After reading previous reviews before staying at the hotel, I was quite apprehensive about going there. Do not believe stupid comments. I stayed alone at this hotel for 28 days. I was made to feel welcome from day one. The food is fantastic and all restaurant staff kind and friendly. Hygiene 10 out 10. Animation team, the best I have met. Muti, Ahmet, Eren, Sonny, and their boss Hakan were all excellent, friendly and hard working, Pedro the older one was exceptional. All the waiters and bar staff, all helpful and friendly, especially yusef (cat stevens) and Tiger. All the management I came into contact with were great. Room cleaners all work very hard Reception team helpful and friendly. I am sorry if I have missed anyone out, has I cannot spell their name. This is a fantastic hotel and staff. Will definitely return. Thank you all.

Despite the food being below par and some of the staff being rude (the night manager was rude to me and my friends on many occasions) the animation team made up for all of it. Zey, Multi, Ahmet, Eren and their boss Hakan were beyond incredible. Not only did they keep us entertained for the whole holiday. Not only did they keep us entertained, but they were so friendly and remembered all all of our names and sat with us even after they finished work. They truly made my time here the best it could have been. They were always keeping all the guests happy and we're amazing with the kids. Hakan is fluent in multiple languages too! The pool bar staff were also awesome. Payed 450 for flights, accommodation and transfers. Really can't complain. Would come again 💯 purely to see the animation team again!

I’d give this 0 stars if I could. Absolutely awful experience at this hotel. Save your money and do not book this hotel. My female friend got assaulted by one of the male staff members a few days before me and my boyfriend arrived. When we heard about this we didn’t want to come on the holiday at all because our anxiety was so bad. When we arrived the staff could barely speak any English and were so rude. The shoe seller is a con artist who tries to trick people into buying shoes off him. I felt so unsafe here. The food was disgusting and many of my friends got food poisoning. The rooms are very dated and me and my boyfriend paid for a double room but when we arrived were given a tiny room with two single beds. We only stayed here one night as we were moved the next day due to the assault incident and one night was enough! I couldn’t have stayed here for a week or more. The area around the hotel also didn’t appear very safe.

My friend and I are just back from this hotel after spending a week there, never again will I go back to this hotel, right from being dropped off it was bad, no one there to greet you and when we did check-in we were not asked if we would like a drink before the bar closed. Once in our rooms which weren't the worst but very dated decor although clean and basic. The mini fridge only contained 4 small cartons of water very disappointing. If you like a firm bed then at least you can get a good sleep. Next was the food which was terrible to start with the plates were cold and the food not much warmer and did not look appealing and was the same menus every day hence we ate out all the time, nothing was labelled to say what the food was or what it contained which was bad for people with dietary problems or have allergy issues even the salad bar looked like it had been in the open air for days and was not in a chilled area. The staff and management very rude the pictures are deceiving, how they can be classed as 5 star is beyond me. If I was a hotel inspector I would be raging and disgusted. My friend caught a bug while in this hotel. Please don't even think of going here.

Do not go to this hotel. Absolutley disgusting, the members of staff do not like English people, the food here is all based on German people. We had a massive leak in our room as air conditioning was leaking. No one sorted the leak. None of staff spoke English. Also if you wanted a drink they put a tip box in front of you before your drink was served. Never again will I ever stay in this hotel. Absolutley dirty and mould all over the walls in the bathroom. Wouldn't rate this a 5* I wouldn't even rate it a 1*

Reading the reviews on this hotel I was worried I was not going to enjoy my holiday so thought I would write my own to help with other travellers. I stayed at the Sultan of Side Hotel between 17th - 24th September with my boyfriend. We had a late flight and arrived there early hours so was worried we would have the same issues as previous visitors with our room not being ready. We arrived at reception and had no issues checking in. The young man was helpful and another guy escorted us to our room with our luggage. The room I will admit was a bit outdated and the decor needed redoing. It was however clean which was the main thing. We only really used the main pool. Plenty of sunloungers and there was no need to get up ridiculously early. The only downfall about the pool was that a large portion of it was in the shade in the afternoons. We did not speak to the animation team much but they seemed lovely and polite. Hasan would speak over the microphone to announce the daytime and night time activities/ entertainment in various languages to cater for all guests. (We found that we were the minority as an English couple as there were a lot of guests from Germany, Russia etc). They would do water polo and water aerobics in the pool most days. On Thursday, there was a foam party by the pool which looked like good fun for both adults and kids. The restaurant did do a lot of the same thing which was only really an issue of an evening for dinner. I feel there were plenty of options for breakfast but believe people need to remember you are in Turkey not England if you are expecting a fry up! I love having the Turkish meats and cheeses for breakfast so didn't mind this. I also had toasties or pancakes on other days. They also make fresh omelettes. We didn't really eat at the restaurant for lunch but ate at the snack bar. Here they often did chicken and chips or rice and salad. The jacket potato's in the afternoon were lovely. They also did cakes, fruit and ice creams. Entertainment was good. We stayed to watch the Turkish night. Moroccan dancers night, ladies competition and couples competition nights.. They last around 1-1.5 hrs. The only downfall I would say of an evening was that the music after the entertainment could have been better to encourage you to stay at the bar area for longer. There were plenty of shops outside the hotel for you to find the best deal on the fake designer brands. We got a taxi to the Manavgat market on Monday which I would recommend going to. We also visited Side old town one evening. It is quite expensive there but the shop buildings were beautiful and we also went down to see the ancient ruins and Apollo temple.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here from the 21st-28th September 2022 and I must say as an English person you are completely overlooked as most people in this hotel are German! All the staff speak German and don’t really understand English atall. The animation team will only speak to people who talk the same language as them so you don’t get invited to play any games or anything like this. The food in the hotel is the same everyday and gets very boring after 3-4 nights! They have a late night dinner for if you get there late, however it is one thing and not the best! You have to sit in the restaurant in the dark too at the late night dinner. The bar staff are good and very attentive towards you though, Mehmet and Ali are the best in the hotel. When I booked it said we got one night free al a carte, and I’d we wanted another we had to pay extra which was fine. I went to the reception to try and book this and the man at reception said we only do it on Wednesdays so you can’t do it as we arrived late Wednesday evening! Which was a shame as we were looking forward to having something different for one night!! The pool is big and there are always sun beds available but they are very close together so sometimes feel uncomfortable sitting right next to someone. They play music by the pool everyday and it is very loud so when laying on the sun beds by the speaker it can be very unrelaxing! The beach is lovely but very crowded! We were not able to get a sun bed atall later on during the day! The sun beds are also very close to one another! To get a sun bed you have to be one of the first people down there! The location of the hotel is good with lots of shops to go in however, you do get harassed as your walking down the street by shop owners to buy things. The rooms are dated, small and not overly clean. The pictures on the website make the rooms look massive however they are not! Mostly around this area they like you to use Euro(€) rather than lira. The tours rep from star holidays gave us false information regarding the calypso boat trip that cost us €70. He said the boat trip would be from 9-3 and then back to the hotel! It was from about 10:30-2pm. He also said we would go out to an island have a swim, jump off the boat, see sea turtles and dolphins. However this was not the case. We were on the boat down the river, straight out into the sea and then turned around and came back to where we started!!! They gave us food on the boat but made us both Ill too! Another thing, he said we would be dropped back to our hotel for 3pm. Once we got off the boat the people said so we’re going to the market now and you will need to be back on the bus by 17:30 to go back to your hotel otherwise you will have to get your own cab home! This was also not spoken about with the rep so we ended up having to pay more money just to go back to the hotel earlier as we didn’t want to spend 3 hours at the market!! The transfer to the hotel was long and not expected to be as long as they said when we got on the bus! I paid for a transfer max 4 stops and 1 hour 45 maximum time. When we got on the bus they said it was going to be 9 stops and a 3 hour journey which we were not Impressed with atall. This hotel claims it’s a 5* however I feel that it is more of a 3* due to my experience and I would not be recommending it to family/friends in the future!

We have just returned from a 10 night stay in the hotel. First of all the room we were allocated was small but adequate. We only had 1 coathanger and the wardrobe had a safe and a fridge in there so not much hang your clothes. The TV was small and the sound was not very good. The bedding composed of a bottom sheet and a small blanket. The hotel itself was dated and did show signs of wear and tear but it was clean/ The food was typical all inclusive but catered for the masses of Russians/Germans etc. The Drinks were CRAP ! all drinks we had were flat. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The entertainment was ok every other night .This is not a 5* hotel so bear that in mind. Having said that we had a nice time. I must add that 5 times a day you had to hear the chant for the prayers over a loud speaker (Not the hotels fault) as there is a mosque nearby.
