Kose is awesome! Ahmet & the team went above and beyond with local tips & booking activities like the hot air balloon (& at a bargain price). Kose has a great atmosphere for meeting other travellers with a covered patio for breakfasts & a bar by the pool. The hostel was really clean, comfortable beds and provided a nice cooked breakfast each morning. I will definitely be back if I am ever in Cappadocia again, thanks so much guys!
i love love loved this hostel. not even sure where to begin. first, there is nothing better than getting back from a hot sweaty day out in the scorching sun to a cool and refreshing pool. the staff was friendly and helpful. the dorm rooms are accompanied with a balcony only 4 beds so your not crammed in with a ton of people. and although the hosel is located a bit outside of the center (still comfortable walking distance) I really appreciated chill and quiet atmosphere. it was nice to come back to especially after a long day of touring and walking around. stay here, you will be hooked.
This hostel has a great location, staff can help with activity bookings, free breakfast and a great shaded garden area. The rooms are perfectly fine, many with balconies. The major benefit of this hostel is the pool - after a day sightseeing in the heat, the pool is the perfect place to cool down and relax. The pool (and rest of hostel), was all very clean and comfortable. Only advice to the hostel would be to add a mirror in the rooms - it means everyone is trying to use the bathroom/shower rooms all at once for mirrors, bathrooms, showers, teeth brushing (no sink in rooms either).
Wow. One of the first pensions in the village of Goreme, Cappadocia, Kose remains one of the most traditional, peaceful and family run places in the entire village. Kose Pension represents what Goreme used to be, a traditional Turkish village with heart and soul. The pension itself has not been changed even it has been so well maintained and managed, also with a great swimming pool, and great food. Though luxury hotels and cave suites have popped up everywhere over the years Kose Pension would still be my first choice of all. At Kose you truly feel as though you are in a Turkish village (town) and is in a perfect location in the village to get to shops, restaurants, the bus station, everything, yet you feel a step away from all of that what with its great swimming pool and garden like feeling. It feels like a retreat away from commercialism and the buzz of tourism, a place where you can simply relax and read a book, sunbath by the pool, or play about in the garden. Sabine, who manages the pension is an absolute charm and as she was born and raised in Goreme, plus is well traveled, speaking perfect English, she can answer all your questions and make sure you are with the best people for your excursions and on the right track wherever you want to go and whatever you want to do. The pension is super clean, comfortable, economical and above all friendly.Talk about down to earth, well Kose Pension is your place.…
The staff working there was very nice, welcoming and helpful, but there was only one bathroom/shower on the first floor where I stayed in one of the dormitories. So when one person is either taking a shower or using the toilet, you'd have to go to another floor to do your business. On top of it, the bathroom/shower was not so clean, and it smelled a bit of sewage... The breakfast was nice, the dormitory room was clean, and it was cheap. So if you don't mind a sad bathroom, this will be a great place.
