We--two couples--stayed in the Erenbey Boutique Hotel in Goreme, Cappadocia, in April 2023, and it met our expectations for comfort, service, and location. Our room was spacious, comfortable, quiet, and unique, and the bed was very comfortable; our friends' room was equally attractive. Our room was nicely decorated, had a built-in armoire, vanity with mirror and chair, and two arm chairs. There was a combination safe, instant coffee and tea with electric kettle, a refrigerator with 3 complimentary bottles of water, and one luggage stand. Complimentary breakfast in the rustic but charming upstairs dining room was traditional Turkish fare, not American/European. A complimentary bottle of Turkish wine was provided one night. The staff was uniformly attentive and helpful. The only issues we had were minor and were perhaps unique to our room (#7). The ceiling in our bathroom was only 6' high, so anyone over 5'11" will need to crouch. The glass door to the shower was missing so the bathroom floor became wet when showering, and the spray nozzle needed replacing (water sprayed in multiple directions). Water pressure was strong but the hot water was lukewarm. Also, there was no temperature control in individual rooms and #7 was too warm at night (floor heating?). The hotel is up a short, unpaved side street, and due to frequent rains it was very muddy. Despite some minor inconveniences, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Erenbey and would definitely stay there again. It is a beautifully designed small hotel (9 rooms) central to the town center.

Hotel's Favorite
Erenbey is a small, family-run hotel with beautiful cave rooms, an amazing breakfast, and people who genuinely want to make your stay in Goreme memorable. My husband and I were lucky enough to stay in Room 9, the beautiful suite at the very top of the hotel (lots of stairs) that had a jacuzzi tub and private balcony. When we arrived, we found a bottle of local wine, fresh fruit, Turkish delight, and a variety of other drinks and snacks had been left for us to enjoy. Although we weren’t able to use the outdoor rooftop terrace much due to the weather, on the last day we were there, the big cushions and carpets were being set up again, turning this into a lovely spot to relax or take those rooftop photos that you see all over Instagram (minus the crowds). The location was ideal with restaurants and shops all within walking distance. Although we had rented a car during our stay, there was even a taxi stand at the end of the block if you needed transportation anywhere. Most importantly, the staff here is absolutely amazing. Kemal, Debra, and the rest of the Erenbey “family” were always willing to help, whether recommending a local restaurant or booking our pre-flight COVID tests administered at the hotel. A special thank you to the amazing cook who prepared the breakfasts each morning. Everything was terrific (particularly the borek and Muhammara)! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during our time in Cappadocia. It was truly magical! Çok teşekkürler!

Amazing hotel!!! The hospitality and service at the hotel really made our trip! Family run business and the owner is so polite, understanding and a great guy! We booked the cave suite and it was phenomenal. The room was beautiful but what topped it off was the view from the hot tub. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Cappadocia!

Would definitely stay here again! The staff were extremely helpful even before our arrival. They helped us arrange the transportation from and to the airport, and reserved hot air balloon rides and guided tours. Cappadocia is absolutely stunning and this cave hotel was exactly what I expected in my trip. Complementary Turkish breakfast was also a plus! Overall, I am very happy I chose to stay here.

Would definitely stay here again! Free turkish breakfast and really helpful people. Erenbey was very clean and not a long walk from anything. Do be aware there is no A/C, but don’t let that deter you from staying at this family owned hotel.

The element which sealed the deal for me was the hospitality of the staff at Erenbey. Mustafa was very helpful and assisted me with organizing my itinerary and local recommendations. They helped me book a Sunset Quad Biking session which was one of the best experience in Turkey! The staff were reachable and helpful throughout my 3 day stay. It was unfortunate that I did not get the complimentary house wine as other reviewers when I moved to room 9, however, the views more than made up for it. At night the ambience is so magical! Highly recommend!

We stayed here for 2 nights in July as part of our honeymoon in the Cave Suite. PROS: the staff was very polite and helpful, and the property had an authentic cave feel. Our suite room was also very nice, we got some complimentary fruits and wine as well. CONS: the jacuzzi in our suite which was the highlight did not work, and there was no technician available to fix it. The hotel location is not too high, and for the exorbitant price that we paid (~250 euros/night) we should have taken a better room in a different hotel with a much higher view of the valley. It's a good hotel if you get it at a good price, but for the view you can pick a better hotel higher up.

Erenbey is a Family establishment run by the local owners who was born and raised in Goreme and still lives next door to the hotel. The wonderful staff at the facility are present 24/7 super friendly, very polite and ext really helpful. All locals are fluent in English and other languages and offer guidance and suggestions based on their long term local experience. All rooms are converted from the original family home to a refurbished and lovely decorated rooms carved into the mountain giving visitors an authentic experience. Moderately priced with daily breakfast and central location at Goreme this is a highly recommended place to stay. The local wine on offer and the Terrace above the hotel ad value to the overall experience. Thank you to Kemal the owner Debra his lovely partner and all of the wonderful staff at the Erenbay Cave Hotel.
