Side Star Resort is celebrated by guests for its ample amenities, including diverse dining, lively entertainment, and a generous minibar, complemented by attentive service. The rooms are generally acknowledged as clean, spacious, and comfortable, despite minor suggestions for improvement. While the atmosphere buzzes with activities, it occasionally misses the mark on certain evenings.
Service is largely excellent, with staff lauded for their professionalism, though isolated incidents of dissatisfaction occur. Opinions on value vary, with some guests questioning additional costs. The hotel's cleanliness receives high praise, and its location is favored for its convenience, despite being a tad isolated for some.

Detailed Reviews
Booked last min for a week here, We booked for 2 x adults and 2 x children. When we arrived the porter took the bags to one side and sanitised all of them before they where brought in to the hotel. We where taken up to our room along with or bags to find we only had a king size bed and a single bed for 4 of us to sleep in, They soon arranged for another bed to be brought up to the room however this made the room very cramped.
We stayed in room 1101 and this is situated at the front of the hotel above the reception area, The other problem with the room was the call to prayer at 5 am every morning. This was so loud even with the windows and doors closed.
The breakfast lets the hotel down as there’s not much choice for English people as the hotel seems to be catered for Germans/ Russians, The kids where happy as they had pancakes everyday for breakfast. I can recommend the jam on toast as I had this everyday, The lunch and evening meals where really good with a good choice however we got speaking to someone who a vegetarian and they had very little choice.
The hotels social distancing and infection control measures where highly followed and you had to wear gloves while serving yourself food in the restaurant. The staff wear face mask and gloves all the time and there’s hand sanitiser station all over the hotel.
The pool area is kept clean and tidy and there’s entertainment and games during the day, The slides times are 10-12 & 12-3. I don’t know why they turn the slides off between 12-3 as the days where there’s no life guard on duty they still have the slides on. There’s a member of staff called Tony who will come and ask to sit with you all the time, If you have a attractive wife, Daughter or friend with you he will letch on them all the time. He was happy to tell us that he loves doing this and wasn’t very professional or willing to help carry anything from the bar as he said he’s not a waiter. He then asked us on a number of times to get him an alcoholic drink from the bar to which we told him no.
There’s a arcade and bowling alley at the hotel however all the machines take tokens, They are 9 tokens for €10 and the bowling is 4 tokens each. Most of the arcade games are 1 token each and there’s also pool tables that have to be paid for.
There’s also a flat path to the beach from the hotel where there’s water sport that you are required to pay for, You can also play basket ball, tennis and crazy golf however the crazy golf doesn’t look great.
The hotel is really nice however there’s a couple of changes required to make it more appealing to English people instead of Germans and Russians.

Two weeks here was nothing but a pleasure and a brilliant surprise for us. Having never been or wanted to go to Turkey we could not have been more wrong with misconceptions. This hotel is impeccable, clinical, friendly and generally outstanding. We have not one complaint at all just praise for the staff who run and work at this hotel totally customer satisfaction 100%. Nothing is a problem here the room was 100% perfect the food was100%perfect always what more can you want. In the current climate of covid 19 this hotel is clinical with hand sanitiser everywhere and masks readily available more than here in the UK. We totally enjoyed our two weeks well earned relaxation here thank you Side Star Resort. 👏👏👏👏👏.

After three attempts to get to Lanzarote this year we finally gave up and changed our Jet2 holiday last minute to Turkey and we found this hotel.
After a few idiots on the plane (less said the better), we arrived mid afternoon to our hotel. We were greeted at the door and had our bags sanatised and taken to reception. The check in process was smooth and we were both given a “Covid” kit, with masks, gel and wipes.
We were then taken to our room and shown around. Lovely room with a balcony and a sea view. Beach bags, beach towels, slippers, welcome basket, wine and free mini bar which was filled daily.
The food was still buffet style, but we had to wear disposable gloves and all drinks were served at our table. All tables were socially distanced.
The hotel stall all wore masks, no exceptions. Our room was cleaned fully daily with clean sheets and room and beach towels.
The pool was amazing, with plenty of beds and all spaced out.
The private beach with its giant sun protection was a short walk through the dunes.
The entertainment was decent, but that’s not really our thing anyway.
All in all it was the perfect holiday.

I stayed here the last week in April with my wife. Our first time in Turkey, and we could not fault our hotel choice. A beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean and grand. From check in the staff could not have been more helpful. The room had everything we could have needed, with a restocked mini fridge every day, with 2 of everything in it that you could need (beer, water, coke, sprite etc). Rooms cleaned daily. The complex was superb, the pool, pool bar, the lovely stroll down to the private section of beach passed the tennis court etc. Also a mini bus to take clients down to the beach if the walk is too much. Restaurant food was of a good standard, once you learn your way around and what food is in which area. Our waiter most days was the same as we sat in same area, and his name was 'Ahmet' and highly praise him, he came as soon as we sat down with our water and glass of wine as he noted on day 1 that this was our order. He honestly needs praise for his efforts and hard work. Pool area entertainment team kept everybody going with activities, from darts, football (penalties), archery, air rifle shooting.....endless activities!! Side town is approx 20 mins away, and taxis outside the hotel offer the journey for €17, but why not do what we did, and take the wee local bus (number 5) which stops at the hotel door every 10 minutes, and costs €1!! The bus passes through quite a few shopping regions on route, so easy to just jump off and stroll around. But a full journey to Side essential once just to see the old town and harbour. We will stay at this hotel again as cannot fault it. They are also happy if you order drinks from the bar and take glasses up to your room, and deposit the glasses the next day in the hall where staff will collect them. Excellent holiday, and thankyou to all the staff (of which there are plenty!) for a great holiday. A☆☆☆☆☆

Stayed as a family of four in a 2 bed family room in C block, our room was on the 4th floor and overlooked the main road at the front of the hotel with views towards the mountains which was nice, rooms were a good size with plenty of storage and were cleaned every day. The beds are hard and you only get one pillow each and these were of poor quality, and the duvet isn’t big enough for the bed or fit into the cover properly, and when we requested half way through the week for clean bedding it was replaced and had yellow stains all over it from what looked like a drink spillage ( I hope ! ) for a hotel that advertises as being premium quality then these things need to be addressed. Air con worked well. Kettle in room with tea & coffee and only 2 cups provided despite being a room for 4 people
The food was typical for AI and was plentiful but wasn’t always hot, We preferred the food from the pool and beach bars to be honest as did our teenagers. We had 1 meal at the Mexican a la carte restaurant which was very tasty but book these as soon as you arrive as lots of people where being refused and being put on waiting lists for cancellations. The drinks choices are good and the mini bar in the room was restocked daily.
Entertainment was ok and the animation team worked tirelessly for hours and put so much effort in, they are a credit to the hotel along with the many waiting and cleaning staff.
Beach was lovely and always managed to get a sun bed and the sea was lovely and warm, the pool was always crowded and not enough sun beds and the hotel state they remove towels if left for more than hour and we never witnessed this happening.
Don’t count on a late check out despite being told to request it on the morning of your last day if you have a late flight, if you can get one it’s 50 euro until 3pm or 100 euro until 8pm ( I think or this may be 5pm ) we had hoped for a late check out as our flight wasn’t until midnight, it was refused as they were fully booked which is fair enough and was assured there was a “ nice “ place to shower when needed at the end of our last day, what they don’t tell you is it’s one of 3 showers in the Spa and when we needed to use it so did approx 50 other people and it was filthy ! No clean towels provided thankfully still had pool towels which we hadn’t handed back and the female shower room was piled high with dirty towels and half empty toiletries that had been left by others.
Overall this hotel is ok, glad I didn’t pay what it’s currently being advertised for ( Jet 2 ) sadly wouldn’t stay here again as there are too many things that let it down, the real positives to this hotel are the staff who work so hard day in day out.

There are so many great things to say about Side Star Resort , so I apologise if I miss some out . Myself ,Partner and our 12 year old son had the best 7 days here , (and for the first time in in 20 years my partner was sad to leave ,as opposed to looking forward to our own home comforts , )
The Hotel is spotlessly cleaned from morning to night, could not fault the many outdoor toilet facilities, pool areas or eating areas and the rooms , honestly the staff have tables cleared like well oiled machines except they are humans working very hard in outdoor areas of 40 degrees and they are always happy to serve you more drinks etc ,
The bedrooms was cleaned and made up every day to a great standard with a new towel decoration every day , and free mini bar restocked daily .
Plenty of food choices each evening in the restaurant , so much that we couldn't even try everything , plenty of choices for each nationality in my opinion .
Everything we ate was fresh and tasty , sweets and ice creams are a must
Most nights we could see bosses and executive chefs overseeing the service offered, they definitely care .
Pool bar and beach bar food all day is very good too , the kfc chicken is as good as kfc .
Great choice of drinks , plenty of cocktails to choose from and staff always seem happy to decorate them . Ice coffee is also nice . Non alcohol cocktails also ,pokemon cocktail is great way for the kids to keep hydrated. Imo .
Animation team also work tirelessly all day and every day making sure there's always something different happening for everyone to enjoy , and are not pushy if that's your choice.
I will give a special shout to EGE on the animation team for encouraging me to do the archery and shooting on my second day as I enjoyed the friendly camaraderie it lead to every day after that with some nice people from all nationalities. (He named me the sniper because I kept winning ,) Anyway my son liked him , he seemed to be genuinely a nice friendly and good guy trying to make everyone happy .
All animation team , lifeguards , cleaners , reception , and bar staff work hard , we never had any issues with rudness or the language barrier from any of them.
We had lira and had no probs with it , jet skis cost us about 65 pound sterling after conversion rate for 20 mins ,
Buses to Side from outside hotel every 10 mins cost about 1.50 pp ew , its worth a visit , we did on the evening as its cooler without any issues .
My only complaint is the lack of anything I could think of to complain about.
So we'll done Side Star resort for our best Turkey visit so far .
We will definitely return to this resort and would like to try your others aswell.

We returned from this hotel last week.
Holiday in covid times was a little daunting, but we needn't have worried.
Great hotel. Cases disinfected on arrival and temperature checks.
Masks and gloves worn indoors. Regular hand sanatising.
Sunbeds distanced from others. Waiter table service.
Great animation team with lots of activities all day. Outdoor evening entertainment.
Hotels own beach with beach bar and sun loungers (no extra charge)
Would highly recommend.

Stayed here for 10 days from the 28th july with my 11 year old, 4 year old, my niece and nephew which are 15 & 13, the rooms are cleaned every day & the maid works very hard some days we had hearts on our bed with flowers which was absolutely stunning!
The food is always something different freshly cooked in front of you and the pool bar breaks it up abit with burgers, wraps, pizza, salad and jacket potatoes (also fresh pancakes & ice creams)
Animation team is amazing they work so hard we enjoyed white night & black night all the other nights we was down the town shopping.
Lifeguards are good they call all the children penguins lol.
We booked the quad safari with Abraham down the road (go right outside the hotel) he’s very friendly and has a kitten so if you want to book anything go to him (he will remember you all holiday!)
Me, my husband and daughter was going to have a massage in the hotel but it worked out about 150 euros for 3 of us!! So we booked across the road from the hotel Samis VIP Massage 50 euros for 3 of us - it was amazing 1 hour massage with hot stones! Would highly recommend!
We also done the water sports down there beach we went on the jet skis and banana boat for 5 of us it worked out about 270 euros.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone with children we had the best time.
Thank you!

First visit to Turkey & if hotels are loke this one it doesn't dissapoint please ignore the negative reviews or people griping about germans taking presadense over English speaking guests "absolutely rubbish"
we checked in at 2am due to flight delays had x3 rooms checknin easy shown to small bistro where you can get food 24/7
(small selection obv) offered drinks
rooms spotlessly clean decent size and loads of storage space
food selection is amazing we have stayed in around 10 all inclusive family hotels over the years and this food selection is by far the best I think people who mention a poor choice or "slop" obviously must go around blindfolded if you want food exactly like you have in England then go to a Butlins or Haven caravan park!!
Pool bar food is excellent during the day there is something for every taste at this hotel.
The Turkish food & entertainment night (thursday) is incredible the transformation of the resort and again food choice is amazing made possible by all the staff team never have I been to a hotel where all staff work so hard in all areas there is no need to tip staff but how hard they work this doesn't hurt if you tip now & again you get treated even better however there really is no need
If you want a quiet holiday I would suggest this isn't the hotel for you as its busy and often loud with all the entertainment areas however there is quieter sunbeds on the walk to the beach with is a pleasant 10 minute stroll the entertainment team are all hardworking and pleasant & all speak English enough to get by the pool is excellent but you do have to be up by 8am unfortunately if you want to reserve more then a couple of sunbeds this is as is always the case on "resort type hotels" driven by the germans who seem to now have this as part of their holiday culture!!!
plenty to do in the local area town is a 15 minute stroll (right turn) out of the hotel the no 5 bus takes you into ancient "Side" which is lovely costs 2€ and you can get a taxi to the market in "Gongolu" for around £20
as far as money goes don't bother with English money take euros or Liras but euros will go further you honestly do not need Turkish lira or £ I will bot bring Lira again.
to summarise if your like us easy going and take things as they come you won't be dissapointed a excellent resort the only thing I would say from a environmental perspective is the use of 500ml plastic water bottles they must use around 5000 of these a day why not give guests a reusable bottle to take with them or just fill up cups at the bar we all know worldwide now to use plastic bottles like this in such a wasteful way is irresponsible hopefully the management can look at changing this.
Thank you Sidestar resort for a fantastic first visit to Turkey experience.
we checked in at 2am due to flight delays had x3 rooms checknin easy shown to small bistro where you can get food 24/7

Just got back before having to quarantine, got to say was well above our expectations! The hotel from walking through the door was covid safe, checked temperature, disinfected suitcases and given covid pack. Check in was fast and problem free with a happy receptionist on hand. After being taken to our room and shown how things work ect free mini bar safe and toiletries were a lovely touch. The room was spotlessly clean and enough room for two of us, the only downside was we didn't have much of a view although it didn't bother us to much.
The pool and areas we're well maintained and cleaned regularly, most of the day staff wrre working to keep everything spik n span.
Animation team went above and beyond to keep everyone occupied but didn't pester ppl if they didn't want to participate. Pool bar staff worked tirelessly to keep everyone hydrated in one way or another, they are fantastic as are the staff at the beach bar too!
The food in every area is fantastic, great choice and variety with plenty of restaurants to choose from Al-acarte was lovely too, there is so many plus's about the food n drink i could go on for ages to be honest!
All i can say about our experience at the side star resort is AMAZING i would highly recommend and will DEFINITELY return when all this uncertainty ends
Thank you to all the staff and management for making our holiday a good one
