The Neptun Hotel is an excellent place to have a comfartable and homie-like rest. The location is fantastic with home food and lovely owners who are supportive and more than friendly! The sea is just next to the bar-restaurant, which is a part of the hotel, and literally across a promenade. As it is a family hotel, the place is nicely decorated, very clean and very pleasant to stay at. All staff are very friendly, smilie and never nosey. The guests are mostly international, which makes the place unique with quiet evenings, good music and family atmospere. What really makes this place special is that it is right there within ancient Byzantine ruins. It's absolutely breathtaking to feel history so close to you! Side is a museum in the open air - that is so true! I'll definitely come back next summer to enjoy a good conversation with the owners, Liva and Halil, as well as feel all the joy from clean and gorgeous sea! It was really a nice stay! Thank you so much!

A friend and I recently stayed at this hotel for a week. While the owners and staff (particularly those in the adjacent bistro ) were welcoming and helpful, the hotel was very disappointing It is really shabby (the photographs on their site ,were very creatively taken ), and a health and safety nightmare. There is no lift and we were originally allocated rooms on the 4th and 5th floors , accessed only by an unevenly spaced stone staircase. There is no handrail , so we had to grip the inner stone wall , for balance , as the outer edge was made of very dilapidated wood which barely reached waist height. One room was found for us on the 1st floor, from the second day of our stay , but I lived in constant fear of falling down or tripping up the staircase. Our rooms were not well serviced. The light sockets were dirty and the electric socket for the hairdryer in both rooms was hanging off the wall. You had to step down into the shower and there was no grab handle .I was terrified that I would slip.My friend reported a leak in her bathroom which was not addressed at all. We would not return .

The staff are rude and ignore you, the night porter is offensive. There is no pool as quoted on Trip Advisor, the food is poor and they use cheap produce. Apparently there is an ongoing feud with the hotel next door (Leda Beach Hotel) and they are rude to all there staff and customers. Avoid this Hotel at all cost, it is not worth your money, you can get a better deal with a pool next door.

Second visit to this hotel We visited 4 years ago and u can’t fault the location it’s literally perfect Few minutes walk from harbour and main district Has a nice beach just in front of hotel and I mean just in front I can see it from ure room, it’s also free loungers as long as u order from bar or use their shop which are the only ones at this section anyway so works out perfect Hotel is basic and for what u pay it meets the needs just fine. Food is pretty good and staff are very friendly The have bean bags on beach at night for some where to chill. The hotel could do with a make over and some of the repairs are a bit botched which is a shame If the hotel was revamped it could be an amazing place Great for couples close to what u need to be close to and amazing views Little noisy as hotel is little older and has a lot of stairs !!!! Generally really clean

I've just arrived back from a fab holiday at this lovely hotel, situated right on the beach with its own private section & close to shops & other amenities. There's a good selection of meals & plenty of it & the staff are very friendly & helpful they really can't do enough for you. There is also a good selection of excursions if you like that sort of thing from boat trips to horse riding, I chose to go horse riding the horses were very well cared for & I was able to go for a lovely ride in the evening & take the horses onto the beach which was amazing. I also had a massage at the hotel which was fantastic & reasonably priced. I really can't fault this hotel you get what you pay for & more, I will definitely be returning to this fab hotel next year☺️

This is a fairly small and basic hotel that would not suit people who are looking for ultra modern or high end luxury. However, for us it is exactly what we look for in any destination: Fantastic location; 5 - 7 minutes from the centre of Old Side and right on the beach with its own private section. It is also away from the big, noisy resorts further aong the promenade. If you have a seaview room, especially with balcony, you are perfectly placed to watch the sunsets with a nice bottle of wine. The rooms, although basic and not highly decorated are spotlessly clean with maid service every day. Clean towels and sheets changed as required and a large'ish fridge in the room for all your needs. The staff (and owners) could not be more welcoming and always take time to chat to their guests, having a laugh and getting to know them as appropriate. As I said, maybe not to everyone's tast but our priorities are: location, cleanliness, comfortable beds, proper toilets and staff who care. All this the Neptun delivers and at a cost of 18 GBP per room per night including breakfast.

The hotel is pretty close to the beach, sea temperature is very acceptable, view to the seashore is beautiful. But only problem is, only breakfast is included in the price; so you should pay for your lunch and dinner. We had our meals outside, some restaurants like Burger King, Domino's Pizza etc.

We stayed at this lovely but basis hotel in September 2014, and we have just booked to return again in September for two weeks as we had a very relaxing and lovely holiday. The staff were excellent, polite and friendly. Food was great which meant we ate in the hotel most of the time although there are lots of beautiful restrauants along the sea front. .

Me and my partner traveled here in June 2014 and stayed for a week. We had room 402 which perfectly over looked beach was beautiful, sun doesn't hit balcony till 1pm so nice cooling mornings relaxing on the balcony. The rooms are basic no frills, fridge (only cold when room key is in so only over night) AC which we didn't need with the cooling sea breeze, tv. It was not lap of luxury but then we didn't pay that sort of money. The hotel staff are really nice people very helpful and do make and effort for you. Food was basic menu but then it was all over side unusual for beach restaurants. The beach is sandy and right out side hotel and I mean like a 15 sec walk could see my lounger from room. As I walked to the west of hotel there is a club and all the larger hotels beaches much much busier and lot of it raised shore on rocks, the small stretch of beach out side the neptun was perfect sand all way to water some soft larger wave breaking rocks and not deep waist height for about 50 meters. Not one pestered you on this part so it really peaceful and relaxing with some slow wifi. Walk east a minute or two and you hit the maze of markets they do pester you a fair bit but not to bad. Lots of places to eat and drink on Coast to watch sun set etc.... Over all it was lovely hotel with lovely staff and best location in side has to be. Would 100% go back just make sure you get a room with a view as it makes up for a leaky shower head. Couple friendly, basic breakfast but fresh, shop, bar, food on beach, wifi, room want cleaned all week only real negative, but anything we asked for they gave us. Great little gem a little revamp and would be a boutique easy with double price.

After looking at some of the dismal offerings on the way into Side, we stumbled on the Neptun. A bit long in the tooth I suppose, but the location and view more than offset any funkiness. Direct access to a piece of beach, private secluded parking, friendly owner, 5 minute walk to town on beach sidewalk, Roman ruins across the road. Upper rooms have an amazing unobstructed view of the sunset over the bay from balconies. We stayed an extra day. If you like 10 floor multi-pool resorts with 500 new friends, this is not your place.
