I have stayed at this hotel 4 times, first time was in the summer of 2011. I was attracted by its positioning, it’s sea side and vast surroundings. I utterly enjoyed my stay here until now and I will endeavour to give as many details as possible as to why that is. I apologise for the long read. Firstly, the hotel changed ownership since I last came. Nothing has changed for the better. Maintenance and upkeep is very poor and reactive to problems; sometimes. Google stays this hotel is 27 years old and is in desperate need of refurbishment. Everyday there’s something not working, water not running, leaking air conditioning, lifts out of service etc etc. When they finally decide to repair something it is a bodge, a quick fix often leaving it unfinished and rubbish left laying around. For instance..... the air-con in the reception lobby area, it was an early evening, the lobby was full of guests on their phones. We choose a spot but we discovered one of the armchairs was soaked in water, so took another one. Whilst trying to get a wifi connection I noticed water was dripping on my knee from the ceiling. We told the waitress, she didn’t even say thank you for notifying or please move away. They called a tech guy who came with a ladder and a bunch of towels and bed sheets and he had to access the air con tray and empty it as it was overflowing. The ceiling was soaked, furniture was soaked. If that tray would have been emptied regularly they won’t have guests witnessing the dirty job, it would have all been unnoticed. The ceiling remains damaged and just left. Another activity that could be done out of hours is the housekeeping trolley replenishment. There are 2 passenger lifts and 1 service lift to the main hotel. Both the staff- operations and the guests are using the same 3 lifts. And having our room at level 6 (top floor) can get really annoying and frustrating because of the difficulty in accessing it. During our stay 1 lift was out of order almost constantly for the first week and their weight allowance was reduced to 4 people. I should mention that this hotel has about 13 levels from/ to the beach shared by a number of improperly functioning lifts. Being at the highest floor going by staircases (26nr approx) is such a challenge and unreasonable to expect guests to do this. Furthermore, the majority of staff at reception to the lifeguard don’t understand and don’t speak a word of English, the only way to communicate with the receptionist was via Google translate like we did with Sibel. The only persons we could have a conversation with were the managers, but even that was at a very basic level and even then we didn’t think they understood at all. During our 2 weeks stay we were entitled to two dinners in the a la carte setting, so we pursued bookings with Azra the ‘Customer Relations Manager’ as instructed by reception. We chose two consecutive nights, one for the Italian dinner and a second for the fish restaurant. First night went fine, till we got towards the end of our meal and saw that the waiters were getting really vocal and aggressive when they discovered other people weren’t leaving any tips as they were leaving. This is an all inclusive resort; one doesn’t usually carry cash around. We didn’t think anymore of it. The second night came and we again went down for the fish a la carte carrying a bowl of cherries we were excited to munch on after our meal. The same waiter “Serkan”, from the previous night was less than pleased to see us. He said ‘we don’t have a reservation’ calls Azra and points us to a table. After 10 minutes of being sat at an unattended table, Serkan Eskici, the waiter comes to us and says we aren’t allowed any fruit at the a la carte and demanded our bowl of cherries. We said we would place the bowl under the table. He aggressively replied “no booking no service”, turned his back and walked off. When we asked him his name he pulled his badge off his shirt and threw down. My partner tried to go have a conversation with him and he put on a scene acting very rudely. We spoke to the F&B manager in charge “Serdar” and “Ahmet” the bar manager and then Azra. They all apologised, saying they don’t encourage a tip driven service and that “the boy” (Serkan) needs a job. The so called “lifeguard” on the beach is a joke. He’s always under his umbrella, on his phone all day; doesn’t even pay attention to the sea or people swimming. The sea brings rubbish ashore from the boats docking or passing by. We saw plastic items every single day and a condom! He could take a net and take some control (even pride) of his patch and the rubbish where people are swimming. In addition, previous ladders to access the sea from the jetty had been thrown in the sea left to rot. We told the lifeguard these ladders were only half a metre below the surface and someone could get injured by these. He did nothing. In the evenings people gather on the bar floor for free drinks but the atmosphere is absolutely dead. People are either playing music on their phones or it’s complete quietness. It is a bar, by definition it should have some background music at least, leaving the reception lobby area as a quiet area with the Wifi (if it’s working) I understand that the guy that used to sing in the years before is no longer here, but some music in the speakers doesn’t cost anything.... just initiative. The food is mediocre, the fruit and vegetables are nice at times, otherwise the same cheap chicken / fish barbecue, lots of stodgy foods. Mornings are worst, not a real continental breakfast. The amount of waste from people’s plates is just overwhelming and more overwhelming is to see that food and paper all goes in the same bin. I doubt anything gets recycled. The whole of Kuşadası has an immense number of stray cats, the resort has a few too. We visited other resorts with stray problems, but the most considerate approach for the animals and the guests is to have some shelters where the hotel can feed them food waste and have guests donating as well. In our experience this works very well. The grounds of the hotel are so so vast and the amount of scraps is huge and it will keep people that like or dislike cats content and happy. Then the front of the hotel once had nicely kept garden area. This has now become a dumpster. It’s packed with rubbish bags, hardcore and odd materials. Not a pretty view when you drive towards the side entrance. It shows lack of care and attentiveness and of course poor management by the general manager; if there is one! We didn’t see anyone in this capacity in 2 weeks. It’s worth noting also that by far the majority of adults guests were smokers (excessive) and we had many an evening eating on the terrace ruined by smokers. There aren’t any rules in this hotel to manage “no smoking” in a proper or considerate manner, even though Turkish legislation forbids smoking in areas of public gatherings and the like. Our bedroom would also fill with smoke from the adjoining guests bedroom which was just horrid let alone concerns for fire safety separation between bedrooms, which in this instant didn’t exist. The hotel lacks love and care, it’s like a milk cow on its last legs... I am saddened to see something so grandiose come to ruin day by day. The hotel needs a full refurb, it needs staff that can cater for international customers as well as Turkish, which seems to be their main focus.

We have been here since 7 till 14 (tomorrow)June in room 330. Beautiful views, amenities, foods, entertainment ,staff &...All of them are perfect but there are some more that makes this hotel special fore me: 1- classic music play in meal and break times, really makes people comfort and relax 2- always there is a private corner for you! Although there are a lot of guests here, this hotel is so huge!! that every area, beach, pool, lobby &... have empty bed, chair, bench for you even for meditation! 3- you are free here from strict limits and discipline that most big hotels have!they allow you to sit in restaurant a little early or after fixed time,to swim a little after pool time ,and so on, they are flexible in managing hotel. 4-we are vegan and there are a large number of delicious food for us 5- although Iranian tourists are the third population in tourism of turkey ,most of hotels has no sign of them(Ive traveled 11 times to bodrum, marmaris, antalya and Kuşadası ) but in this hotel you can see Persian language in guid board that was exciting for me. Some suggestion: -some bin for trashes are needed in beech -some lights in beech, make it comfortable in nights - although main food have name on a card, it could be so useful that card indicates the ingredients too. - sometimes dishes are not clean, maybe dishwasher machine should be serviced - The number of staff maybe is not enough for this great hotel - Kitchen of Italian restaurant is hot because of ovens, maybe an air conditioner is good for staffs work there - Some “hotel tours” for Kuşadası Castell ,ephesus, Sirince,... maybe useful.Although there are some guys but they don’t know English well and when we spoke to one of them, he told us : just use your agent! Without any help or guidance , it wasn’t pleasant - P.S. Derya the girl works in restaurant is so kind and responsible!

My parents, my 5 children and I stayed for 10 nights here. It was extremely quiet which was such a shame for the children as there was no opportunity to make friends. There was also zero entertainment at night, which was a great disappointment to us all. On our arrival we were not given any information regarding the hotel, i.e. meal times, destinations of restaurants, pools or bars within the complex. This would be something for the hotel to consider in the future. The staff are lovely and so helpful to make your stay as happy as possible, big shout out to Jon, DJ Romeo, Tina and Merry from the animation team and also the bar manager who was wonderful with my young ones. The food was extremely repetitive, serving liver, grilled fish and Turkish meatballs four nights in a row. The swimming pools are brilliant and the children enjoyed the use of these daily. The WiFi was good as long as you remained around the lobby or pool area. The Italian A La Carte was absolutely gorgeous and I would highly recommend this. All in all, I don't think we stayed at the greatest time, maybe during a busier period things would have been much different.

This hotel is in a stunning location, views are outstanding and everything is well presented. It was very, very quiet during our stay so I'm not able to comment on the entertainment etc as there simply wasn't enough people to run most of the activities (suited us as it meant we had a lovely relaxing break!). The animation staff, however, were outstanding, spending their time chatting with guests and we're all extremely helpful . We did have an issue with our room, Mr Jan got the ball rolling to sort what he could, Ali is one of the most interesting people to sit and chat to, extremely well educated and shared many of his life experiences, opened our eyes to how life is for people trying to get a career from Arab countries. The girls in the team, I only caught the names of Merry and Tina, are friendly and lively, really trying to improve their English. We had to involve the guest relation manager, Azra, with our problem, she has only been in the job a few days. Everything sorted instantly and she took the time to check throughout the week to make sure everything was okay for us. That was a breath of fresh air as her English is very good and she genuinely cared that people should have a good holiday. The restaurant is beautifully presented, particularly the desserts, amazing displays and decorations. Ihan (not sure of spelling?) does an amazing job keeping the displays looking good and everything running smoothly. For us, the main courses were a bit repetitive, but it was very, very quiet so I'm sure there's more variety when the hotel is busier ( my father has been to the hotel twice before and always mentions the variety in the food). The bar staff, again, very helpful, but watch out for the spirit measures and the cocktails, they are very generous with the spirits! We didn't have great weather during our stay but the hotel is so vast we found plenty of different places to sit and chill, no matter what the weather was doing. I recommend the floor matteresses near the relax pool for an afternoon kip! The rooms are adequate, everything you need, plenty of storage and the shower was great, easy to keep the water at a good constant temperature. It states on the hotel information that wifi is only available in the lobby, this has been hugely increased and can be connected virtually everywhere, good enough to FaceTime almost everywhere. Few of the rooms have balconies, so it can be a bit of a trek if, as a smoker, you want a cigarette! All in all, we had a lovely break, I would go back to Ladonia Adakule again quite happily and would recommend it to friends and family. It's a fair way to the town but acting the dolmas bus is very straightforward and taxis are cheap. Plenty of bargains in the town and the market was great. The animation staff are on hand to take people out to the bars to party for those that are inclined. I've rated our holiday 4/5 as we did have an issue, it was dealt with and fully resolved, some lack of variety with main courses (although the food was very tasty, well presented and cooked beautifully) and some parts of the hotel were being refurbished, therefore not in use. For a relaxing break, in stunning surroundings, you can't go wrong with this hotel.
