Stayed at the grand Anzac for a few days... central location. Receptionist was very friendly. Room was clean and spacious. Radiators were on as it was a little chilly in the evenings. Large selection of traditional Turkish breakfast . Excellent value for money
Gran Anzac is one of your best choices for accommodation in Canakkale city. Inside the center, very clean, easily accessible, excellent services. Thanks to the stuff everything is totally beautiful. I will surely return. Thank you my dear friends
When I booked Anzac hotel in Canakkale over the phone, the person who confirmed my reservation informed me that it would be 200 TL per night. When I reached Canakkale, I discovered that the hotel was closed and any booking was transferred to "The Grand Anzac". The Grand Anzac is rated at a lower level than the "ANZAC". The hotel manager explained that due to the COVIS situation, all guests were transferred to the Grand Anzac.... I objected to pay the same rate for a lower class hotel. The manager promised to give me a discount. At the end, I had to pay TL 180 for a room that is publicized as for TL 140 to TL 160. The hotel is situated at a very short distance from the harbour and the bus terminal. You only walk for 5 to 10 minutes to reach the promenade and the main attractions of the city.. Anyhow, the room was spacious despite the very old furniture and the 19" flat screen hanging. I visited Canakkale on 2nd January 2021 and spent only one night. The hotel was near the sea walk promenade, where you can admire the huge wooden Trojan. Breakfast was very poor with only some coffee (or tea) and some marmalade and butter. One hard egg was offered on the food tray. Oranges were left aside on the display table. The receptionist accepted to let us use the seating corner until 14.30hrs because our bus back to Istanbul leaves at 15.00hrs.…
I always stay in Grand Anzac Hotel whenever I visit Çanakkale. Recommend it. Great location, you can walk through the city, access any kind of restaurant. Covid19 precautions are in place without a problem.
I only stayed one night and it was good. I mean, it’s not a fancy hotel but it’s well located, clean and has friendly staff. When I checked in, I was assigned room 3001 but the mini-split didn’t work well and the key cardholder wasn’t well attached to the wall, so the light kept turning off. After some attempts by the staff to fix it, I asked to be moved to a different room, which they did without a problem. Complimentary toiletries are not the best and the TV is ridiculously small (but, to be fair, I was not traveling to watch TV). On the other hand, the room was a very good size, complimentary tea/coffee, many restaurants nearby and a decent breakfast. Overall, it was an OK stay and wouldn’t mind going back.
I made reservation for two people room was dirty we didn’t liked and Olso there is a no breakfast and then I pay 200 tl staff was angry and they were not friendly we never come back to here again ......
We have visited to canakkale, hotel grand anzac is very clean and nice place.walkable distance to city center.staff is very helpful and friendly.breakfast is very nice, loads of different options.love this hotel.room is very clean.I can recommend to everyone.
If you go Çanakkale you should stay Anzac Hotel. Very kind receptionist especially Mr. Okan very helpful and rooms clean and wide. When you compare price&performance you will not disappointed. Breakfast has very various type of Turkish traditional food and cheese. Especially you should try Ezine cheese which very famous in that region.
A 3 star, no frills comfortable hotel in Canakkale, 100m walk from the waterfront and ferry wharf. Rooms and common areas were clean and well maintained. Breakfast is varied, healthy and tasty. Wi-fi connection was good.
Title says it all! We have 3 minimum criteria for accommodation this hotel only just met our standards, definitely no frills and no extras. Breakfast was good but hotel just 2-3 stars. Town is beautiful though and there's a lovely walk along the waterfront.
