Very good service, excellent food, responsive staff. A beautiful hotel with a very green area. Good professional evening shows and live music. The rooms are simple but cozy. Good location - nearby is a shopping street with a supermarket and bazaars.
Accommodation was fantastic Super quiet Relaxing and fun Food was the best we’ve ever eaten inTurkey Loved the gardens, wildlife and environmental care- Staff were all very friendly & courteous Beach was super close as is the water park Facilities at the beach were just right- not too much Water sports were spot on Can’t wait to return
Everything was wonderful, the service, the food unique, the entertainment on the beach, the evening shows in the complex, the live music. The waiters are always smiling and perfect. The cleaning of the rooms is fast, on time without bothering and always with a pleasant surprise. A brilliant holiday.
We visited Alibey park (park and club are the same hotel & shared facilities) Upon arrival we was greeted by very welcoming staff who insisted we eat and have refreshments before the kitchen closed and then to come back and check in. This was very good of them as after a full day of travelling it was much needed. I would point out if you are arriving after 10pm you will miss out of an evening meal as all the restaurants are closed by then. The facilities were amazing definitely 5/5 from us. Everywhere was spotless, constantly being cleaned and the overall decor was very up to date and modern. The entertainment was brilliant. Gave us something to look forward to every night. Anything from pantomimes, dance routines or simply an acoustic singer on the beach they’ll be something for everyone. The beach is brilliant, very clean, plenty of sunbeds which aren’t on top of each other and not once did we struggle getting one (we did visit outside of peak season though) The pool areas again were great, plenty of sunbeds, very clean and rather large pools. Staff throughout our stay was faultless. They always went out of our way to cater for us and help us whenever we needed. Very friendly and full of chat and always up for a laugh but very professional. Our room (premium family suite) was at best a 3/5 star rating. Although clean, modern and spacious, the premium charge to upgrade this room wasn’t justifiable. It definitely lacked the 5* star feel. Very basic and simple things like only having 2 of each drinks in the fridge when there’s 3 of us, 2 coffee cups when again it was a room for 3. The house keeping fixed this the next morning which we was thankful for. Although the room was fine - it just definitely wasn’t 5* and to think we had the best suite Alibey have available I’d be interested to see what the basic rooms are like. I think the premium we paid to have this room, all we got was a more modern interior. If you are wanting day trips out of the Resort PLEASE JUST USE THE LOCAL BUSES - the taxis are very expensive (Around 30 euros return to the nearest local town) compared to buses which are literally 1 Euro per person to pretty much anywhere! There are bus stops literally 5 minute walk from the resort which a quick google search will show you. I do wish when we asked the resort they’d be more helpful when we asked about the buses as they just insisted we used taxis (Maybe no fault of there own) we went to Sidè & Managvat on the bus and it was great! If this is something you want todo then download the App MOOVIT as this will direct you to the nearest bus stop. We was sceptical at first but the bus drivers were very helpful and told us when to get off and where to go ext! Another slight let down of our hotel was the food and drinks package. We was unaware that the all inclusive ONLY allows you to have the local spirits/ beer. You have to pay 15 Euros extra, per person, per night. When there is 3 of you staying for 3 nights this is ALOT of money to be paying when your staying 10 nights. Also if you do decide to upgrade to the Ultra all inclusive, everyone in the group has to also, certain members of the party can’t just upgrade it has to be everyone which is unfair if you have someone within your group who doesn’t drink Alcohol (obviously I understand why this rule is implemented so the drinks aren’t passed throughout the group) You can however, decide to upgrade later on in your holiday, for example we stayed 10 nights and only the final 3 nights we could have upgraded to have access to the Ultra all inclusive. If you do upgrade to the Ultra All inclusive I would also like to point out this only included basic imported brands such as Beefeater, barcardi, Jack daniels ext, don’t be expecting to have grey goose included - these are a further charge. This didn’t end up bothering us a few days into our holiday as we got used to it but even in the basic all inclusive it would be great if they had even just 1 rum and 1 whiskey available as they didn’t have a single either one of these Included which was abit disappointing. There local beer, Effes Is decent though atleast! The food was good. Plenty of variety, all very hot and fresh and something for everyone. Chefs will cook meat, fish and fresh pizza infront of you and the selection was truly brilliant. The only let down with the food is that it’s the same choice every night. When we booked the holiday it was advertised to host Indian, Mexican, Spanish food ext ext but this was simply just the same restaurants just doing a different themed nights and even though these themes were in place, the food throughout our trip was pretty much the same. Not really what we expected. Still, the food was tasteful and fresh with a great selection. Another point is that when the restaurants shut at 9pm, that’s pretty much it for you having access to anymore food throughout the evening. For someone like me who likes to snack throughout the evening I was abit disappointed at once the restaurants shut that was it - aside from just warm nuts they had to offer. Overall our holiday was amazing. The small details which we was abit disappointed by didn’t spoil an amazing holiday as we truly had the best time. We would definitely return to this resort but please be mindful about what’s included and what to expect which hopefully this review does. The only reason we voted 4/5 as id say the limited drinks package and the room just knocked it down a rating. Thanks Alibey for a truly lovely holiday!…
Had a great holiday with great pools and entertainment. The resort and rooms were starting to look a bit tired but I believe the rooms are being updated. My only real criticism would be the food which was passable at best. The food at all AI hotels gets repetitive after a while but this was really drab, bored after day 3 and real couldn’t of stuck it for two weeks. There is just one alacarte restaurant on site and you need to pay for this and no other restaurants within walking distance.
Great holiday. Lovely location beautiful hotel with amazing water park. Staff were very friendly and the lifeguards at the water park made it a real fun time at the park. Hotel rooms were clean and all the food was great. Branded soft drinks and ice creams. Amazing beach with warm sea.
from start to finish our holiday was excellent .The resturants entertainment and facilities were first class. The staff could not do enough for us and the site was spotless.Perfect for families and couples.one of if not the best holiday we have had.Thank you.We will be back.
A superb experience again as this was my third time of visiting Ali Bay, the evening entertainment 2nd to none, an area within complex for every mood during the day and well within easy reach of great shopping in Lyra
The hotel is located in a park with a beautiful landscape. Perfect for a family vacation or a romantic vacation with wonderful service and delicious food. An unforgettable experience - we would love to visit again.
Positives - Fantastic hotel, we were in the 'renovated' rooms within the Park end and cannot complain at all. The beach bar was a very welcome addition - for lunch times it was a kind of A-la-carte with full service from a set menu (pizza, cheeseburgers, pasta etc) and on an evening (buffet style) sat by the beach gave you a different kind of ambience. The 2no main restaurants were busy- but at the same time easy to manage (apart from rude guests at times who refused to queue if necessary, and just thought they could 'walk' all over you and push in). There were times when it was difficult to get a table but if you adjusted your times to suit, then no issues with eating. The food was actually the best I have had in terms of choice, availability, heat/warmth at an all-inclusive hotel, we stopped for 14 days and always had an option to choose, The water park was just a refreshing change - very good addition to the hotel and gave some respite from the normal daily activities - the pool with the jets was very enjoyable. The entertainment team were very good (in general) and always tried to include you in the activities, but if you said no - they left you alone and never pestered you. There appeared to always be something happening, so never really bored. Some of the evening shows were very good The actual beach - was very stoney, but very nice and clean and although the sea dropped very sharply (depth) - it was very nice to swim in and appeared clean. Cleaners - wow, there were cleaners everywhere and the rooms and the restaurants, pool areas, toilets etc were always being cleaned. Welcome addition of the ice cream station and the fact these were branded was an added bonus. People did comment on the fact that not all drinks were part of the all-inclusive package, but we never had an issue with this, as whilst not big drinkers, we always had something to choose and drink and if you asked for snacks then a small bowl of peanuts were given. There was actually one barman who thought he was 'Tom Cruise' and he was very good and funny and always asking you to try different drinks etc. To avoid the queuing situation, we found that it was just as easy to find a table and then await one of the team to come and take your drink order (Burak was very attentive and welcoming and made life a lot easier) There were also waffles and pretzels on an afternoon that were brought out at set times, both very nice and just gave you something else to snack on if required. Negatives (if this is what they can be classed as?) There were some people who just refused to queue at the bars etc and just pushed in and spoke over everyone (I realise this is not the hotels doing, but unfortunately some of the bar staff, then just ignored you and served them, sometimes leaving you standing there for up to 10 minutes) I did voice my opinion on this on more than one occasion and the 'blue shirts' knew this and then arranged for you to be served. The hotel is very much set up for this nationality and not the British! Fortunately, all the positives outweighed this issue. There was however, one member of the bar team who was plain ignorant and (in my opinion) had an issue with the British, he would always leave you standing and just smirk at you when he saw you starting to get annoyed. This was the reason that towards the end of the holiday we started relying upon Burak and the other waiters to prevent this man spoiling our holiday. The same man was constantly moaning that he was tired and needed a holiday (he spoke if there was no-one else at the bar, but then all he did was moan) and at times made us feel guilty for holidaying. I assume he must upset people on a regular basis as he appeared to wear different name badges as I made a point of checking as I wanted to name him due to his conduct, during the holiday- he had name badges for 'Ronaldo' Nici' Nagi and 2 others that were worn out so you couldn't actually read them, it turned out that he was called Nagi and he was in charge of all the rotas of the personnel, I assume this is how he had access to different name badges? His biggest fault would be that he would see you at the bar and then serve others who arrived after you and then when it got to what we thought should be our turn, he would just leave through the door behind the bar and leave you hanging? Shops on site for everyday items and clothes are very expensive (I actually bought a watch from the Jeweller at the Club side and after research he was very well priced) there are shops just outside the complex that are a quarter of the price on site, which is disappointing really as they see you as a 'cashcow' Smoking - it is everywhere and whilst not the hotels fault, you notice as the holiday goes on - everyone appears to have a smoker's cough and all your clothes smell of stale cigarettes In all - I would have given 5 stars but for the above. Would I return again - YES, this hotel has a lot going for it and even with the above 'issues' I/we fully enjoyed our holiday and made some good memories, Finally - we got a private transfer and after speaking with others - it was worth every penny due to the transfer times involved. …
