommended!

Hello... my wife and I stayed at the hotel for 4 days.. clothing is very casual. Nothing fancy. The hotel is in an excellent location, walking distance to the centre of town - it is a uphill hike to the national park but taxis are close by and only a couple dollars. The nationalpart with the caves is a great place to go, wanedering around town and poking into the small shops is great and there is a fantasitc pottery shop on the main stree - Baru... wonderful pottery, plates, etc, and not expensive... there are the baloon rides if the wind is not blowing and a number of other attractions that the hotel can readily disscuss with you.. they are so helpful. And don't forget to have dinner in the hotel restaurant.. excellent food and there are a number of other superb restaurants in the centre of town. Look on tip advisor for recomendations... but clothing, even at night.. super casual..... have fun...

Dear 86manish, Thank you for contacting us regarding the rooms. Is it well known that the most famous place to see the balloons in the morning is our terrace but also we have several rooms with private balcony or terrace and a fireplace where you will be able to enjoy the views and the balloons in the morning or the town view during the day. Not all rooms have the same amenities and all rooms are different. I highly recommend you to take a look at our website on rooms Suite 309, Pasha Suite 311 and Sultan Suite 314 for example and check all the amenities that they offer. All of this options offer room with fireplace and balcony or terrace or a wide view. It will be a pleasure to show you and explain you any details and doubts that you may have and know that the hotel has been reformed earlier this year, rooms, common areas and restaurant. You can always contact us directly through the mail contact shown in our website Best regards, Federico Torres

Hello Jessica, Actually you can enjoy the balloons flights views from all of the hotel terraces, but the most famous pictures are always taken from our main rooftop terrace decorated with turkish carpets. Outside the hotel, you can visit different spots that are located in the main valleys surrounding Goreme, such us Rose Valley, Red Valley or Love valley. You can check the most recommended places at the hotel front-desk. Best Regards
