We spent a 1 week holiday at MAYO GOLF Hotel in 2019 August. The hotel was quite ok, for us the problematic part was the lack of english language knowlodge. I can understand this because I saw thousends of russian people everywhere, but it is a pity that if we would like to talk with the hotel staff we had to use google translate to be sure that we understand each other. Regarding to programs: should improve the opportunities for adults during the evening / night, not only focusing for the children.
Very clean roms, good service. The hotel is okay for families with small childrens. Entertainment every night for the children. Nice beach 5 minuts walk from the hotel. I will not recomend "all inclusive" due to low standard at all meals.
We have stayed at Maya Golf Side for a week and we had a great time. The place is very suitable for families, but it also provides several facilities and activities aimed at all ages. While the room and the food have been decent (nothing really special) the animation team made a difference. Thanks to Vasi, Diana, Sasha and Dennis and the great activities and shows, I really enjoyed the time at Maya Golf Hotel. Some points for improvement, the English language overall in the resort, (there are mostly Russians guests) and the food can be better presented, so you know exactly which dish is what. Overall, great place for families and for a nice holiday.
Food, beverages, service, rooms, location, cleanlines... Everything's medium. It's definetly not a 4 stra hotel. Many Russians (including myself), but it wasn't loud, it's ok to travel here with family should you have limited budget.
Honestly I am not a fussy holiday maker. I paid such a low price for this holiday I did not have high expectations but this hotel was the worst place ive ever been as a British Holidaymaker. The language barrier is extreme with Russian the predominant language spoken, in fact we only encounted 1 member of staff at this hotel who spoke any English the pool guy. I appreciate not every person in the world speaks English and the Russian market is more lucrative, but when asking for an extra pillow takes 20mins! Wifi is only in the hotel reception area, not in your room or by the pool. There is one bar. The drinks including beer are given in the smallest plastic cups you can imagine after 2 sips you need another drink. The website and agents say local alcoholic drinks are provided which is Gin, Vodka, Raki, Beer. And local soft drinks, often from a plastic bottle often warm. The grounds of the hotel are unkept and wild which is a shame. Due to a mix up in my booking with the hotel accross the road we had moved to this hotel to sleep and use the facilities at the Maya World so food I can not really comment on at Maya Golf. We had a number of issues at this hotel with the room (leaking aircon, no towels, broken shower, broken skirting board) and although all were resolved the time and effort it demanded I felt we deserved suitable compensation in the form of upgraded room at the Maya World Hotel were our original booking was made. After a long time trying and negotiating with the manager for both hotels he flat out refused to upgrade us free of charge from a promo room to a standard room. Not a suite or a junior suite, a standard room. eventually I negotiated There is no care for customer service here the manager does not care if we return or not, the staff at the Maya Golf dont care. Having arrived I had only a small amount of turkish money and after a staff member took our cases to our room it was either tip 5lira or 50lira. After I gave him a 5lira he laughed at me and told me this was £1 in England. I was utterly shocked and embarrassed ive never met a member of staff like this and was the worst possible start to our holiday. Simply I don't know why the Maya Golf is so bad they have space and ground and potential to make this hotel lovely but choose to let it decay, allow horrible staff to work there, limit bilingual staff and have pushy spa and photo staff trying to sell you something everytime you walk past. If you have this hotel cancel or be prepared to pay an extra €200 to upgrade to Maya World Accross the road.…
