Great wee family run hotel right in the Center of goreme we arrived late due to a delay with our flight from Istanbul & a car hire issue, but we were greeted with a warm welcome & were given a lovely room, the weather wasn’t great so our balloon trip was cancelled for the following morning, but on the upside we had a longer lie the next day. The guys tried to book it for the following day for us, but the forecast want great then either, breakfast was a typical Turkish breakfast, but rather than plated there was a buffet with everything you needed including eggs to order Breakfast is on the roof so you get a great panorama of the town & an idea of what to rock formations you expect to see in the surrounding area. It’s only about a mile from the open air museum which gives you a real insight to the area & how the rock formations have been used by people over the centuries

This was our first trip to Cappadocia and Osman Bey was a great little find. It is a small, quite clean, few frills, 10 room hotel managed and well run by Kadir and his family. They are all so friendly (even the hotel pup, Pablo) and helpful. The room was nice, with a cave like atmosphere...Osman Bey is not truly a cave hotel, but is built in that style. We expected a queen room, but because of a booking glitch received a room with two singles. Kadir would gladly have switched it, but the hotel was fully booked. Not a real issue for us. The bath and shower were on the small side, but more than adequate to meet our needs. I will also note that there were some tricky, nearly invisible steps leading our of the courtyard and into the room. It would be a great improvement just to mark these step with a different color tape or reflective strip to prevent the tripping that occurred numerous times on our visit. My only negative (it's not really negative, just an observation)...there is only Turkish television available. I acknowledge this is truly a "first world" suggestion, but it would be nice, if amongst the gadzillion channels available on the cable TV, at least one could be in English, so you can get news from home. The hotel is in the heart of the city and conveniently within walking distance to everything. Breakfast was included and was a typical Turkish breakfast fare of eggs, meat cheeses, olives salads, fresh fruit, bread and buns, fresh squeezed juices, milk, water and of course Turkish tea and coffee. The breakfast was deliciously prepared by solely by one woman, who greeted us with a welcome and smile every morning at 8:30 am. On our last morning, our departure time was before breakfast began, so Kadir graciously arranged for breakfast to start 45 minutes earlier just for us. The hotel has a symbiotic relationship with Angelo's Travel right next door. Kadir was just amazing with all the concierge work he did for us before and after our arrival. He arranged everything ( private car and guide day tour, hot air ballooning, horseback riding, and a trip to the Salt Lake. Ilkay was our tour guide for our day trip of the valleys, open air museums, and fairy chimneys. She was very knowledgeable, personable, and her English excellent. The only recommendation on this tour would be, if you're having lunch, skip the restaurant buffet, even though it's fast, it is quite pricey for the value and quality. Our driver, Osman, was such a gentleman. His experience as a Turkish Police Officer, traffic division, was well represented in his driving skill and attention to our comfort and safety. He was also the driver for our trip to the Salt Lake and made our time there so much fun when he doubled as our photographer and had us shooting hilarious photos and videos. The only disclaimer about the Salt Lake trip, is be prepared to get dirty. Only in the summer is the lake a dry pink salt flat. In the Spring, the salt is only present a few meters along the shoreline and one must walk through muck to get there. Be prepared to return muddy, even though there is a washing station on premise. The balloon flight was breathtaking, and the pilot truly amazing right down to landing squarely on the flat bed trailer of the chase truck. The horse riding was fun and beautiful at sunset, but would recommend asking Kadir to book you with a company who will put your guide on a horse too, rather than walking alongside and holding the lead horse. All the excursions were so seamlessly prepared, even when we threw Kadir last minute curves/trip requests, he was up to the tasks. When our day tour ended early, before sunset in the Rose Valley, a second trip to Rose Valley was arranged later the same evening, so we wouldn't miss the sunset. When our horseback ride driver didn't come, one of Kadir's staff, a sweet young man, named Mustafa, stepped right in and drove us to the stable. Capadoccia is like something out of fairyland. Kadir and his staff only added to this dream vacation with their fabulous customer service and servant hearts. You can't go wrong staying here.

Stayed for the first time and I think customer service needs some improvement! Hotel is right in the middle of everything within walking distance. Most of the employees speaks decent English which is a big plus point. You can book pretty much everything from this hotel. Keep in mind that some reservations may be expensive to book through this hotel so do your research if you can. Breakfast was included in our reservation and it was alright and nothing fancy. For the room, we had booked a cave room. They should put clearly on the details that none of these cave rooms comes with any heater or AC. Yes, you read that right - No AC or heater. Unfortunately this important detail is not there when you book it. The idea is that cave does remain cool during summer and warm during winter by nature. I stayed during summer and room was about 70 F/21 C degrees by itself. I am not sure how warm it is inside the cave during winter. Inside the room, it comes with two small trash cans. Definitely needs a bigger trash can for the size of the room. Their internet was also patchy and not good. You have to find a right spot for the internet to work. The main thing that I did not like when it comes to good customer service was when we entered our room there were 3 main lights that did not work. Why was room not checked before given to us? Every room should be checked after guest check out and before given it to someone else. Of course this was not happened in our case. Now when I complained about it I was told it will be taken care of the next day. I came in the night of the next day and it was still not fixed. I was going to check out the next day so I didn't make any big deal about it. When asked about the issue during check out, I was only then told that some major fix is required to resolve the issue. Again, why was I not updated? I am not sure but this is a poor customer service in my opinion. Regarding the tour, we booked it through the hotel. What we were not told is the amount of time we would spent at each place. It turned out that some of the places we only spent 15 minutes! I didn't like this because I definitely wanted to stay more than what was enforced to us. Please make sure to clarify about this specially if you want to spend time at certain places.

Our best trip ever thanks to Kadir from the Osmanbey hotel and Angelo's travel agency who made sure we saw more than tours normally offer. Kadir speaks great English, he is very helpful, full on information and knows so much about history. The hotel is very clean, comfy, great breakfast, WiFi, parking and beyond affordable ! Kadir organised everything for us, even trip to Salt Lake with a fabulous driver Osman who took very funny and creative photos of us! We can highly recommend green and red tours, whirling dervishes, camil and horse riding organised by Angelo's travel agency. Cappadocia is a must see place, wonderful, whimsical, magical!!

A very very nice hotel with supper friendly and helpful staff . The room was clean and with amazing cave9 atmosphere.. The breakfast was very delicious and the omelette mad by the hotel is on of the best I tried . The staff (Qadir and Mustafa and all others) were willing to help, they helped me with getting ballon ride and tour with lower prices than all I found online. They helped to arrange shuttle bus from the airport as well. The location is in the heart of town , the view from above the hotel (where breakfast served) is nice. Bus station, restaurants and souvenir shops are all within few minutes from the hotel.. The open air museum is also about 20 min walking from the hotel .

We would definitely recommend this hotel. Right in the centre of Goreme, this hotel is a minute away from shops and restaurants. The rooms were comfortable, warm (aircon worked well) and clean. Kadir is also a tour guide and speaks fantastic English. We highly recommend taking a tour with him and seeing the area around Cappadocia. The staff were really helpful and this is always the best thing!

First time in Cappadoccia - what an amazingly beautiful place!! Goreme town is the best place to stay during the trip - it is close to the Red route sightseeing places and the town itself is very nice. Have chosen Osmanbey Caves because we have found their Deluxe room a perfect fit for our family (2 adults and 2 teenagers). In fact it was not even a room but huge cave apartments: living room with a kitchen and 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Total place is about 60sq.m. Your great experience of the hotel will start with a WhatsApp chat with Kadir, hotel host - he sent us a message when we made a booking and was very helpful to answer our multiple questions. Transfers from and to Kaisery airport were arranged by Kadir (it was cheaper than suggested by the travel agency where we booked the excursions). Our return transfer was early in the morning so Kadir prepared some tasty sandwiches for our breakfast. By the way breakfast in the hotel is really great: big variety of salads, cereals, cheese etc on the buffet + they will cook you eggs of the preferred style. Breakfast is served on the terrace with great view of the city.

I went there on the 21st of December. I had a trouble on my HES code because I was coming from UK (so I have to isolate for 10 days but I didn’t know that as the government released the announcement in a day). The hotel said they can’t give me a room. I have to do a reservation for 14 days and pay it all if I want to stay. Then they said they will do a free cancellation of the room because of something that wasn’t my fault. Then I left the hotel by trusting their words. I tried to cancel the hotel reservation from the booking.com and they did not accept the free cancellation. Also they wrote me an email saying that they have to take the money. Please don’t believe any words they are saying. They don’t care about your comfort, they only think about the money they can take from you. They took my 90 euro for nothing, I even didn’t stay at all. They look like they care about by sending emails about the tours or prices. They say they only do these price for you. But if you search about other companies you will find out that they are not doing any discount, otherwise they are robbing you. Me and my family had really bad times because of them, please be careful about this hotel.
