AbdulKadir & the team hosted my wedding party very well. The accommodated not only myself and new wife but all of the family and friends who attended our wedding party. The service has been fantastic, rooms and hotel is beyond 5 star! Wedding decorations were exactly what we wanted, a beautiful beach wedding, with the sunset and also the chefs joined in our dance party too which was brilliant. Couldnt have been any happier, big thanks to all staff at Arcanus Side Resort. Food and cake for all 7 nights was perfect also the wedding food was extremely satisfying. I would definitely recommend everyone to having a wedding party here but also staying here is just beyond words. Will definitely come again, every year!
Grounds are beautiful and well kept. Everywhere is clean and it doesn’t matter which bar or restaurant you are in the staff are always cleaning up around you. Couldn’t fault how hard all the staff work and management can always be seen around day or evening keeping a close eye. Our holiday didn’t get off to the best of starts. We were a family of 5 adults and 4 children between us. We arrived early hours of the morning around 1.30am and were greeted by friendly reception staff who kindly told us where to find the buffet restaurant where we could help ourselves to cold meats and bread. It was very basic but enough to keep us going until morning. When we finally got to our rooms, one of the doors wouldn’t open, we reported to reception who got maintenance on the case straight away. It turns out the key card scanner on the door was faulty. They tried unscrewing the whole device however nothing worked there was no opening the door. Reception explained that the hotel was fully booked and the only spare room was a double where they had to make up two extra single beds for the children on the floor. It solved the problem however not what you expect on the first night of your holiday. Full problem was resolved by the 2nd day and we were back in the original room. Unfortunately we learned very quickly that the restaurant buffet was not the most appetising. Majority of food was “Luke warm” throughout the holiday and temperatures were not fully working on the hot plates. It didn’t matter what time you went whether you got there early at 6.30pm or went at 8.30pm there was never a hot meal. The meat from the BBQ also wasn’t of good quality and was very tough with hardly any meat on the bone. Luckily the snack bar at the slide pool in the daytime made up for this and all food was cooked to order where you could have fresh pizzas, pasta and burgers. We tried the Mexican Al La Carte Restaurant which was lovely and also the Turkish which unfortunately although the food was nice it was in completely the wrong location at the beach. The starters and salad were already out on the table when we arrived and swarming in flies. It would have been better to leave in the kitchen and wait for the guests to arrive before putting out on table. There was two lobby bars, a pool bar and the Passion bar which I was most excited to try and although the cocktails were very lovely unfortunately the drinks were very much watered down which is not what you expect from an all inclusive resort. The children asked to go into kids club, when checking them in there is a clipboard on the desk to sign them in however no where to sign them out so staff didn’t know what children they were still supposed to have in their care and who had left. Other hotels we’ve stayed at in Turkey, the children are issued with a wristband with their name and parents contact details clearly written. Unfortunately we became concerned quite quickly as the gate wasn’t always shut properly so children could walk in and out freely without being noticed. On two occasions the staff let our children walk out of the kids club without our knowledge or contacting us and as the kids club was right next to the slide pool this was very worrying for us. When we questioned why this had happened they didn’t seem to understand the importance of safe guarding children and thought it was acceptable to let children go if they wanted to leave. On the first occasion we raised with Tanner at Guest Relations however after it had happened a 2nd time we never allowed our children back to the kids club as it was too much of a safety issue which is a real shame as they really enjoyed their time there and were begging to go back. I would appreciate hearing from guest relations and what measures have been put in place to avoid this in future? All in all the staff are extremely hard workers who put customer service at the front of everything they are doing and always walk around with a smile on their face. We met some lovely waiters at the snack restaurant at the slides and some lovely staff in the lobby bar. Also the lady life guard at the slide pool was extremely passionate about keeping the children safe in the pool and took her job very seriously. Although she spoke little English she was a lovely lady who the children absolutely adored alongside her male colleagues who used to spend their hard earned lunch breaks swimming with the children in the pool. We can see how hard the hotel is trying and with a few changes it could become one of the best. I’d be happy to share more of our experiences to help make the necessary improvements needed.…
Hotel is set in lovely grounds, right on the beach and very well looked after. But not much around it to walk to - although there are two horse riding places and some shops. It’s about an hour away from Antalya airport, so good to think about that when booking flights (and remembering its 2 hours ahead in summer, but then 3 hours when the clocks go back in October in England, which caught us out). The rooms are big, a little outdated, we found the beds comfortable but with very soft pillows. Bathroom was ok, built in bidet as you can’t flush toilet roll, and has a shower over the bath. You get a mini fridge, although ours never shut properly, with water, Pepsi and Efes lager. It’s restocked each morning. Maids come every day. The food is just what you’d expect from an AI, with stews and meats, rice etc but there was a large selection of vegetarian options and beautiful fresh salad and delicious cakes. Waiters provide drinks table service and they are all very polite. The snack bar at the slide pool had nice pizzas and lovely staff. We didn’t really eat at the beach snack bar. The snack bars are open when the main restaurant is in the afternoon which I thought strange as in other AI’s they tend to be open when you want a snack between main meal times. The pool is beautiful, huge and FREEZING probably because of the time of year we visited (although temperature was still a nice 28 degrees) but the sea was lovely and warm and great to swim in. They have a jetty with a small pool bar and sun loungers - we spent some lovely afternoons sunbathing then jumping off the jetty with the kids. Also the water is quite clear and so many fish it’s a good idea to get snorkels which they sell on site or in the shopping centre down the road. The slide pool is good for kids. Side is worth a visit - you can jump on a bus outside the hotel or we got a taxi which was about €10. Old Greek and Roman ruins along the street and great history. Nice restaurants looking over the bay. The area and this hotel is very geared towards German tourists but everyone can also speak English. Activities through the day were the same each day - yoga, boules, aqua aerobics, darts, water polo. It got a little repetitive and the only time music came on at the pool was for aerobics. Slide pool open a couple of hours am and a couple of hours pm. Kids loved them as it broke up the day a bit and was next to the tennis/basketball court where they could play. There wasn’t much more for two teenage boys to do - too old for kids club and too young to want to just ‘relax by the pool’. Would be good if there was an area for teens maybe with a pool table (there is table tennis) and more interaction from animation but again it could be because we went at the the end of season. There is a small gym but with windows where everyone can see you which put me off. Also a Turkish bath spa where we had a massage - would recommend that on your first day. Although weirdly we got a clay face mask at the end which we had to wash off ourselves in a changing room. It would be a much nicer experience to be given a warm face cloth. There are 3 bars. One outside where the entertainment is on a stage, 2 almost identical ‘lobby bars’ - feel a bit like a piano style waiting room. Overall nice hotel with hard working staff (although some speak little English as the hotel mostly caters for German holiday makers).…
This the first time here. What a great choice. Special mention to the Animation team, especially kübra. Service has been amazing. Quality and variety of food has been great. We will definitely return to this resort.
Hotel itself is amazing, with lovely staff, and everything around is clean and well organised. Restaurant serves very tasty food. Pool and beach is fantastic. However the beauty of my holidays was disturbed massively during visit in wellness spa situated in the hotel…. I have enjoying Turkish bath itself but massage….. this was a shocking experience. Male masseur (with tattoo along his left arm and hand) start touching my breast and nipples under my bikini bra. He seems surprised with my Reaction as I was shocked with this behaviour- mustn’t happen in such a good hotel where guests should feel safe - it is disgraceful what happened to me, I felt very disturbed and couldn’t believe this is included in massage! . I didn’t report this to hotel as it is my word against his, and hotels don’t do anything anyway as my research confirmed it. Before police would come and make a report and in good resolution- start investigation- my holidays ended. This behaviour is widely accepted by hotels as per my research and nothing really will happens unless myself and few more women would report it in the same time. Be aware and ask for female staff in Turkish bath if you want take experience of Turkish but not going through my experience during massage…. Hotel admin - don’t bother to reply to review - I know you had reports before and done nothing. Shame as everything else is a good time in your hotel ……
We are here on the second day and everything is great. Eat, drink service…. Today we visited the Beach Snack Bar for lunch and probably for the last time. The lunches served were excellent, but in order to avoid the midday rush, we went down from around 2:00 p.m. We waited about 20 minutes for our order. Then they brought instead of the ordered meals only 3... Such a small thing, when a child does not get his lunch, can really spoil the whole day. Otherwise everything is really great!!! We'll see if it gets better 😉 We've been here for a week, so more reviews will follow. Apart from this hesitation, I rate it as excellent!
This is the 4th year I was staying in Antalya region and 1st time at Arcanus Resort. We were staying as a group for 4 nights and love every bit of time spent. Beautifully arranged rooms and most of them are sea view. I must say that Arcanus Resort is one of the best in terms of hospitality, food, detailed attention and hospitality. Not like other resorts in Antalya, Arcanus staff was well trained and speak good English. Therefore, it was very easy to communicate my needs. Food was amazing and had many verities. I have tried all of the restaurants and all of them were good. Next time I will be definitely come back.
We first came to the Arcanus in 2019 and would have been back sooner had it not been for Covid !! We’ve had a really really lovely 2 week stay, every member of staff has done their upmost to ensure we have had the best time ever. The management are always visible around the hotel and ever helpful. Taner (customer relations) is a gem and endeavours to make everyone happy in the hotel and of course Eleanor who works beside him. The a la carte restaurants are a must, ideal if you want to have an extra special evening being spoilt !! There are too many staff to name individually, all of them play an amazing part in ensuring everyone’s holiday is memorable. Some though we must say a very special thank you to, Front of house manager, Mustafa extremely helpful when we had a late check out, Nermin who organised an extra room for our nephew to visit for a few days and a very special thank you to Bekir, a waiter in the Aqua snack bar, immediately recognisable by his beaming smile, he is not only very professional but very warm hearted too. The cleaning, gardening and technical staff do an amazing job keeping the hotel spotlessly clean and the surrounding areas always colourful and well tended. As for the food, well what can we say apart from delicious choices and an amazing variety, definitely something for everyone. The chefs/cooks must work extremely hard to provide such an extensive choice and waiters/waitresses in the dining areas, like all staff here are so obliging, Mehmet is so entertaining we loved him. Everything about this hotel, the accommodation, the food choice, the surroundings, the amenities available and of course the amazing staff certainly make us want to return again and we definitely will be doing, can’t wait.…
Great location. Staff provided an excellent service with friendly approach, always with smile on their face and respect, room was cleaned daily, overall very clean resort. Different entertainment each night. Water in the ocean nice warm, access to beach pleasant, loved the pier. There was a curious visitor, who showed up every day - a sea turtle. The resort is close to the old town, which is a must to see. Great variety of food in the main restaurant, also enjoyed A-La-Carte in the Fish Restaurant. A big thank you to all staff at Arcanus for working hard to make our vacation a memorable one.
Wow what a place! From start to finish we where treated amazingly. We arrived early hours in the morning, tired and ready for bed, check in was quick and our cases where taken upto our room for us, once at our room, we was shown how to work the air con, what was in our fridge and told how and where to get our towels. Straight away we knew we was in for a treat here. In the morning everyone is greeted as you go into the main restaurant with a smile and a good morning. Tables are cleared straight away and it’s spotless. Bar staff are very friendly and deliver drinks to your table. Drinks are the best we have had in a all inclusive hotel. The pools where like getting into a bath, so refreshing, clean and a great way to cool down. Water sport activities where on daily from trampolines and bikes in the water. The walk down to the beach was lovely and clean and the pier was great, the sea was soo clear and warm and great to swim in. There was different entertainment on each night, all of which where fun, especially the 80s night in the garden, so much effort goes into these nights. We tried the Italian restaurant, the food was top quality and drinks where flowing as you ate. Our room was cleaned every single day and the fridge was topped up each day, you got water, Pepsi and efes. We had a ride into the old town, so worth the views, absolutely beautiful place. And the boat trip we went on was great fun, we got picked up at 9.30am and got back at 6pm, stopped at a beach for a hour and a half, where you could sunbath, swim in the sea, have a ride on a camel or go on the water sports, we then had food on the boat, choice of chicken or fish, after that we stopped for a swim in the deep sea and could jump in from the boat, that was soon followed by dancing and a foam party, on the way back we stopped at the beach again, there is a lovely family on the beach making big pancakes for 1€ , once off the boat we had water fights on the buses on the way home. The Whole day was great fun, all for 20€ each. We booked it with someone in the old town. The staff at this hotel work so hard and always put you first, always have smiles on their faces. We will def be returning, this time with the rest of our family. Thankyou Arcanus for having us.…
