Really disappointing Just wanted to put in a update after our recent holiday I know everyone has their own opinion so leave it up to you but I was really very unimpressed with the hotel Entertainment: kids mini disco was ok at 8.30 pm but then that finished at 9pm we then had to wait till 9.30 for rest of entertainment which did t always start till 9.45 after staff handing out certificates and things by this point my children was tired so couldn’t manage to stay awake for the show so would be good if they could start earlier also the entertainment I found was very much the same dancing or some form of acrobatics Food: well this was a big issue for us we traveled as a group of nine 5 adults 4 children so when we went to the restaurant it was difficult to get a table for nine not much tables outside to cater for big families we got outside two times in two weeks in the evening as for the food itself breakfast was very much the same which I expect lunch a better choice outside food fried chicken kebabs pizza gozlume or beach bar this was good evening meal very disappointing same food every night only change was steak lamb varied I expect this from a all inclusive to be repetitive but seriously this was bad usually other hotels do theme nights to vary it up this would have been great. Drinks: trying to order drinks was a nightmare the language barrier was really tough and we felt they was very inpatient in waiting for our order there is no self service only on coffee didn’t even get bottled water on the table which I think would be very useful. Rooms: the rooms was nice clean and spacious mini bar was well stocked and the kids enjoyed it aircon even though it was on was rubbish my children and us was so hot Pools : was nice a little cool but once you was in it was great it did start getting busier the second week and people was up getting sun beds so if you wanted a certain spot you had to be up Staff: There was some nice members of staff but very few we found a lot very rude and wasn’t accommodating you don’t expect this when you pay so much money to go to a hotel of 5 star the language barrier was huge never had this problem when we have been to turkey before they seem more at ease and cater towards the German market they didn’t seem to come to our table like they did others they say there a very family hotel but in my opinion they wasn’t Overly all we had abuse from other people who wasn’t English not being disrespectful to others as our children like to run round and oviously there kids they said they shouldn’t have been in the bar area well we all like to have a drink and they wasn’t hurting anyone so this was unfair if kids are annoying then don’t go to a family hotel most definatly won’t be returning after spending so much money

This review is echoed by all 17 people that we traveled with. Like i said there was 17 of us and we all enjoyed the experience of the royal dragon. the check in was seamless and quick, when we got to the rooms we were impressed by the size but also the views. I think all the rooms are pretty much the same so you wont be disappointed. the minibar is always stock and totally free. The cleaner came round every morning and did an excellent job. The Pool area is awesome and there was always free sunbeds even at 10.30 when we were getting up. Even thought the pool was cold we still enjoyed it and if anything it was refreshing. The bar at the side of the pool is easy to get served and the drinks are good. The lager is EFFES which i didn't mind and is a decent lager. The food stations that are round that side of the pool are excellent, there was a choice of 3 main snacks when we were there. KEBAB - The meat was to die for and they changed it from Chicken to Lamb on different days and you had a choice of 3 breads as well. CHICKEN - the chicken was really nice, my kids said better than KFC PIZZA - thin base decent toppings , what more do you want . there was also the deserts which really top it all off . you could get Churoz, donuts, tarts , and lots more but they were all really nice. The buffet restaurant was also better than a lot of places i have stayed with this style of self service food. the omelettes were made to order for breakfast and they had a selection of high quality meats on different days for dinner and tea. The entertainment was OK , live music in the Lobby bar and something else in the downstairs theater most nights, like Karaoke or a quiz. I believe that the entertainment gets rammed up in may and there will be more on offer. The staff were all polite enough and there was a bit of a language barrier but it dint affect anything we wanted to do. and the hotel is full or Germans but again this didn't mater either they were all OK . If you want to venture out of the hotel there is a small shopping complex with a bar in the corner called THE PUB its a guy called NIKO that runs it and he is really nice , they will also show any sport that you want on the big screen. I would avoid the Full English Breakfast though (its a poor effort) but the PIZZAS were nice. All in all a decent holiday and we will be going back in a few years time i think. Thanks Damien

We stayed here for 2 weeks at the beginning of April. Our first time in Turkey and the hotel didn’t disappoint. The hotel is immaculate, cleaners constantly coming around cleaning. The rooms were superb, we booked 2 x superior doubles and upgraded one room to a family duplex upon check in. The rooms are spacious and clean, fridges stocked daily. Food is vast, pretty much can eat 24 hours a day if you wanted to with breakfast, late breakfast then pool food stations open at 12pm through until 4pm. The staff go above and beyond, the entertainment staff are amazing, they remember everyone’s names and spoke to us every day without fail. Plenty to do during the day with pool side and beach activities we were never once bored, The aqua park which is located between the dragon and the sister hotel next door was great for kids and also had a pool bar for food and drinks. We got there early in the season so I don’t think we got the full night time entertainment experience, would love to see some of the shows in the Amphitheater located above the pool bar but maybe next time! Although the hotel was majority German guests, we didn’t feel out of place, we had some great conversations even with language barriers, everyone we spoke to was able to speak reasonably good English. Everything you could want or need from a hotel was provided here, we loved it so much that we will be returning next year for my other half’s 40th…already booked it 🙈

So the hotel is great for kids I would say 7+ we have young children and they were too young for most of the activities. The evenings well there wasn’t any entertainment except for one of bars had music or sometimes bingo and a mini disco for the children. The food is repeated constantly and the staff struggle to communicate in English as most of the travellers are from Germany. Some of the staff are amazing but I wouldn’t say all, this may be due to their lack of English. Air con didn’t work in the room but it was always perfectly cleaned. The beach however had broken pottery throughout the sand and lots of people complained how they’re feet had Been sliced open. We stayed for 2 weeks and during the end of the holiday we caught a bug from the hotel, which meant 4 days in a room. The hotel were not helpful I asked For more water they wouldn’t, we explained we need to keep the room due to the sickness and they said it was an additional charge. Even though we explained that the children are projectile vomiting and we don’t want to infect other people on vacation. All and all it wasn’t for us and we won’t be returning ever!!!

We have previously stayed at the royal Alhambra 3 times and had booked the same hotel again, however we were told 4 weeks before going that the Alhambra would not be open so we decided to come here instead. With it being the sister hotel we expected like for like which we more or less got! The hotel is impressive and squeaky clean (literally) the floors squeak as you walk on them! The rooms are clean and spacious however the air con wasn’t working and being in a duplex we found it difficult to sleep as it was really warm. The food is good and plenty of choice but it’s the same every day. No theme days so after a week in we were getting pretty bored of it! They have stations around the pool bar that serve kebabs, jacket potatoes, fruit, biscuits, waffles, fried chicken, pizza, toasties and more that I can’t remember so if you’re into grazing on food this is the place for you! On the beach bar you can get a simple lunch which includes chips and help yourself salad ranging from burgers, kebabs, fried chicken, and pasta soups and bread. The water slides are in the hotel next door and easy to access, you can also use their pool bar for drinks. Entertainment ( what there was of it) in the day they had beach bowls, volley ball, darts, yoga, Zumba and other activities however beware of the guy who does the volley ball as he was asking my daughter to go for a walk with him on the beach and was always making a bee-line for her and trying to sit next to her in the evenings (he was creeping her out) the entertainment mostly preferred to speak in German and when we joined in with the darts we felt out of the loop as they just spoke German although they knew we were English. We visited the al a carte once during our stay (Italian) and had a lovely 4 course meal. Well worth €40 for 4 people. The arcade is great just to kill some time playing pool or bowling and the guy on the bar there is so friendly and professional he really goes above and beyond even under pressure when it’s busy he got the biggest tip from us!! His name is Muslim so give him a big high 5 from us!! ⭐️ The spa is pricy … but your on holiday right!?? The kids had the full Turkish bath experience ( I say kids but they’re 19 and 21) €49 each Due to recently having fresh tattoos my hubby and I had a massage and hot stones which was just bliss!! €40 each for a hour. But afterwards you have a consultation and they always push you to have more treatments… just be firm and say no!! Beware of trip shops up the road we did a horse riding trip and some scruff guy turned up in a battered van and took us to some waste land behind a hotel 20 mins away then preoceeded to get 4 horses tied to different trees and got saddles out of the van and told us to get on, not hats and no guidance on how to control the horses!!! After walking on the horses for 10 mins we had to cross a main road on them (the most unsafe trip I have ever experienced) from then on we booked our trips through our rep and we had a great time on the buggy / quad safari. So in a nutshell it was a great hotel, some of the staff need watching around young ladies, great food but same every day, and great location!

The Covid 19 measures are not followed at all in the hotel, it work with a capacity over 90%. Nobody from the staff wears masks. We has reservations for 2 rooms and they put is in far away rooms and say it is impossible to be next to each other since "the requirement is quite specific and cannot be fulfilled at the last moment". Our reservation is since 4 months ago. Also the facility is rather old and definitely not 5*. The furniture has damage. The pillows are really old and not even shaped as pillows anymore. Partial sea view is no sea view. The staff is super unfriendly. Really don't waste your vacation time here

Excellent hotel. We rested for 10 days in June-July 2021. Excellent staff, rooms are clean, food is varied and delicious, very tasty, the animation (entertainment) team is young, proactive, cheerful. Professional service - photographers and massage therapists at their best. Among the masseurs I would like to mention facial treatments (Madame Gürcü), masseurs Rüya and Mücahit. The water park and lunapark are very interesting even for older children. We highly recommend it!
