We travelled to Thalia in beginning of October, suprisingly the hotel and whole Side seemed to be full of tourists. We arrived after midnight, were quickly checked in by receptionist. Location: Hotel's location was great. Directly on the clean sandy beach, with beautiful garden, close to the shopping possibilities outside the hotel. Close to Side (3-4 km), or Kumkoy (<1km - 10-15 min walk). Room: First night were unhappy with the room we got due to the overbooked hotel. The room was standard of 2-3* hotel in the back of main building. Next morning we got new room with view over the another hotel and road, which was very nicely decorated and modern, definitely a standard of 4* hotel. Room was equipped with comfy bed, amaying pillow and covers, TV, minibar with soft drink and water, safe, tea/coffee set, nice balconu with chairs, huge wardrobe with plenty of space. Bathroom was nice and clean as well. Daily cleaning was done very well, cleaning lady was super nice. Hotel: Hotel has well maintained garden and pool area. The area is small, but feels cozy. Beautiful view from the restaurant's terrace. There was some a'la carte restaurant but we did not try. Pool bar/beach bar, spacious lobby bar with terrace and again amazing view over the garden/pool/sea. There was SPA with massages, also complimentary voucher for 10min massage valid only for 2 days!! Food: Hotel had nice standard of all inclusive. If you have been in Turkey for several times, you will recognize the similarity in the menus. I was expecting mz favorite turkey with brown sauce and to my positive surprise, found it there :) Plenty of meat, side dishes, salads, cakes. Cannot complaint. Hotel restaurant was usually at its peak time around 7-7:30 pm and it was difficult to find a table. During lunch there was beach restaurant offering different meals, usually hamburgers, fries, spaghetti. As usual. Beach: Last 3 visits in Turkez we chose hotels almost next to each other, because of the beach. It's the cleanest area, with pure sand, not deep water and amazing for walks. Beach was smaller but you could always find a place there. Moreover, hotel has pear with extra sunbeds accesible only for it's guests, beautiful views and more windy. Great for watching sunset. Fun: Hotel was majorly occupied by older people or families. During the day, different activites such as morning gymnastic, darts, boccia, etc. Evening shows were really nice, many musicals, animation team performed really great. However, during our week stay there was no disco/party. It was a family vacation so we did not mind it. Hotel guests were majoritz German, or Turkish. Hotel's staff was speaking mostly this languages, plus basic english. In overall, it was nice holiday for one week. I would give it 3,8/5 stars.…
