This hotel was selected for us by our travel guide and in our opinion we couldn't of picked a better place. Attention to detail was excellent...room decor, bedding, furniture...etc...all spot on. The staff are there for you 24/7 and nothing is too much trouble for them. We only had breakfasts with them each day,but that was delicious and served by friendly, smiling staff. 10/10....can't wait to see you all again.
Just returned from a wonderful 3-night stay at the Aza Cave hotel. From arrival to departure (including some post-departure service), we were never disappointed. Our room (345, on the poolside of the property) was spacious and had a private terrace. Most rooms on this side of the property have a private or semi-private sitting area—I definitely recommend getting a room here, over one on the annex site across the road (though I did not see what they offered for the annex building). ). Our friends stayed in 343 and also had a huge private terrace. Breakfast was outstanding (best breakfast we had during our 3 week Turkey trip) with plenty of options and new items every day. The fresh baked pastries were among the best we had in Turkey. The on-site restaurant is closed for dinner on Mondays, but otherwise serves a wonderful dinner in a quiet and lovely setting overlooking the terrace/pool and some of the fairy chimneys. Nice classical music is played in the garden. At night, you don’t have the distraction of “downtown Goreme” lights which other valley-facing terraces have (Goreme lights up at night, so can be pretty but also a bit of a distraction if you are looking for serenity). The staff were attentive and always able to help. We booked all our excursions (Red, Green, Hammam and Balloon rides) through the hotel/Kelebek travel. Note that the pool is NOT heated, which I would say is the only area for potential improvement. There is in-room coffee (Nespresso machine and Nescafé packets), but you do need to ask for refills as housekeeping didn’t replenish them. We used the laundry service (10 Euros per bag) and received it back after 36 hours . They had an outdoor movie night one evening. Aza Hotel is located at the top of the Goreme hill, and about a 5 minute walk from everything. After our stay in Goreme, we moved to Ucishar for 2 nights at the Museum Hotel..and can report that the quality of our Aza Cave room and bathroom was on par or better than that at the Museum Hotel. Hotel has lots of stairs, so may not be suitable for those with mobility issues (though Cappadocia in general is not be suitable for those with mobility issues) . Hospitality and friendliness of all the staff top notch…In short, there are hundreds of hotels in Goreme, and if this one meets your budget, save your time researching (trust me, we researched them all!), and just book it-you won’t be disappointed!…
We stayed at Aza Cave hotel for 3 nights recently. Was anxious about staying in a cave but was so pleasantly surprised at checkin to find that it had all modern facilities was in a great location and exceptionally clean. The team at Aza aim to make every hotel guests stay a special one and are absolute professionals at what they do and so friendly. Special callout to Habip.. every booking made for us and every suggestion was an unforgettable experience. This was a bucket list trip and it lived up to it.. don’t think there will ever be another like it. Thank you Habip and all the team .. we will never forget your kindness
We stayed in the Aza Cave hotel for 2 nights. The room was big and spacious but had a few missing features that would have helped. The bathroom smelt really bad (not because of us). Staff were for the most part friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a good selection, good quality, but coffee was very small. Great that you can use the terrace of the sister hotel on the mornings to watch the balloons as it has a great view. Good location with good restaurants near by. So we arrived at 5am and had informed the hotel as such who said they would try arrange a room as soon as possible. We'd be on a night bus for 7 hours so we were tired, it had rained on the walk to the hotel and were followed by 10 stray dogs, so we were pretty exhausted, we stumbled into the reception and just said we are very early to be told be a sleepy member of staff, check in is at 2. Didn't take our name or anything. We said we were aware but could we wait here since it was 5am. They said that's fine. We waited for a while and paid to have breakfast which was expensive. We went to watch the balloons from the sister hotel, we had breakfast and return the reception. We were checked in just before 12 which was great. I think the day staff are a bit more attentive than the night staff. Breakfast was good, they had a good selection and offered eggs cooked to order. The only issue I really had was the coffee was tiny, tasty but tiny. There was no limits to how many you could have but it was just a bit awkward having to ask to get a coffee each time. The room had lots of facilities and amenities, free cans of coke and Fanta and coffee and tea making facilities. They even brought some fruit and nuts which was nice but we'd informed them my partner was allergic to nuts and they were knocking on the door for a long time when we were trying to sleep during the day. No do not disturb signs. There weren't any bed side tables which isn't a massive deal but would be handy to put a phone on. The walls of the room, although they look substantial are pretty thin, thankfully unless you have noisy neighbours you won't notice much but we heard complaints about this from other guests. We visited the pool one morning but didn't really use it as the beds were soaking wet, probably from the rain, but also the pigeons (of pigeon Valley which is pretty close by) used the pool for drinking and bathing. Not a huge deal as we didn't use it but just a bit of putting, but hey, that's nature for you. …
I loved the ambience, the staff, the services, and all of the kind help they provided. This place is a HIDDEN gem. EVERY GOOD WORD YOU HAVE READ IS TRUE. NO BAD REVIEWS. They upgraded our room at no cost because of our wedding anniversary. One of the few hotels we have been to where we got welcome snacks (Nuts and fresh fruit) and wine. GOREME was the highlight of our trip and AZA CAVE HOTEL made it memorable. GOD IS THE GREATEST. The best 30 hours well spent in this gem of a place. We stayed at Aza hotel. Guys just stay in this hotel. Noor (she says that’s her second name) was kind in giving info and tips. She organized a cab for us to take us downtown to the open air mesuem. The cab man, Yahya Ciner a kind man helped in conjunction with the hotel to secure a place for the sunset quad bike ride when we couldn't get solo rides on our own. He helped with our time planning and arrangement so we could get to the take off point in good time, a nice man. The sunset quad bike ride was a blast, we visited the Sports valley, Love valley, we watched the sunset from the hill, such a lovely experience. We went for the hot air balloon ride (booked in advance by the hotel for us) as early as 4am, that was a blassssssttttt. LOVEEEED IT. We opted for organic breakfast in the valley option provided by the hotel. This involves a mini tour (sport valley, pigeon valley (and the story about hour pigeon manure were worthy exchange for gold) AND the history of GOREME formation. The BREAFAST was an experience, everything we ate was made on the farm, and all organic. the jam was hand-made, the milk, cheese was from the cow on the farm. Etc etc LOVELY LOVELY PLACE TO EAT THE BREAKFAST. Choose this option guys, no regrets. We finished breakfast and proceeded to do WINE TASTING. THE HOTEL GAVE AN EXTRA HOUR AFTER CHECK OUT BECAUSE WE WENT FOR THE ORGANIC BREAKFAST IN THE VALLEY. Thank you Aza Cave for a memorable Experience. Love and Light......Till next time!!!…
The hotel is beautiful, big rooms that keep their authenticity but the hotel staff make your stay perfect!! The restaurant has amazing food and the staff help you day and night, I’ve never had better service. LOVED this hotel and I will definitely return. I can’t remember our waiters name in the restaurant and I feel terrible because I can’t put it on here but he looked after us our whole stay. The hotel has a pool and a viewing point for the balloons, it’s the best.
enjoyed my stay. Dilba and Mustafa from receiption where extremely helpful. Rooms where neat and clean. breakfast was nice. views where fantastic. I would recommend this hotel and will be glad to revisit.
stayed for 3 nights we arrived at 10pm and needed to eat and the restaurant kindly did us food even though they were closed the food was amazing! the room in the annex was nice would have preferred a room over by the pool, the room was large with a lovely bed, breakfast was amazing! the pool was incredible and they served lunch by the pool, met some lovely people here, watched the balloons, used butterfly balloons which the hotel organised, AVT tour and jeep tour, would love to go again and stay for a week! so much to do in the area, so beautiful and unique felt I was on another planet
We spent two nights in this fantastic and luxurious hotel and we loved it! The room was so beautiful - you can choose between cave rooms (for the full experience) or regular rooms. Also, it is one of the few places in Goreme that offer a super nice, quiet pool (just for hotel guests). The whole staff was charming and super helpful at all times! We would love to come back one day!
Beautiful rooms, amazing location on the edge of the town so you can walk straight into nature and it’s really peaceful when relaxing poolside or in the garden. The staff were so friendly and accommodating - we were upgraded for free to a King Suite when the reception staff saw we were stressed and tired after a long journey. Particular mention goes to Osman at the bar who went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed - a really lovely and interesting guy! Hope to return one day and have been recommending to anyone I know going to Cappadocia!
